Turkish English Tafsir Lesson 39

Turkish English Tafsir Lesson 39

Al-Quran Al-Kareem – Tafsir (Exegesis) Lesson 39

Astaizu Billah! [2:178] “ʾuḥilla lakum laylata ṣ-ṣiyāmi r-rafathu ʾilā nisāʾikum hunna libāsun lakum wa-ʾantum libāsun lahunna ʿalima llāhu ʾannakum kuntum takhtānūna ʾanfusakum fa-tāba ʿalaykum wa-ʿafā ʿankum fa-l-ʾāna bāshirūhunna wa-btaghū mā kataba llāhu lakum wa-kulū wa-shrabū ḥattā yatabayyana lakumu l-khayṭu l-ʾabyaḍu mina l-khayṭi l-ʾaswadi mina l-fajri thumma ʾatimmū ṣ-ṣiyāma ʾilā l-layli wa-lā tubāshirūhunna wa-ʾantum ʿākifūna fī l-masājidi tilka ḥudūdu llāhi fa-lā taqrabūhā ka-dhālika yubayyinu llāhu ʾāyātihī li-n-nāsi laʿallahum yattaqūn” Let us see what our Almighty Rabb (Lord) says: [2:187] “It is made halal (lawful) for you to have intimacy with your wives on the nights of the fast. They are a cover for you, and you are a cover for them. Allah has accepted your supplication, and has forgiven you for Allah knew you cannot trust yourselves (nafs). Now, you can be intimate with them, and seek what Allah has written for you. Eat and drink until you can distinguish the white thread of the dawn from the black thread. Then, observe the fast until the next night. However, do not be intimate with them when you are in masjids for I’tikaaf. These are boundaries set by Allah. Do not go near them.” That is, when you are fasting, and in the masjids for I’tikaaf. Intimacy with wives is permissible at nights for he who fasts but he who stays in masjid for I’tikaaf cannot do that night or day. [2:187] “Allah explains the verses to people in this way so that they may beware and guard themselves.” So, my dearest friend! Janâb-i Haqq has set a wide array of halal (lawful) things. Allah does not keep blessings (nimet) away from the servants. The number of haram (sinful) things are defined, but there are also dubious ones. It is necessary to stay away from dubious ones. That way, one may guard his religion, and belief (iman). [2:188] “And do not eat up the wealth of one another due to false (batil) reasons.” [2:188] “wa-lā taʾkulū ʾamwālakum baynakum bi-l-bāṭili wa-tudlū bihā ʾilā l-ḥukkāmi li-taʾkulū farīqan min ʾamwāli n-nāsi bi-l-ʾithmi wa-ʾantum taʿlamūn” [2:188] “Do not bribe judges with some of that wealth in order to eat up of the wealth knowingly and sinfully.” Islam was sent down to abolish injustice and to give everyone their rights. There is no permission for injustice and cruelty in Islam. [2:189] “yasʾalūnaka ʿani l-ʾahillati qul hiya mawāqītu li-n-nāsi wa-l-ḥajji wa-laysa l-birru bi-ʾan taʾtū l-buyūta min ẓuhūrihā wa-lākinna l-birra mani ttaqā wa-ʾtū l-buyūta min ʾabwābihā wa-ttaqū llāha laʿallakum tufliḥūn” [2:189] “They ask you about the phases of the moon. Say, ‘They are units of time for people and hajj,’. And al-birr (goodness) is not that you enter your house through the back. But that is he who does good, and guards himself from evil. Enter your houses through their doors and fear Allah so that you may attain salvation,” said Allah (c.c.)

