Al-Quran Al-Kareem – Tafsir (Exegesis) Lesson 249
I seek shelter in Allah from the rejected Satan. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The Tafsir of Elmalılı was written, those who do not know the Quran at all should at least open even this tafsir and read it. See, they don’t read, understand, or expound this tafsir in the mosques, but the Grand Assembly assigned this as a duty and made a tafsir written, it is one of the best written tafsirs of the era. We have many valuable tafsirs, but this tafsir is among the best of this era. Do you know what is said in the agreement? It is written that a tafsir is to be written according to a set of rules. The rules that have been written there are also excellent rules. There is no need to say this, these are well-known things, but some people even play with this tafsir. They distort its original in the name of simplification. They wanted to change its original text and simplify it to make it more understandable, but what happened is there is weakness in a part of the translation they produce. They lightened the meanings of words, but the words used in its original text have more depth in terms of meaning. They wanted to simplify it in order to make it a little more understandable, but they changed the words that carried lots of meaning with lighter words, thus it is now much easier to distort the meaning. That is why what I suggest is for you to read the original text of that tafsir (exegesis). Besides, you cannot understand Al-Quran Al-Karim fully in translations. It is almost mandatory to write a new tafsir (exegesis) with narrations (riwayat) and comprehension (dirayat) with views of our Prophet on the Quran, along with the views and scholarly understanding of companions (sahabah), our authors (mufassirs), and all of our mujtahids and the modern understanding of knowledge. It is for the better good of all humanity if a modern tafsir (exegesis) is written by taking the views of all our scholarly people, all authors (mufassirs), foremost our Prophet and his companions (sahabah) along with our mujtahids and hadith scholars (muhaddiths). This is an obligation upon Muslims. Our books on jurisprudence (fiqh) are excellent, so are all madhabs which are schools of thought. However, there is one imperfect thing, and that is the knowledge possessed by those who did not transfer those perfect things to this day. You need to transfer those perfect things to the modern era, because they have made perfect ijtihads based on the conditions of that era, and they have abided by fundamental sources. As for you, you should abide by the fundamental sources, and transfer those truths to this day in a way that they suit today’s conditions. This way, you will constitute modern ijtihads by gathering all mujtahids. No matter which scholarly branch it is, an unlearned person should learn from the learned person. An unenlightened person needs to learn things from those who know. If you give the chair of mujtahids to unlearned people, then you would not be doing any favours to Islam or humanity.
That is why, dearest friends, there is an innate covenant between the servant (qul) and the Rabb (Lord).

This covenant has been made in the realm of spirits (bazm-e-alam), in qālū balā. A covenant between the servants (qul) and Allah, is a promise given to Allah with an oath. That said, every time you recite Al-Fatihah, and every time you say, “lā ʾilāha ʾillallāh,” you mean you are aware of your word and you are ready to fulfil all divine commands that Islam has offered to you. That is, to obey Allah and not revolt against Allah. That is the basics of the covenant. There is an innate covenant between the servant (qul) and Allah. See the 5th verse of Surah al-Fatihah [1].
Hodja recites the 5th verse of Surah al-Fatihah [5].
Just take a look! There is an agreement here. The verse says, “We only worship You.” See, “We only worship You.”
O Allah! Raḥmān (All-Beneficent) and Raḥīm (All-Merciful), Master of the Day of Retribution, the All-Able Ruler. Rabb (Lord) of all the worlds. All thanks and praises belong to Allah, the Rabb (Lord) of all the worlds. Allah is Raḥmān (All-Beneficent) and Raḥīm (All-Merciful), the unique Master of the Day of Retribution, and the All-Able ruler.
“We only worship You, and we only turn to you for help.” As you see, rahmat (mercy/blessing) comes foremost. First thing you should do is to acknowledge and know your Rabb (Lord), do your duty, and then ask for help. And then good things and bounties will come, and as you see the contents of Surah al-Fatihah [1] summarize and encompass the affluence of the Quran.
That said, there is an innate covenant between the servants (qul) and the Rabb (Lord), and every time a Muslim recites Surah al-Fatihah, it is revealed whether he abides by the covenant or not. It is revealed whether he fulfils the promise he made, or not. It is revealed whether he protects the entrustment, or betrays it. People should check the answers. Now, a believer’s first obligation is to acknowledge Allah as One, and get to know Allah by attributes (sifāt) and names (asmāʾ), by the book, and by cosmological and written signs or verses.
See the 42nd verse of Surah al-Maryam [19]! Says, “Father, why do you worship idols?” Who says it? Well, Ibrahim (a.s.) asked his father why he is worshipping idols. He said, “You make them with your hand and then worship.” One should save himself from polytheism (shirk) at first, because Allah has no partners, custodians, nor equals. Allah has no comparables or examples because there is nothing like Allah. That is the first obligation of a servant (qul).
See the 58th and 68th verses of Surah al-Anbiya [21]. Ibrahim (a.s.) broke the idols into pieces, and left the biggest one alone. He then rested his axe on his shoulder. He started a discussion and struggle against the ruler and all deniers. What did they say? They said, “Burn him.” The idolaters of that era said, “Burn Ibrahim (Abraham).” As for today, those who wish to punish true Muslims in the east or the west are modern Nimrods. Whoever disacknowledges Al-Quran Al-Karim and Allah; and divinizes someone else and placed him in Allah’s place, or placed the Book with someone else, and whoever attacks Allah, Islam, and the Quran is a modern Nimrod.