Time Stamp: 5:01

You see, another superstitious custom and fallacy is that on some days they would enter their houses through the back instead of the proper doors. There were many similar superstitious (batil) beliefs. Islam has abolished all fallacies and superstitious beliefs and manifested the true (haqq) Islamic belief. Janâb-i Haqq also sad: [2:190] “wa-qātilū fī sabīli llāhi lladhīna yuqātilūnakum wa-lā taʿtadū ʾinna llāha lā yuḥibbu l-muʿtadīn” [2:191] “wa-qtulūhum ḥaythu thaqiftumūhum wa-ʾakhrijūhum min ḥaythu ʾakhrajūkum wa-l-fitnatu ʾashaddu mina l-qatli wa-lā tuqātilūhum ʿinda l-masjidi l-ḥarāmi ḥattā yuqātilūkum fīhi fa-ʾin qātalūkum fa-qtulūhum ka-dhālika jazāʾu l-kāfirīn” [2:192] “fa-ʾini ntahaw fa-ʾinna llāha ghafūrun raḥīm” [2:193] “wa-qātilūhum ḥattā lā takūna fitnatun wa-yakūna d-dīnu li-llāhi fa-ʾini ntahaw fa-lā ʿudwāna ʾillā ʿalā ẓ-ẓālimīn” [2:194] “ash-shahru l-ḥarāmu bi-sh-shahri l-ḥarāmi wa-l-ḥurumātu qiṣāṣun fa-mani ʿtadā ʿalaykum fa-ʿtadū ʿalayhi bi-mithli mā ʿtadā ʿalaykum wa-ttaqū llāha wa-ʿlamū ʾanna llāha maʿa l-muttaqīn” [2:195] “wa-ʾanfiqū fī sabīli llāhi wa-lā tulqū bi-ʾaydīkum ʾilā t-tahlukati wa-ʾaḥsinū ʾinna llāha yuḥibbu l-muḥsinīn” Let us see what our Almighty Rabb (Lord) says in these verses: [2:190] “Fight in the way of Allah with those who declare war on you. But do not attack unjustly for Allah does not like those who attack unjustly.” [2:191] “Kill them wherever you find them and drive them out from where they drove you out. That fitnah (conflict, discord) is more severe than killing. But do not fight with them near Al-Masjid-ul-Harām unless they fight you. But if they try to kill you, then kill them immediately for such is the punishment of the disbelievers (kāfirs).” [2:192] “But, if they renounce from polytheism then indeed Allah is most-Forgiving, most-Merciful.” [2:193] “Fight them until there is no fitnah (conflict, discord) left and until the religion is for Allah. But if they give up, hostility is only towards the wrongdoers.” [2:194] “The sacred month for the sacred month and all that is sacred is equal to one another. So, should anyone attack you, you should attack them with the same way they attacked you. And fear from Allah and do not overstep. And know that Allah is with the pious.” [2:195] “Spend your wealth in the cause of Allah do not throw yourselves into danger with your own hands and behave good. Allah likes those who do good.” So, we see here that Janâb-i Haqq explains all aspects of jihad (struggle). So, what is jihad (struggle) important? That is, in order to have peace, social justice belief (iman), the truth (haqq) and verity (haqiqa) and the divine rulership to be completely predominant on earth which will be the salvation of the humanity from polytheism disbelief (kufr), nifaq (hypocrisy), and transgression. Jihad is salvation and bliss for the humanity. Islam expresses the matter of jihad that saves the humanity by making peace predominant in the world. In Islam, the matter of war is only about predominance of peace.

Time Stamp: 10:01

That is, for the prosperity of humanity. So, that war is not about killing people. That is, in order to remove cancerous cells from the body in order to save it. Thus, achieving peace. The entire humanity is like a single body. Disbelief (kufr), polytheism (shirk), nifaq (hypocrisy), and transgression are enemies of the humanity that reside within the humanity. These are also enemies of Allah. These things are enemies of the truth (haqq) and verity (haqiqa). You see, the aim here is to save people from such things by establishing peace and serenity making peace and tranquility predominant for the entire world and the entire humanity. The goal here is to take the world from the hands of the evil and hand it over to able hands. Now, let us see what Janâb-i Haqq says about the matter of Hajj (pilgrimage). [2:195] “wa-ʾatimmū l-ḥajja wa-l-ʿumrata li-llāhi fa-ʾin fa-ʾin ʾuḥṣirtum fa-mā staysara mina l-hadyi wa-lā taḥliqū ruʾūsakum ḥattā yablugha l-hadyu maḥillahū fa-man kāna minkum marīḍan ʾaw bihī ʾadhan min raʾsihī fa-fidyatun min ṣiyāmin ʾaw ṣadaqatin ʾaw nusukin fa-ʾidhā ʾamintum fa-man tamattaʿa bi-l-ʿumrati ʾilā l-ḥajji fa-mā staysara mina l-hadyi fa-man lam yajid fa-ṣiyāmu thalāthati ʾayyāmin fī l-ḥajji wa-sabʿatin ʾidhā rajaʿtum tilka ʿasharatun kāmilatun dhālika li-man lam yakun ʾahluhū ḥāḍirī l-masjidi l-ḥarāmi wa-ttaqū llāha wa-ʿlamū ʾanna llāha shadīdu l-ʿiqāb” Sadaqa Allaah al-‚Azeem (Allah Almighty has spoken the truth). Our Rabb (Lord) says: [2:196] “Complete the Hajj (pilgrimage) and Umrah for Allah” The benefits and values Hajj and Umrah brings to the humanity is beyond measure. Baitullah is the House of Allah. He who goes there is in the table of rahmat (mercy) of Allah and in the feast of Allah. The virtue (fazilat) of going there is also beyond measure. [2:196] “If you prevented from these then send (sacrifice) an animal that you can afford with ease. And do not shave your heads until that sacrificial animal reaches the place where it will be sacrificed. If any of you is sick, or has a scalp disease (that necessitate shaving) then a fidyah is required in the form of fasting sadaqah (alms-giving), or sacrificing an animal. And when you are safe whoever wants to earn thawāb via Umrah until Hajj he should sacrifice an animal he can easily afford. As for those who cannot find that they should fast for three days in Hajj and seven days when they return completing ten days of fast. This decree is for those whose family do not reside near Al-Masjid-ul-Harām. Fear Allah, and know that the punishment of Allah is indeed too severe. May Janâb-i Haqq save all of us from punishment and have us among the servants who have attained rahmat (mercy), forgiveness and endless and boundless blessings. Now, let us try to make exegesis, or rather discovery of these verses for extensive discovery of each verse is necessary. So, we see here that the law of time is explained in these verses. Janâb-i Haqq created time and place for us. Allah is free from time and space.

Time Stamp: 15:04

Janâb-i Haqq created time and space, the years, months and days so that the times of the worships may be known. Allah has created this property, and sultanate. And rulership belongs only to Allah. This is why the very first duty of a Muslim is to know Allah, and Allah’s rulership well and live under the rulership and sovereignty of Allah. Therefore, Muslims ought to know the time of fast time of hajj, time of their ibadats (worship) muddat (time limitation) and iddah (period of waiting) the months, years, and every breath they take. The Muslims have to know the value of all these concepts. Now, the matter of war is addressed in two parts in the 190th and 193rd verses of Surah al-Baqarah. The first part is about permissibility and authorization. The second part contains decrees the situations where war and jihad (struggle) is necessary. This verse commands fighting. The moment war is necessary, it becomes an obligation upon the Muslims. Allah tells us to commence a full-scale war against them in the same exact way they fight you. What is more, in the 39th verse of Surah al-Hajj: “Permission to fight is given to believers who are being fought for they have been wronged.” War has many causes, and this is one of those causes. “And without a doubt, Allah is al-Qadir (most-Powerful) to aid them.” But of course, Janâb-i Haqq always helps Muslims in wars Allah is al-Qadir (most-Powerful) to give all types of help. Amanna wa saddaqna. Muslims should know that Allah is always with them in their just cause. They should never forget that. There are battles done due to duty to defend such as sariyyah (expeditions), outposts, and civil wars. Battle of Badr, Battle of Uhud, and Battle of the Trench are in this class. What is ordered first is to give advice without using force and to deal with the enemy gently. At first, Islam, and the truth (haqq) are bid to them. So, at first, the truth (haqq) is bid to them. The permission to fight is given after that. Then, to fight against those who turn away from the truth (haqq) is commanded. This happens gradually, as required by the politics. The majority of the verses are muhkam (decisive), not mansuh (abrogated). It is written in the previous Books that the Last Prophet is sent with jihad. What is referred by jihad here is to save the entire humanity from tyrants and to make the truth (haqq) predominant. That is, predominance of belief (iman) instead of disbelief (kufr) and justice instead of tyranny. That is, the dominance of the mercy upon all people, and the universe. This is why Prophet Muhammad (saw) is Prophet of Jihad. But we must understand the word, ‘jihad’ in the correct manner.

Time Stamp: 20:03

That is, Allah manifesting this rahmat (mercy) social justice, the commandments, the laws and this holy order to the entire humanity. Jihad is for the better good of the entire humanity. The humanity is fighting against diseases and microbes that bring misery upon them with medicines, vaccines etc. So, if a medicine, or a vaccine is imperative to cure diseases and fight microbes. Therefore, Islam is necessary in our case, and Islam is an utter truth. Islam abolished ignorance, aberration, and all that is wrong. Islam is establishing of prosperity and happiness for humanity which are divine commandments. As for aggressor Muslims, true Muslims have never been the aggressors. The fact that our Prophet is Jihad Prophet is written in the previous books. But they (Jews and Christians) hide this fact. They also hide why he performed jihad. The aggressors are the ones who distorted Torah and Bible deviating from the way of Musa (Moses) and Isa (Jesus). The aggressors are the mindset that declared war on Al-Quran Al-Karim and Prophet Muhammad. They are the aggressors, and transgressors. Study history, and see what the Crusaders have done. Then, have a look into Zionism and see the conspiracies and schemes they pulled. They still shed people’s blood. They are the transgressors, and wrong-doers. They did not allow anyone else into their groups, not until 50 years ago. Then, one day they allowed people into their groups but they started steering the humanity to a materialist and atheist direction. They are implementing a false system of education built to completely annihilate belief of Allah. The life-giving holy values of Islam are still kept away from the humanity. Moreover, the Imperialist and Zionist powers have placed Islam onto a target board as an enemy and they stand side by side against Islam. That can only bring loss to the humanity. That is the greatest evil act done against the humanity One cannot fight Allah. Islam is a reality (haqiqa). People make mistakes, which puts the blame on them. Yet, Islam cannot have errors, never had, never will. That is why, dearest friends! Islam had spread fast by literary, moral, and social ways. They even hid the fact that it has spread. Islam is not a religion that spread by force of arms. Islam spread by scholarly, literary, and moral ways. Islam spread rapidly due to the social justice it contained. And they hide these facts. So, what happened when they hid these facts? They are trying to deprive people and themselves of the ever-existing and infinite rahmat (mercy) of Allah. They are trying to deprive the humanity of the true life-giving values, and divine treasures. Islam is rahmat (mercy) of Allah that is manifested to the people at all times. It is a slander to Allah, Muhammad, Islam, and Muslims to say that it spread by force of arms.