They are like the Nimrods of that era who said, “Burn Ibrahim (Abraham),” and whoever they are, today’s modern Nimrods are the Nimrods of this period. What did they to Ibrahim (Abraham) when he broke the idols? They told people to burn him and help their gods. See, they help their gods, this is straight-up idolatry. They protect their god and their idols because they divinize it. There are rascals who divinize everything alive or inanimate, with or without a soul, whether he is a hero or not, whether he is good or not; they even divinize most famous and honest people. Those good people did not want anyone to divinize themselves.
Did Isa (Jesus) say, “Divinize me,”? He did not. Did others say anything like that? They did not. So, who divinized them? Those who slander Allah, slander Isa (Jesus), and slander those valuable figures have divinized them. Did idols say they want to be worshipped? Yet there were Pharaohs who made people worship themselves, and there was Nimrod, and there are modern Nimrods. See, every era had its Nimrods. Every era had its Pharaohs, but there has always been people like Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), and Isa (Jesus) who objected to them. People like Noah (Nuh) stood against them, and then Hz. Muhammad came and established world dominance. He abolished all idols, and brought fowrth monotheistic faith (tawhid iman).
There is a truth out there, and there is a reality brighter than the sun. So, do not run into darkness. Do not worship anyone but Allah, and don’t say you haven’t heard! Tomorrow, Azrail (a.s.) will take you to grave, and then bring you to the presence of Allah. If you cannot already see that happening, then you are not only non-contemporary, but also you have never left the depths of Jahannam (Hell), get out of there right now. People do not go to Jahannam (Hell) in the next world unless they fall into the wrong ideas which are hell in the world.
Disbelief (kufr) is the hell of this world. Polytheism (shirk) is the hell of this world. Transgression (zulm) and corruption (nifaq) are hells of this world. Those who fall into these will surely fall into Jahannam (Hell) in the next life. Islam came to save people from these. Hear ye! Hear ye! Announce these to the entire world. Announce the word of Al-Quran Al-Karim to the entire world if you are able to. If you are able to understand these truths, then announce them to everyone from 7 to 70, and tell these to your generation, announce these. Listen, and make others listen. Such a pity; may everyone be saved, may everyone enter Janna (Paradise), may everyone worship Allah, and not worship anyone else.
That said, idolaters said, “Burn Ibrahim (Abraham) and help your gods.” See the 58th and 68th verses of Surah al-Anbiya [21], and there are many other verses as well. For example, the 102nd verse of Surah al-Saffat [37] is about the sacrifice of Ishmael. See, Ibrahim (a.s.) was tested with his goods, and he passed the test. Ibrahim (a.s.) was also tested with his son, and he passed the test. He was tested with his life, and he still passed the test. Ibrahim (a.s.), who was ready to sacrifice his goods, his son, and his life, had objected to his father, his people, the ruler, and all deniers; he defended the Real (al-Haqq). He discussed these matters at full length, and he was prepared to burn in fire, but he did not make any concessions from truth.

O Muslims! O faithful people! O servants (qul) of Allah! O those who only worship Allah! Do not make concessions from the truth even if you are torn to pieces. Islam is friendly towards the world. Those who are hostile to Islam are a thorn in mankind’s flesh. Let me repeat, Islam and Muslims are friendly towards the whole world. However, some are not friendly towards them. We are their friends, and we preach the Real (al-Haqq) to them, and we call them to Janna (Paradise). We want to be happy, and we want them to be happy as well as ourselves, and that is Islam. The religion of Islam does not focus on its own freedom and neglect everyone else. Muslims certainly want everyone to be as happy as they are, and that is a principle of Hz. Muhammad. That is a principle of Islam and Al-Quran Al-Karim. Pay attention! Ibrahim (a.s.) has proven his servitude and love by dedicating his heart to wisdom (irfan), his tongue to witnessing, his body to fire, his son to sacrifice, and his wealth to Allah’s way. As for Hz. Muhammad, he said, “Even if you put the Sun in my right hand, and Moon in my left hand, and you turned the world into a jewel and place it in my hands, and make me the king of the world, I will still make no concessions from the Truth.” Prophet Muhammad, Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus) and all other glorious Prophets… Well, all Prophets are glorious. They are distinguished servants (qul) who are under the command of the Real (al-Haqq). They are unpaired heroes who stood against wrongdoing (zulm). See, Ibrahim (a.s.) was against Nimrod. The truth or haqiqa that Prophet Muhammad brought is in the face of the universe and all eras, and it will continue to exist until the Hour. Islam is the true friend of humanity. Therefore, let me repeat so that you may not forget! Ibrahim (a.s.) has climbed to the summit of servitude and love by dedicating his heart to wisdom (irfan), his tongue to witnessing, his body to fire, his son to sacrifice, and his wealth to Allah’s way; thus, he has proven his servitude and love. That is, Ibrahim (a.s.). As for other Prophets, their leader or imam is Prophet Muhammad (asw). That is why dearest friends, there are Prophets who said, “My Rabb (Lord), expand my breast for me,” such as Musa (Moses).
Hodja recites the 83rd and 84th verses of Surah ash-Shu’ara [26].
These are prayers of Ibrahim (a.s.).
He said, “My Allah! Grant for me judgment. Join me with the righteous.” See, he says, “Unite me with the righteous.” See, he is one the Prophets who are at the summit of righteousness. He says, “Grant for me a mention of honor among the later generations.” Thus, he says, “Introduce me to all later nations who shall come to be until the Hour as a righteous person, and let the universe confess that I am an honest Prophet.”

Dear friends,
We are looking at the 84th to 88th verses of Surah al-Shu’ara, and now the hodja is reciting the 85th verse which says, “and make me one of the heirs to the paradise of bliss.” That is, when you do what is required as a servant (qul), then Janâb-i Haqq will manifest favour, and give you Janna (Paradise). See, these are the verses of Al-Quran Al-Karim. They have earned these favours (lutf), and Janâb-i Haqq is announcing them here. These glorious Prophets have left a great reputation among people of the world until the Hour. Continues forever until the Hour with this fame and glory, excellence and honour. What happened then? Their fame is left, and they earned Janna (Paradise). Who? The Prophets. What did Hz. Ibrahim do? He overcame hardships, passed trials, and his fame is left, but he earned Janna (Paradise).
That is why in the recitation of qiraat of Yaqoub, the word Ra (ر) is dhamma. Azer is the father of Ibrahim (a.s.). In history, the father of Ibrahim (a.s.) is Terah which is Hebrew. That is, in history, his father’s name is in Hebrew and it is Terah. Sheikh al-Harim, old. Azer. It is also said that this is an idol’s name. Researcher exegetes say Azer is the father of Ibrahim (Abraham). Some say his father is Terah, and his uncle is Azer. The view of the Shia is that they claim an uncle is also called a father. That is the view of Shia.
Taghuts, or false gods call you to follow themselves, but those who are in the right path call you to follow the right path. Think about he who accepts wrong as right! Now, he is in the way of a false god (taghut), and he calls people to the way of false god (taghut), which is the wrongest way. But he thinks that way if the right way. As for Islam, the Quan, and Muhammad, they all call to Allah. They call to what is truest. They call to what is best, unique, and well. Islam calls to an eternally blissful life, and to its felicity and reality. If a person’s heart has gravitated towards the wrongs (batil), then he will only hear the voice of the wrongs (batil). If his heart has gravitated towards the Real (al-Haqq), then he only hears the voice of the Real (al-Haqq). What can we do? Everyone chooses themselves. They are free in their choice. However, we can still do something. We can know the truth and submit to Allah. We can ask Allah for guidance (hidayat). We can ask Allah for success (tawfiq). We can ask Allah for companionship (rafaqat). We can ask Allah for aid, and not stay idle. Do not obey parents if they promote polytheism (shirk), but be good to them in worldly affairs.

However, you should never obey if a family member such as a father, a brother, or a relative if they call you to polytheism (shirk), disbelief (kufr), or a way that is other than Islam! Do not try to justify it because he or she is your father, brother, son, wife, a close relative, leader, or pioneer. Do not go, nor obey if someone is calling you to something wrong. One does not obey people if they revolt against Allah. Al-Quran Al-Karim protects the past, it is the sentinel of past. It protects Isa (Jesus). It protects Musa (Moses). It protects Ibrahim (Abraham). It protects figures like Sulaiman (Solomon), Dawood, Zechariah, Yahyā (John), Ibrahim (Abraham), Ismail (Ishmael), Ishak (Isaac), Yūsuf (Joseph), along with all holy values of the past. It takes divine books under preservation. It rejects wrong books. It rejects all that is wrong, and shields what is right and keeps it under protection. That is why Al-Quran Al-Karim is the guardian (muhaymin) and the acknowledger of truth (musadiq).
Ibn Jarir Azer is from town of Kusa which is near Kufah. Abū Ḥayyān said he was a carpenter, a soothsayer, an astrologer, an engineer, and a man of Nimrod. That is, he said these things about Azer, father of Ibrahim (Abraham). It is said that he is from among people of Harran. There are two towns of Kusa in Iraq. There is Kûsettarik and Kûserrüba which are in Babel. There is also one in Mecca. It is said that Ibrahim (a.s.) was thrown into fire in Babel. Yāqūt ibn-‚Abdullāh has written that in Mu’jam al-Buldān. The source of these narrations is also Mu’jam al-Buldān. Shows the grandeur and signs of rulership and sultanate, and a sign of grandness of endless and boundless godly omnipotence (qudrah) that rules all the worlds. Heavens and the earth has shown his hometown to Ibrahim (a.s.) as well.
We know Prophet Muhammad has been in the 7th layer of the heavens, and he has went beyond that and the Sidrat. However, Ibrahim (a.s.) has also ascended up to the 7th layer. Each and every Prophet has his own high degree. The degree of Ibrahim (a.s.) is the 7th layer of heavens, and Janâb-i Haqq best knows what is true. That is why Janâb-i Haqq shows the infinite grandeur or a’zamat and sovereignty to Ibrahim. Allah shows the sultanate, and the endless and boundless godly omnipotence (qudrah) which rules all the worlds. Also, showed him his hometown in the skies. Allah shows these to whomever Allah wills; so, what is he? He is Khaleelullah. Musa (Moses) is Kalimullah. Isa (Jesus) is Samiullah. Therefore, every Prophet has his own set of good attributes and love with Allah, and a station of love.