Time Stamp: 25:02

Our Prophet said the following in a narration reported in Al-Nihaya. **reads the original text in Arabic** He said that Allah Ta’ala annihilates evil that cannot be annihilated by Quran, by sword. That is, in order to abolish evil and trouble and to remove transgressions, and make goodness predominant. In other words, this is for the better good of the humanity. Now, what is represented by Quran here is knowledge (ilm) wisdom (irfan), intellect (aql), conscience, and all values. You see, some people are against knowledge (ilm) intellect (aql), science, and all precious values and they may only understand one concept and if that is force and sword etc., you have to show that to them. So that you may save them, and the humanity from loss. Islam is the religion that wards off loss, but demands what is beneficial. Scientific (ilm-i), intellectual and scholarly proofs are for people who are fair who listen to reason, and who respect knowledge (ilm). Sword, and fighting is necessary for those who lack these traits. This is because if you leave the world to these people the innocent and good will lose the right to live for those tyrants will never give right to live to people. That would be the end of the haqq and haqiqa (truth). This is a necessity to prevent corruption. Those who do not fight in the way of Allah bring forth an even bigger fitnah (conflict). War must be in the way of Allah, and for the better good of the humanity. That is imperative. In other words, war is only for establishing the predominance of the truth (haqq). War should only be for the better good of the humanity. That is, to save people from despots and tyrants by making knowledge (ilm), wisdom (irfan) truth (haqq), and justice dominant. Otherwise all wars that are not in the way of Allah bring forth fitnah (conflict). The ones that prevent the truth (haqq), and good. This part is important, please listen carefully. The things that prevent the truth (haqq), and good must be removed. The obstacles that prevent goodness must be removed. The obstacles that stand in the way of haqq and haqiqa (truth) must be removed. Now, let us see what Allah said about this in the 17th and 18th verses of Surah al-Anfal. [8:17] “fa-lam taqtulūhum wa-lākinna llāha qatalahum wa-mā ramayta ʾidh ramayta wa-lākinna llāha ramā…” Moreover, Janâb-i Haqq said: [8:18] “dhālikum wa-ʾanna llāha mūhinu kaydi l-kāfirīn” So, what does Allah say here? You did not throw, when you threw. You did not kill them. You did not kill them, but Allah did. And you did not throw, when you threw, but Allah threw. And Allah announces again that Allah frustrates the plots and stratagems of the disbelievers (kāfirs), Dearest friends! There is no submission to tyranny. Janâb-i Haqq frustrates the stratagems of the disbelievers (kāfirs) via the hand of mujahideen. Allah is al-Qadir (All-Powerful). What is, more Allah said this in the 63th verse of Surah al-Anfal:

Time Stamp: 30:04

[8:63] “wa-ʾallafa bayna qulūbihim…” “It is Allah Ta’ala who unites their hearts.” [8:63] “law ʾanfaqta mā fī l-ʾarḍi jamīʿan” [8:63] “Had you spent all that is on earth.” [8:63] “mā ʾallafta bayna qulūbihim” [8:63] “You could not unite all their hearts.” “You could not have their hearts endear one another.” “You could not establish friendship and muhabbat (love).” [8:63] “wa-lākinna llāha ʾallafa baynahum” [8:63] “But Allah united their hearts.” Allah removed enmity and hatred. Islam is love, and belief (iman) from a to z. Islam is haqq and haqiqa (truth), knowledge (ilm) wisdom (irfan), mercy, and rahmat (mercy). When you present Islam to the humanity will see that people will endear one another and the hearts will unite via friendship and muhabbat (love). The holy values that shall establish the union of hearts love, and respect, are the values of Islam. Those who say that Islam only allows war in defense are tricky politicians who aim to take the right of self-defense as well. They want to disarm Muslims, and tie their hands. This is why they say such things, for that is their goal. They aim to trick Muslims. That is the politics, and tactics of the batil (wrong). They do not want Islam to ever be predominant in the world. They do not want to save the world from tyrants. They want the tyrants to exploit, burn, and destroy the world. They may do this knowingly, or unknowingly. It is not important whether they are aware of their actions of not. The mindset that is filled with all that is wrong (batil) is in need of salvation. The reasons behind that mindset is irrelevant. Islam is savior. The reason of disarmament is based on these two campaigns. They say, Islam is such a bad religion. You see, a group that consist of enemies of Islam a class of tyrants who wish to exploit the world the mindset who do not acknowledge the divine justice say that Islam is a bad religion for Islam commands armament. Let us see what others say. Some other politician say that Islam is such a good religion. These are both people with ulterior motives. Islam is such a good religion for it commands disarmament. Do you see the trick? He says that Islam commands disarmament. So, who are they? We have to be pay attention to them in the west and in the east no matter who they are. These people wish to deceive Muslims in both ways. And they want to mislead Muslims via these tricky politics. The farasat (discernment) of a Muslim which is a light that shines through his chest has to know what the motives of these two tricky politicians. The Muslim has to know for a fact that they want to tie the hands of the Muslims. You have to discover their intentions via the light of farasat (discernment) in you while they carry on with their politics. And also, you have to among the ranks of the truth (haqq). Now, astaizu billah: Let us see what Allah said in the 64th verse of Surah al-Anfal: [8:64] “yā-ʾayyuhā n-nabiyyu ḥasbuka llāhu wa-mani ttabaʿaka mina l-muʾminīn”