A narration from Said ibn Jubayr: Vahidi Malik ibn Sayf was a fat rabbi, and he told our Prophet that Allah has not sent down anything. Never! Jews, then, cancelled his rabbiship and threw him out. Al-Hakim. Imamah madhab (school) say imam knows something from the Unseen. That is a view in the imamah madhab (school). They say imam knows certain things from the Unseen, but this is a wrong (batil) opinion. Mehâsinü’t-Te’vîl. Nobody can know the Unseen, they may only know what Allah informed, which is not a knowledge of the Unseen, rather they can only know as much as Allah informed. Then, the gates of prophethood have been closed. Nobody receives open revelation (wahy) by Jibril (a.s.) because the sharia (law) has been completed. That is why non-Islamic views are wrong (batil). It does not matter who says it, and the name of the person who said it is not important here. What is wrong is wrong. A narration says 14 Prophets came from the lineage of Ibrahim (a.s.). There is a narration that says Ibrahim (a.s.) is Lot’s brother’s son, a narration suggest he is son of his brother. In these verses of the Quran 18 Prophets are mentioned.
Dearest friends! Insha’ Allah, we give a break to our lectures here. We will try to be in your service for Allah if we live long enough lives. As long as we have time… May our Rabb (Lord) never separate us from good work with the generosity we have been graced. By the help of the One.

On the 71st to 100th verses of Surah al-An’am [6].

Hodja recites the 71st verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
Almighty Rabb (Lord) commands: “Say, ‘Shall we abandon Allah and call that which can neither benefit us nor harm us, and turn back on our heels after Allah has guided us to the right path?’,” meaning should we leave Islam? Should we leave Allah and go back to idols, false gods (taghuts), and creatures? Should we leave Allah, who has no equals nor comparables? Should we abandon the light (nūr) of Islam that Allah brought forth? Should we go back to man-made false deities, and wrong man-made order? Friends, should we be like those who roam about the world bewildered, brought to the edge of the cliff by devils, who call us to themselves? Devils, evil powers, and false deities (taghuts) call to themselves. Allah calls one to light (nūr). Allah calls to everlasting grace, and eternal salvation. Allah calls servants (qul) to Allah. Prophets only call people to Allah. “Say, ‘Indeed, the way Allah has shown is the only right path,” and that is sirat al-mustaqim (the straight path). In every rak’ah of namaz we say, “ihdinā ṣ-ṣirāṭa l-mustaqīm,” and this straight path is Allah’s way. Hz. Muhammad is the leader of the path, and he has Al-Quran Al-Karim in his hands. Hz. Muhammad is the leader of mercy (rahmat) of all humanity, and he himself is an example of guidance (hidayat). He has Al-Quran Al-Karim in his hands, which is Allah’s book.
O, mankind! Do not ever be deceived, this is the truth. That is why we have been commanded to submit to the Rabb (Lord) of all the worlds. If we do not submit to our Creator, to whom should we surrender? We are to submit to our Rabb (Lord) with every fibre of our being. How can we submit to Allah? First, you believe in everything about Islam, and then fulfil its necessity and practice it. That is submission to Allah. Faith (iman) becomes predominant in your heart and soul. You judge by Allah’s judgment. You accept Allah’s sovereignty. You live at Allah’s command. Only then will you have submitted to Allah, and lived at Allah’s command. One cannot submit to Allah by disacknowledging Islamic order and Islamic sharia (law). There won’t be faith (iman), religiousness, or religion that way. That is why don’t you ever be deceived! O servants (qul) of Allah! Do not be deceived by the Devil, because the staff of the Devil is shouting out loud calling you to themselves. And Allah calls to light (nūr) and Islam. Islam, calls to eternal bliss and Allah.

Allah calls to everlasting and unending bounties (lutf). Allah calls to paradise (janna) and beauty (jamal). Allah calls to a truly blissful life.
Hodja recites the 72nd and 73rd verses of Surah al-An’am [6].
Almighty Rabb (Lord) has commanded us, “Perform the namāz correctly, and be wary of objecting to Allah.” “It is Allah’s presence where you will be gathered.” Allah, as being free and away from time and space, and will gather everyone in the presence in the great gathering (mahshar), in Ruz-i Cezâ (the Last Day), and Mahkamah al-Kubra (the Greater Court). That is why, dearest friends, let us perform the namāz correctly. Namāz is the deepest act of showing respect in the presence of Allah the Almighty, it is respect and miʿraj. It is to stand humbly before Allah.
It is to worship in the presence of Allah, by Allah’s own utterance (kalam). It is the best worship, and it exalts you spiritually because you are in the presence of the Divine. Others stand before idols and worship them while you come to the presence of Allah and stand humbly in qiyam, and you bow down to Allah, you perform rukū, and you prostrate (sajdah). You try to perform the worship and servitude that Allah has wanted. That is why one cannot finish talking about the exaltedness, grandness, and virtue (fazilat) of namāz. True namāz will graduate one from the university of the ninth heaven (arsh) because Al-Quran Al-Karim that came from al-Lawh al-Mahfuz (the Sacred Tablet), and arsh-i âlâ (the ninth heaven) is Allah’s own book; and namāz is performed by reciting Allah’s own utterances (kalam). It is performed by reciting Allah’s words, it cannot include people’s own words.
That is why true worship to Allah is done by reciting Allah’s own words or kalam the way Allah wants it. The way Muhammad has showed the world. Islam is the religion that Hz. Muhammad has lived, practiced, and shown. That is real worship. If everyone was able to invent something at their whim, then there would not be a need for Hz. Muhammad or the Quran. Everyone would have invented something in the name of worship. Types of worship other than the one Allah brought forth are fabrications, bid’ah (innovation), and they are not worship. Everyone would have fabricated something. People do remembrance (dhikr) as if they are dancing with dance music. They think they are doing a religious ceremony. People fabricate things that Allah has not commanded.
Do what Allah has commanded. Learn about the jurisprudence (fiqh) of Islam. Learn about both esoteric (batin) and exoteric (ẓāhir) of jurisprudence (fiqh). True mujtahid âlims and companions (sahabah) and our Prophet brought us the way of worship in Islam. Do not ever lose the knowledge (ilm), wisdom (irfan), belief, and worship of the way of Ahlus-Sunnah. Do not go to ahlul bid’ah. Do not deviate. Do not adopt wrong things. Do not be devoted to individuals, rather be devoted to Allah. Be devoted to knowledge (ilm), and wisdom (irfan). That is why what is valid is the Islamic understanding of Ahlus-Sunnah wa’l-Jama’ah, and their understanding of the Quran.

That is why Janâb-i Haqq is telling us to perform namāz correctly, and be wary of objecting to Allah. So, how does one object to Allah? Well, all commands and decrees (hukm) of Islam belong to Allah. When you do the contrary of one of them, both in terms of belief (itiqad) and action (amal), then that is an objection to Allah. He who objects to Allah in terms of belief (itiqad) becomes a disbeliever (kāfir); he who objects to Allah through action (amal) becomes a major sinner, and he would have rebelled against Allah to the extent of the crime he committed. That is why one cannot object to Allah. Be wary of the commands of the sharia (law). Be wary of all commands of Islam. Be wary of all commands of the sharia (law) of Islam, because those are the only valid things in this world and the next. That is why Janâb-i Haqq has commanded that. The verse says, “It is Allah toward whom you will be gathered. It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth in truth.” Just think about the creation of man, earth, and cosmos. The heavens and earth were created properly and excellently. It is none other than Allah Ta’ala (c.c.) who created all these in proper fashion. The verse says, “Allah says, ‘Be,” and it is right away. Allah’s word is the truth. The kingdom (mulk) belongs to Allah on the day when the Trumpet will be blown. Allah is All-Knower of the unseen and the seen. Allah is All-Wise, and All-Knowing.”
Know your Rabb (Lord) through the Quran. Every command of Al-Quran Al-Karim either introduces Allah to you, or introduces commands and laws of Allah. Pay attention to our Prophet’ sunnah (customs) as well, and also pay attention to community consensus (ijmā al-ummah), and analogical reasoning of the jurists (qiyās-i fuqahā). These are all expansions of the Quran. Islam, which encompasses all these have been manifested with Hz. Muhammad and the Quran, and they have been implemented as well. Islam has been practiced as people lived it, and it has also been appended to record knowledge-wise, its title deed was recorded. Islam is intact, and infirmity is with humanity. There are no flaws or imperfections in Islam.
Hodja recites the 74th and 75th verses of Surah al-An’am [6].
See, Janâb-i Haqq exemplifies this in the person of Ibrahim (a.s.). The entirety of the past is being presented to you via the Quran. Al-Quran Al-Karim unfolds and displays the past and future to humanity until the Hour. “When Ibrahim (a.s.) said to his father, Azar, ‘Do you take idols as gods? The truth is, I see you and your people in a manifest error.’.” Ibrahim’s father was Azer, and he was a man of Nimrod. He used to make idols. We have talked about this before, he had certain skills if you remember. Yet such a pity that the father was an idolater whereas his son Ibrahim was a great Prophet. Do you see the difference between the father and son? There is a struggle between right and wrong, which shall continue until the Hour. Those who are not sided with Allah, Islam, the Quran, and Muhammad will not be saved. Ibrahim’s father was not saved either. Those who do not believe (iman) cannot be saved.