Time Stamp: 35:02

So, what does Janâb-i Haqq say here? “O, the glorious Prophet! O, the sultan of the Prophets, Muhammad (saw)! O, rasul-i kibriyā (the grand messenger), Muhammad Mustafa! Allah is sufficient for you and the believers (mu’mins) who follow you. Allah Ta’ala is sufficient for you, and them. The believers (mu’mins) make their contribution to the peace and prosperity of the humanity in the most powerful manner when they are united thus achieving a power that is a deterrent in the eyes of tyranny. Muslims ought to have the utmost deterrent power at all times. However, the armament that belong to Muslims cannot ever be used for evil purposes. Allah does not give permission for that. The armament in the hands of the Muslims is by all accounts kept as a deterrent against the tyrants which is for the good of Muslims. We see that some Muslim authors also support the idea of disarmament. This is important, we have authors and drawers who do that, they are Muslims. However, they are deceived people. They think the tricky political moves of others are true. What is more, they did not want to understand Islam. But these are Muslim authors and drawers, this part is important. Muslim authors should first understand Islam properly. They should know that Islam is the salvation of the humanity and that it did not come to be a prisoner of all wrong (batil) things. Islam came to annihilate wrong (batil), and establish the dominance of truth (haqq). Islam commands jihad (struggle) for the better good of the humanity until fitnah (conflict) is removed and until the religion is only for Allah. Offensive warfare is permitted, but unjust offense is not. This part is important, so please read carefully. Offensive warfare is permitted, but unjust offense is not. The wars started by transgressors or tyrants are not permissible, warfare should only be made in the way of Allah. Wars of the tyrants are not permissible. Muslims should not fight in their wars. War should only be made in the way of Allah. That is, for the better good of the humanity and in order to establish the peace  tranquility, and justice in the world. That is to topple down tyranny and wrong (batil) restoring the dominance of the truth (haqq). Islam was sent for the salvation of the entire humanity. As for warfare, it is done in the way of Allah, for the better good of the humanity. That is to make i’la-yi kelimetullah (upholding Allah’s name) and Allah’s kalam (utterance) prevail. That is a right of Allah, and a duty of Muslims. That is a commandment in Islam, and a duty of Muslims. The predominance of i’la-yi kelimetullah (upholding Allah’s name) is a right of Allah. Do you think you can forbid that in the property of Allah? So, you say you want to remove i’la-yi kelimetullah (upholding Allah’s name) and make polytheism (shirk) dominant. Neither Allah will allow that, nor the Muslims nor those who are mindful and just. Both spirituality and armament are important in Islam. Please, listen to this part carefully. In Islam, spirituality, scholarship (ilm), and knowledge (irfan) are important. On the other hand, armament is also important. So, why is armament important? That is for those who do not understand the concepts of scholarship (ilm), truth (haqq), and justice.

Time Stamp: 40:04

There are tyrants who cannot comprehend any concept but cruelty against the truth (haqq). There are many tyrants and despots who do not understand so having weaponry is a must against them. That is a must. That is why Muslims must have a powerful national defense. Muslims must have a powerful army in air, land, and sea. That army is for the safety of the humanity, and a guard. You see, that is the peace of the belief (iman) in the hearts, and its safety. Peace in family, neighborhood, the city, and the state. And the peace in the world. Islam starts this in the hearts first, for peace and safety must be ensured in the hearts and the souls first. It has to settle into them first. This is the starting point of Islam. The center of this world is the hearts of the people. If you have belief (iman), peace brotherhood, love, and justice in your heart then it will pour out from your heart and reflect to the outer world. Thus, peace in the spiritual world (‚alam al anfus) is the utmost form of peace that is also the peace in the physical world (‚alam al afaq). Islam itself is peace. As for weaponry, it is a must-to-have in order to sustain peace. Now, in the 191st verse of Surah al-Baqarah Janâb-i Haqq explains these truths to us. Janâb-i Haqq announces us many invaluable life-giving commandments in the 89th verse of Surah al-Nisa. „The hypocrites (munafiqs) accept you as equals only if you become disbelievers (kāfirs).“ Beware! „Do not be friends with them.“ „And if they turn away, kill them where you find them.“ Now, dearest friends! If a tyrant tells you that in order to have equal rights you have to become a transgressor like him or that you have to be a disbeliever (kafir) like him in order to have equality or that you have to be a fāsiq, faajir, munafiq, munkir and a musrik like them in order to have equality. If they are saying that, then Muslims will choose to die rather than accepting this. A Muslim is a person of haqq and haqiqa (truth). This is why you are able to see all these truths clearly when you read the 123rd and 36th verses of Surah al-Tawbah. “Fight them altogether, and let the enemy find firmness in you.” If you go soft on transgressors, who are the enemies of the humanity the truth (haqq), and justice then your softness will become their funds. Your softness shall be a means for victory for them. Janâb-i Haqq tells us to be firm in the face of the tyrants. That is because if someone wants to abolish the truth (haqq) you cannot go soft on them. You cannot go soft on transgressors. You may act kindly, softly, and with all your love that encompass all worlds which is sweeter and softer than honey, against the humanity. However, against the enemies of the truth (haqq) and humanity you must demonstrate your power. Islam develops people, and gives them a character that is for the better good of the humanity. Valor, heroism, and courage are all traits given to people by Islam. Have a look into the history of the world and have a look at this time, and prepare for the future.