“Thus, We showed Ibrahim the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, so that he would be among the ones who believe for certain.”
Janâb-i Haqq was continuously bestowing favours upon Ibrahim (a.s.) to strengthen his faith (iman). See what is said here: “Thus, We showed Ibrahim the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, so that he would be among the ones who believe for certain.” Ibrahim would understand what he saw, he was a great Prophet (a.s.). He had challenged the state of Nimrod. Faith (iman) challenges disbelief (kufr) and polytheism (shirk). He was thrown into fire, but fire is a creature of Allah. What did Allah do to fire? Allah commanded, and said, “No not burn Ibrahim,” and the fire died. Then, “He saw a star when night darkened over him. He said, ‘This is my Rabb (Lord).’ But when it set, he said, ‘I do not like those who set.’.” This had happened in his childhood. See, Ibrahim was searching for Allah even before the truths were shown to him.
Hodja recites the 76th, 77th, 78th, and 79th verses of Surah al-An’am [6].
See, “Ibrahim saw the moon rising, and said, ‘This is my Rabb (Lord). But when it set, he said, ‘If my Rabb (Lord) has not shown me the right path, then I would surely have been among the astray lot.’.”
“Then, when he saw the sun rising, he said, ‘This is my Rabb (Lord), this is greater than all of them.’ But when it set, he said, ‘O my people! Indeed, I am free of what you associate with Allah. Indeed, I have turned my face to the One who created the heavens and the earth, and I am never among those who associate partners with Allah.’.” See, he looked at stars, the moon, and the sun and saw them set, and he found the truth and reality right away. He said there is a Creator of all these, and he immediately attached himself to the Creator of the universe. He said these things cannot be on their own. He found the Creator back at that moment. Allah responded to his search gracefully with the truth, and blessed him.
Hodja recites the 80th verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
“His people started arguing with him.”
Ibrahim (a.s.) was standing against idols and polytheism (shirk), and he was trying to avert them from idols, and his people started arguing with him. He said the following to them: “Do you argue with me concerning Allah, while Allah has guided me to the right path for certain? I do not fear what you associate with Allah, except anything that my Rabb has wished. Our Rabb encompasses everything in knowledge (ilm). Then, will you not think at all?” He said these to his people.

Also, we see the bravery of faith (iman) here. He who has faith (iman) only fears Allah. He does not fear idols, false deities (taghuts), polytheism (shirk), polytheists (mushrikun), disbelief (kufr), nor deniers (munkirs). He does not fear anyone. He only fears Allah, but he also takes his measures. Taking measure is something else, it is a person’s duty. It is necessary due to Allah’s command. Otherwise, there is only one fear and that is fear of Allah. And there is only one love, and that is the love of Allah. That is why in the face of faith (iman) nothing has a value, and there is no reason to fear. Death is not something to fear. Death is preordained as much as living is sacred. Life is a complete law. Death is also a law, a divine law. Then, those who die in the way of Allah are those who attain immortality and everlasting bliss. That is why, for a Muslim life and death is the same, they are equal. They are both laws of Allah. Certain death does not happen without Allah’s leave, before the term (ajal) comes, and Muslims know this well; they have to know. Perfect belief is one that Muslim’s have. The faith (iman) of a Muslim makes him a hero. Even worlds are helpless against that Muslim. Why? Because he is at Allah’s command. He is a servant (qul) of Allah. Is anyone strong enough to stand against Allah? No. Muslims are under Allah’s protection.
Hodja recites the 81st and 82nd verses of Surah al-An’am [6].
See, Ibrahim (a.s.) said, “How could I fear what you associate with Allah,” which are their idols and false deities (taghuts), “when you do not fear associating partners with Allah even though Allah has sent down no signs to you?” That is what Ibrahim (a.s.) said, and Janâb-i Haqq showed Ibrahim as an example here, showing this to all believers in the world. Allah is showing him as an example to those who have believed. See, Islam and the heart and soul of Hz. Muhammad encompasses all Prophets. He is in alliance with the souls of all Prophets. Hz. Muhammad is the leader, imam, and pioneer of all Prophets. That is why all Prophets of the past are present in the reality or haqiqa that Hz. Muhammad brought forth, and it also incorporates signs of the future. That is why Hz. Muhammad is the Prophet of Mercy of all the worlds, and all Prophets are represented in an exalted position in the sharia (law) of Islam that he brought. Every Prophet has a valuable degree, and these are shown in examples. The Quran incorporates the past and the future. That is why you can find whatever you are looking for in Hz. Muhammad and the Quran. Those who have faith, do you know which of these two communities are more deserving of being in safety? See, Ibrahim (a.s.) brought forth a reasonable proof. He showed a proof, but what did he say? He said one of them is sided with Allah while the other sides with idols, which one is in safety?