Time Stamp: 45:06

We see that many heroes and states people were raised in order to establish dominance of the truth (haqq) and justice on earth. It is the Islamic School (Ecole) that raised them. The real staff should be raised by Islam. Islam is a school of divine. Islam is a divine order, and establishment. One attains his true personality in Islam. So, when the meanings of all verses in Al-Quran Al-Karim settle in your inner world and when the world is governed by a heroic a mujahid, and a believing staff then the entire world will be able to be at ease and rest. Janâb-i Haqq says, “wa-l-yajidū fīkum ghilẓatan to you,”. So, let us assume that a doctor who is operating has felt sorry for the cancerous cells while cleaning the tissue and left them in the body in that case the doctor would be looking the other way causing the patient to die. He has to scrape off the cancerous cells and remove them .in order to clean the tissue so that the patient may be saved. You see, the maslahat (advice) of Islam is to bid what is beneficial, and ward of what is harmful. This is the maslahat (advice) of Islam. That is for the better good of the humanity, and to settle peace and justice. Then, Allah sent down a peace, serenity, and courage upon the Messenger (Rasul), and the believers (mu’mins). This is what Janâb-i Haqq says here as well. Let us see the verses of the Surah al-Tawbah. That is what the 36th, 40th, and 123rd verses say. Janâb-i Haqq says: [9:26] “wa-ʾanzala junūdan lam tarawhā” “Allah sent down armies you did not see, and punished the disbelievers (kāfirs). That is the punishment of the deniers,” says Allah. Except the following, you cannot ever abuse the following: Women, you cannot ever touch women and children no matter how righteous you are in the battle. It does not matter which war you are in; you cannot touch women and children. Islam does not allow that. You cannot touch the old. You cannot touch priests, places of worship monasteries, churches, or other temples. This is because the point of the religion (din) of Islam is to remove violence. So, when you abolish tyranny and tyrants the people will need to accept the truth voluntarily, by their own will, and freely. Belief (iman) is not acceptable (makbul) unless a person accepts voluntarily. In Islam, forcing people to belief (iman) is not wanted. Use of force is not valid in Islam. Even if you make someone declare faith by force that would not be real belief (iman). Belief (iman) is accepting the principles of Almighty Allah with pleasure, and wholeheartedly. Belief (iman) occurs with the affirmation (tasdiq) of your heart and avowal of the tongue. You cannot force a person to faith (iman), religion, or worship. What is more, do not do müsle, do not cut anyone’s organs or limbs. Do not cut off anyone’s ear or nose. These are forbidden in war. Do not lay waste to trees, animals, or areas that are built. Islam does not allow killing animals, or trees. And do not destroy places that have been built.

The lexical meaning of the word fitnah is putting something on fire. However, the following are its meanings in the religious context. Fitnah means polytheism (shirk), disbelief (kufr), abjuration violating divine prohibitions to disturb the public peace, and to revoke citizenship. These are fitnah by one by, and similar things are also fitnah. The fitnah that makes you wish you were dead is worse than murder. Think of such a fitnah that makes a person wish he was dead. If he says that, then there is a severe fitnah there. That fitnah must be dealt with, and abolished. Islam is the divine authority that assigns duty to abolish fitnah. Islam is the savior as long as the humanity groans under fitnah. Islam is the savior of the humanity. It does not matter where fitnah occurs. No matter where fitnah occurs, Islam is there for the innocent, the victims, and the folk. Almighty Allah says that fitnah is worse than murder. Fitnah is much more severe than murder, and it is much worse. Fitnah is the embodiment of evil. As for warfare, it is a lesser evil next to fitnah. To be a ghazi, or a martyr depending on the situation is the way of Muslims. A Muslim has to be a man of haqq and haqiqa (truth). To be a ghazi, or a martyr. Moreover, in the 154th verse of Surah al-Baqarah, Janâb-i Haqq said: “Do not say, ‘They are dead,’ for those who are killed in the way of Allah. Rather, they are alive. You are not aware. This is beyond your mental capacity, you cannot know,” says Allah. Dearest friends! Let me remind you of the meaning of fitnah, so that it may never forget. Fitnah is polytheism (shirk), disbelief (kufr), abjuration violation of divine laws, disturbance of the public peace to be driven out of homeland, and similar things are fitnah one by one. A fitnah that makes you wish for death is worse than death itself. You see, the things that makes you wish for death is fitnah which is more severe than death itself. Fitnah is evil. As for warfare, it is a lesser evil next to fitnah. That is why, Muslims may be ghazi, or martyr when they must. May Janâb-i Haqq give guidance (hidayat) to the entire world to establish the brotherhood, justice, and social peace of Islam. Islam is not an order of Arabs or Turks; it is the order established by Allah. Islam is the manifestation of Allah to the entire humanity via the rahmat (mercy) of Allah. Islam is not a claim brought forth by a certain group. This is not a human-made system or something either. Islam does not consist of human-made laws, rather, it is completely divine. That is why no one should interfere with the values of the Muslims. The values of Islam, and Muslims are divine and holy values. These are life-giving values. These values give life to the entire universe, and all hearts and souls.