Do you think that anyone who is not under the protection of Allah is safe? Allah may topple down those countries whom you think possess great power and strength. Allah has toppled down pharaohs, right? Allah has toppled down Nimrod. Nimrod’s country was the most powerful super state of the world. Allah ruined and destroyed Nimrod. Pharaoh had the greatest country of his era, and Allah toppled down the Pharaoh, ruined him. Have you seen the armies of Islam? Have you seen the armies of peace and justice; the armies of Islam and Muhammad? In such a short period of time, brave armies of Allah, armies of faith (iman), armies of love, armies of justice, armies of knowledge (ilm) and wisdom (irfan), even though they were only a handful, had spread to Tripoli, Transoxiana, and Wien at breakneck speed? They established world dominance in such a short period of time and it has been 14 centuries since that happened. Have you ever seen such an event in history? See the world’s history and consider the future as well but nobody has such a history, and this is because Islam is reality (haqiqa). Nobody else can, because even those who have such a history are doomed to topple down, be destroyed, and disappear. One cannot declare war to Allah. No state can stand up to Allah while living in the kingdom (mulk) of Allah. Those who did will experience the same of what befell every Nimrod and every Shaddād experienced; Nimrods of every era experience what befell them. One cannot stand up to Allah in the kingdom (mulk) of Allah. That is why it is best if everyone gets their head on straight.
The verse says, “Those who have faith (iman) and do not taint their faith (iman) with transgression (zulm),” see true faith (iman) is wanted. There is such a faith in the iman of Islam that it is an utter affirmation and testification of the reality. The content of the faith (iman) of Islam is a complete reality, Allah and Allah’s principles that are Islam. There is no doubt in it. It is not iman if there is disbelief (kufr). It is not iman if there is doubt. It is not iman if there is denial and refutation. That is why the verse says, “Those who have faith (iman) and do not taint their faith (iman) with transgression (zulm).” Now, what is transgression (zulm) faith-wise? Polytheism (shirk) and disbelief (kufr) are transgressions (zulm). It is no longer faith (iman) when you taint it with polytheism (shirk). It stops being faith (iman) when you taint it with disbelief (kufr), same goes for corruption (nifaq). These things abrogate faith (iman).
The verse says, “For such there shall be safety, and they are the rightly guided ones.”
Those who have true faith (iman) of Islam will enter Janna (Paradise). Islamic iman is the true iman that the past, the future, and all Prophets have. Islamic iman is the affirmation of the values of eternity past (azal) and eternity future (abad). The faith (iman) of all Prophets is Islamic faith (iman). That is why the beliefs of those who do not believe in Islam are not valid. Islamic faith (iman) incorporates Allah’s unity, that Allah is attributed with perfect qualities (sifāt), and that Allah is free and away from imperfect qualities (sifāt); it also incorporates the prophethood of Hz. Muhammad. It also incorporates the fact that Al-Quran Al-Karim and the sharia (law) of Islam has abrogated the provisions (hukm) of the past and brought forth a brand-new sharia (law) of Islam. Your heart is to affirm all of these without having any second thoughts, and your tongue has to confirm it, and you need to practice Islam. This way, knowledge (ilm) and faith (iman) will turn into good deeds (amal-e-saleh), good morals (akhlaq), social justice, love, and mercy. Only then the worlds, graves, and afterlives (mahshar) of those who live and die bearing this faith (iman) will be good.

Janâb-i Haqq offered Islam to all people in order to make them live this beauty, and sent down Hz. Muhammad upon all the worlds as a Prophet, as the Prophet of Mercy.
Hodja recites the 83rd, 84th, 85th, 86th, and 87th verses of Surah al-An’am [6].
Do you know which scene Almighty Rabb (Lord) is showing to mankind? Allah says, “These are our proofs, We gave it to Ibrahim against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will.”
This goes for Prophets as well. Allah says that the people of the Prophets who duly believed in the religion and sharia (law) that the Prophet brought forth have been raised in the way of that Prophet. Prophets have various degrees. That said, Muslims are given degrees according to the quality of their faith (iman), deeds (amal), and morals (akhlaq). The greatest degree has been given to Hz. Muhammad, Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), and other Prophets. Muslims who believe in the sharia (law) of Islam that the Prophet brought have degrees. The believers of every era, since Adam (a.s.) to this day, the faiths (imans) of the believers along with their deeds (amal) have a degree given according to quality. That is why Janâb-i Haqq says, “We raise by degrees whom We will.” The greatest degree that belongs to a human has been given to Hz. Muhammad. He is a great servant (qul) and a Messenger of Allah. He is the greatest servant (qul) and the greatest Prophet. A nd this is a reality (haqiqa).
The verse says, “Indeed your Rabb (Lord) is all-wise and all-knowing.”
How beautifully has Allah created the universe, Allah is all-knowing.
The 84th verse says, “We bestowed upon him Ishak (Isaac) and Ya’qub (Jacop).” That is, Allah gave him with Ishak (Isaac) and Ya’qub (Jacop) as well. As you know, Ishak (Isaac) is the son of Hz. Ibrahim, and he is also a Prophet. As for Ya’qub (Jacop), he is the son of Ishak (Isaac), and he is also a Prophet. Peace be upon them (a.s.).
“We have shown each of them the true path. And we have shown the true path to Nuh (Noah) from before, and of his descendants, Dawood, Suleiman, Ayyub, Yusuf, Musa, and Harun. Thus, We reward the good-doers,” says Allah. The people we listed here are all Prophets. The true path that has been shown to them is the sharia (law) and commands of Islam which have been sent down to them. Prophets were assigned to their own places, in their respective eras, with the commands of Islam And since then Allah has been renewing the sharia (law) of Islam with new commands. Islam does not change at all, but as the eras change Allah renews the sharia (law) of Islam with new provisions by sending new Prophets according to the age, and the last Prophet is Hz. Muhammad. Allah has completely renewed the past with him, and abrogated all provisions of the past. And now, there is a brand-new sharia (law) of Islam until the Hour.