No one should ever touch these divine values, for these are inviolable. These are divine values of the humanity. Allah has manifested to the world of men with these values, rahmat (mercy), and eternal bliss. It is the greatest evil act against the humanity to violate or annihilate these values. We do not let anyone speak ill about Isa (Jesus) and Musa (Moses), but why? We do not, because they are beloved servants, and Messengers of Allah. They are in the Islamic creed, and this goes for all Prophets. You see, all divine books are like streams and seas that mix into the ocean that we call Islam. Allah has renewed the ones that should be renewed, and abrogated (naskh) some and removed some of them altogether. Allah left the decrees that shall stay for eternity, and renewed some. It is Allah Ta’ala who has done that. The sharīʿah (law) is only renewed by Sharī (Law-Maker), who is Allah Ta’ala. The servants cannot do that. What is more, it is Allah who commissioned Ibrahim (Abraham) for Islam. It is also Allah who assigned Musa (Moses) and Isa (Jesus) for Islam. Then, Allah assigned Prophet Muhammad (saw) after them. If that is the case, acknowledging one of them but refusing the others is a rebelling against Allah. That is disbelief (kufr), polytheism (shirk), and hypocrisy (nifaq). This will cause you to disbelieve the Prophet you used to believe. That Prophet you believe in has already believed in the other Prophets Prophet Muhammad, and Al-Quran Al-Karim. That is why he told you, so that you may believe. Duality is not necessary in the world. The world has to be one and united. This is because Allah is One. It is Allah who created the entire mankind and it is Allah who sent the religion to mankind. That is why there is unity and brotherhood in Islam. There is tawhid iman (monotheistic belief), that united people in monotheism. This is the mindset that do not accept Allah and the truth and reality Allah brought forth. These people are the cause of evil and segregation on earth it is they who terrorize the world. This is because they do not accept the haqq and haqiqa (truth). They do not accept the universal spirit of Islam. Islam is a universal spirit that encompass the entire universe. And it is a wide-spread religion that encompass all words incorporating the entire universe. This is why Muhammad is the Prophet of Mercy (Rahmat) sent for all worlds. [21:107] “wa-mā ʾarsalnāka ʾillā raḥmatan li-l-ʿālamīn” That is Allah’s own kalam (utterance), and commandment. “We did not send you upon the worlds but as rahmat (mercy).” “O, glorious Muhammad!,” says Janâb-i Haqq. Dearest and most venerable friends! Let us see what Janâb-i Haqq says while conveying the life-giving and enlightening commandments. There is no abrogation (naskh) but allocation (tahsis) in the verses regarding jihad (struggle). We see that this is how our valuable âlims (Islamic scholars) have understood, discovered, and interpreted. Moreover, in Bukhari Shareef, it is reported that our beloved Prophet said: O, people! The day Allah created the heavens and earth Allah rendered Makkah al-Mukarramah sacred. Allah made Makkah al-Mukarramah sacred until Qiyamah. And he said that fighting was made halal (lawful) for him for an hour of a day. In other words, he was ordered to fight.

That would not have happened if it they did not have to. However, Makkah al-Mukarramah needed to be saved from the hands of transgressors idolaters, and polytheists (musrikun). “Do not take your fathers and brothers who prefer disbelief (kufr) over belief (iman) as friends.” Let us announce the 23rd and 24th verses of Surah al-Tawbah so that the ears of the world may ring. And may the world understand this kalam (utterance) of Allah in Al-Quran Al-Karim. What did Allah say here? “Do not take your fathers and brothers who prefer disbelief (kufr) over belief (iman) as friends.” That is, if you have a father who has chosen disbelief (kufr) by abandoning belief (iman). Also, if you have a brother who preferred disbelief (kufr) over belief (iman). Do not take them as allies. “Those who take them as allies are wrongdoers,” says Allah . In other words, disbelief (kufr) has no friends. You cannot make a friend out of disbelief (kufr) either. That may be your father, brother, or someone else. There cannot be allies out of disbelief (kufr) polytheism (shirk), and hypocrisy (nifaq). However, we shall try to save people from these altogether. We only announce, and guidance (hidayat) comes from Allah. We cannot force anyone. We only try to bid (tabligh) your heart and your ear the life-giving values that are haqq and haqiqa (truth) in the best possible way. Guidance (hidayat) is only from Allah. “If your fathers, sons, brothers wives, relatives, and kinfolk wealth, trade, and properties are dearer to you than Allah, the Messenger (Rasul) of Allah and jihad (struggle) in the way of Allah then wait until Allah brings about the Command. And the disasters that shall visit you,” says Allah. There is a veiled threat, and an ultimatum here. Besides, nothing can be dearer to one than Allah and the Rasul. No one can be dearer to one than the jihad (struggle) in the way of Allah Not even fathers, sons, brothers, sisters, spouses, relatives, kinfolk, wealth trade, or properties. None of these can be dearer to one than Allah, the Rasul and the jihad (struggle) in the way of Allah. Janâb-i Haqq says that if they are dearer then wait for the command of Allah in other words, wait for the disasters that shall visit you. Thus, Allah gives an ultimatum here. It is acceptable (makbul) to have people of the book (ahlul kitab) reside by tax. This had been implemented in the history. Islam has set the people of the book (ahlul kitab) free in their own beliefs. It is just that, submission by tax is considered acceptable (makbul) because Muslims are responsible for their protection as well. That is because Muslims are also responsible for their protection. Throughout history, Muslims have protected the people of the book (ahlul kitab) who lived under their sovereignty the same way they protected their own lives. As for polytheists (mushrikun) of Arabs they either choose Islam or to be slain by sword. This is because they did neither renounced their enmity towards Islam, nor their aggression. In the end, they also accepted the dominance of Islam just like the people of the book (ahlul kitab) and they started paying tax. This is because there were also other people besides the people of the book (ahlul kitab).

They also have lived under the rulership of Islam, in safety, just like the others. This is because Islam appropriates and protects the people who live under its rulership. So, if someone asks, “What is the (valid) religion (din) in the presence of Allah?” Those who know, know, but if there are people who had not heard Allah answers them in the following verse. [3:19] “ʾinna d-dīna ʿinda llāhi l-ʾislām” “The religion with Allah is only Islam.” Kashf-ul-Hafā: Our Prophet (saw) said: “I was ordered to fight these people until the moment they say, ‘there is no God but Allah’,” They shall save their lives from me when they say it. As for the others, ahlul kitab, they may shield their blood via jizya (tax). No one except Muslims may reside in Mecca. And when they renounce from disbelief (kufr) fighting is not allowed against no one except wrongdoers. The men of Pharaoh said they will follow the magicians if they prevail. That is present in the 40th verse of Surah al-Shuʿarāʾ. The men of Pharaoh said, “We may follow the magicians if they prevail,”. Just a word of advice for Muslims: Muslims cannot ever side with wrongdoers, tyrants, and pharaoh. Muslims are obliged to side with Allah. Muslims cannot live under the command of their leaders (who do not worship Allah) either. Each leader must bow down to Allah and be under the command of Allah. Those who are under the sultanate of leaders who are not under the command of Allah accept the leaders as Rabb (God). **original text in Arabic** “The one who started an evil first is crueler.” This is why, it does not matter where evil and loss are Islam always takes its precautions for loss and takes up its position. **original text of the hadith in Arabic** “It is not permissible (jaiz) to retaliate to a harmful act with another harmful act. So, it is clear that Islam orders preventing loss. You cannot retaliate to a loss by causing another loss. This proves that Islam is nothing but pure benefit, and good. As a general law, 2:194 says, “wa-l-ḥurumātu qiṣāṣun,” which means “all sanctities require retribution,”. Moreover, “Love of money, pleasure, and relaxation pose a danger of captivity,”. And the remedy for this is to be prepared for warfare at all times. Money, pleasure, and love of relaxation may become an illness that can even lead to captivity. That may pose danger of captivity. A desire for freedom and endeavor to establish the predominance of holy values are erased in people who get used to be captives. This is why we say that a desire for relaxation, money, and pleasure will pose a danger of captivity. The remedy for this is being ready for war. That is, as a guarantor of rights and freedoms. That is, in order to protect the rights and freedoms on earth. Muslims must always receive military education and they must be prepared as a deterrent and as a powerful force at all times.

That is why a really disincentive and powerful Islamic army must stand as a deterrent at all times. In the Umayyad period, the Islamic army under the command of Abdurrahman ibn al-Walid set out to conquer (gazā) Constantinople. Ebu Eyyub el-Ensârî was among the soldiers. Radeyallāhu ′anhum wa ardahum ajmain. The Greeks had leaned their back on the walls of the city. A Muslim started attacking, and a community had said that he was throwing himself into danger. They said: “Leave him, leave him, for he says, ‘la ilahe illallah’”. Ebu Eyyub el-Ensârî (radeyallāhu ′anhum wa ardahum ajmain) said: “O, Muslims!” And then, he recited the 195th verse of Surah al-Baqarah. He said, “The real danger is to abandon jihad (struggle) and to be busy with worldly endeavors.” He said that, and started jihad, and he became a martyr. He is buried in Istanbul at this time. This narration is present in Kutub al-Sittah. The real danger is to abandoning hope from mercy, to waste, and not spend in the way of Allah. The real danger is throwing yourself into danger, into battle without taking precautions and being ready. That is why Muslims have to be at the ready for way. The national defense, equipment and military vehicles must be kept at the ready. That is an absolute commandment of Allah. The reason may be special but the decree is general. Now, Imam al-Muhammad (r.a.) the third of the Hanafite mujtahids. In Siyeri’l-Kebîr, it is mentioned that he said: “A person may launch an attack on one thousand people by having hope of making an impact, hope of salvation and hope of having an effect yet otherwise, that is an abominable (makruh) act,”. Let us read this again, for he is a mujtahid âlim (Islamic scholar). In Siyeri’l-Kebîr, it is mentioned that he said that a person alone may attack one thousand people by hoping salvation hoping to have an effect, or break through. Yet otherwise, that is an abominable (makruh) act. It is said that such an action is permissible (jaiz) also if one hopes to encourage his own, or serve as a model. They said such an attack is also permissible (jaiz) for the aforementioned goals. That is the salvation of the humanity. War is not a goal, but only a means for establishing peace and eliminating tyranny. The essential goal in Islam is the peace and serenity of the humanity. The essential goal in Islam is the peace and serenity of the hearts and souls. And that is possible when the truth (haqq), the reality (haqiqa) and the Islamic belief (iman) is established in the hearts. That is, the establishing of Allah’s rulership on earth. This is done with the hand of the servants. The successorship (hilafat) on earth is a duty given to all people. [9:111] “ʾinna llāha shtarā mina l-muʾminīna ʾanfusahum wa-ʾamwālahum bi-ʾanna lahumu l-janna” Let us see what Janâb-i Haqq said in the 111st verse of Surah al-Tawbah: “Allah has bought from the believers (mu’mins) their wealth and their lives in exchange for Janna (Paradise). They fight, they kill an get killed. This is, indeed, a true promise of Allah.

So rejoice, for this is a great gain.” What is more, what does Allah say in the 169th verse of Surah Ali ‚Imran? “Those who were slain in the way of Allah are alive the martyrs do not die,” says Allah. May Janâb-i Haqq destine us to see Islam and peace settle firmly in the world and in the entire humanity for Islam aims peace for the entire mankind and Islam consist completely of peace rahmat (mercy), compassion, and true justice.