“And We guided Zechariah, Yahyā (John), Isa (Jesus), and Ilyās – each of them among the righteous,” servants (qul). They were assigned Prophets. Zechariah, Yahyā (John), Isa (Jesus), and Ilyās were also among assigned Prophets. Peace be upon them all.
“And We guided Ishmael, Elisha, Yunus, and Lut, and all of them We made superior over the worlds.”
See they are all most prominent figures of their own periods.
“And We have made some from their fathers, descendants, and brothers superior, and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path.”
They are the servants (qul) whom Allah has guided.
“That is the guidance (hidayat) of Allah. Allah guides with it whom Allah wills of the servants (qul) to a straight path. But if they had associated partners with Allah, surely what they used to do would be worthless.”
Prophets are innocent, and they cannot commit sin. That is why they are all travellers of the straight path. Janâb-i Haqq says the following after announcing the truths here.
Hodja recites the 88th, 89th, 90th verses of Surah al-An’am [6].
Let us see what Janâb-i haqq says in these verses.
“They are the ones whom We gave the Book, the judgment (hukm), wisdom (hikmat), sovereignty, and prophethood.”
See, Janâb-i Haqq gives them the Book. Gives judgment (hukm) to some of them, therefore gives wisdom (hikmat) and sovereignty. And adds, “Those are the ones whom We gave prophethood.”
“So, if they disbelieve in it, then indeed, We will bring a people who will never disbelieve in it.”
That is, Allah dismisses the disbelievers and brings forth those who believe. So, if a person does not believe then he is doing the worst evil to himself. Prophets are an exception here because they are infallible. They are all possessors of true belief. Whoever speaks ill of the Prophets has neither religion nor faith. These days certain made-up books that are claimed to be divine books are filled to the brim with slanders to Prophets. Those are not divine books or anything, those are only made-up books, and hostility to Prophets. A nation who is a prophet-killer writes a made-up book and names this so-called divine book the Torah or the Bible. This is nothing but slander to the Bible. This is a slander to Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus), and the Torah. This is also a slander to Allah, and all of the Prophets because the Prophets cannot commit sin. They have no sins at all. They only have small and humane trivial lapses that are insignificant. They are infallible, and they cannot commit sin, they cannot do wrong. They fulfil the command they receive from Allah. They are excellent figures in faith (iman) as well. Their deeds (amal) are also perfect. They only work at the command of Allah.
“Those are the ones who have been guided by Allah, so you follow their guidance. Say, ‘I do not ask you any reward for it. It is nothing but an admonition for the worlds.”
See, Janâb-i Haqq says that Al-Quran Al-Karim is an admonition for all the worlds. Janâb-i Haqq gave examples of the past Prophets.
Time Stamp: 40:18
Allah displayed the past to Hz. Muhammad, so that he may convey untouched news of the past to humanity. That is why both past and future have been placed before Hz. Muhammad. Therefore, Prophet Muhammad knows thoroughly about the past, and Janâb-i Haqq had taught him the future. It is Almighty Allah who placed the testimony of the past and the signs of the future into Al-Quran Al-Karim. The Quran is the book of both past and future, and that is why you will find whatever you are looking for in Al-Quran Al-Karim if you discover it well enough.
Friends, we have listed names of many Prophets. They are all Islamic Prophets who performed their duties in the past. When a Prophet fulfilled his duty, Janâb-i Haqq sent down another Prophet. See, Al-Quran Al-Karim gives us untouched news regarding the past, and does not let anyone speak ill of them. Al-Quran Al-Karim is Allah’s book. It relies on Allah’s knowledge (ilm), al-Lawh al-Mahfuz (the Sacred Tablet). You cannot find an atom’s weight of wrong in the Quran. Everything may have certain wrong aspects. They may have rights and wrongs, but you cannot find anything other than truth in the Quran. That is why Al-Quran Al-Karim comes first and foremost, and you should use its true knowledge to lay the foundations of your belief, knowledge, and reality. If you lay this foundation of Al-Quran Al-Karim, then the buildings that are built on top of it will never collapse. As for the foundations that lack Al-Quran Al-Karim, they are all in decay, and they are good for nothing. They are all poured down into Jahannam (Hell). At first, they will suffer punishment in the grave, and then they will move towards Jahannam (Hell). That is, indeed, a pity. Al-Quran Al-Karim came to make humanity happy in the world, and to convey them to Janna (Paradise). The Quran is the book of the straight path that comes from Allah and leads to Allah; and Prophet Muhammad is the leader of that path. That is why we should acknowledge the truths well and be wary of the enemies of the truth, and let us not be deceived.
Astaizu billah.
Hodja recites the 91st verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
Let us see what Almighty Rabb (Lord) said in this glorious ayat.
“They said, ‘Allah has not revealed anything to any human.’,” and what did they do by saying that? “They did not regard Allah with a regard due to Allah.”
“Say, ‘Who brought the book which Musa brought for the people as a light and guidance, which you make into parchments, you disclose some of it and you conceal much of it; and through which you were taught what you did not know, neither you nor your forefathers.”
See what they did to Torah. Allah is announcing what they did to Torah while asking who sent down the Torah to them, and who sent it down to Musa? Allah is asking of what they did to the Torah. And says, “Say, ‘Allah!’,” against them.” What is being said to the whole word in the person of Prophet Muhammad? It is said that you should say, “Allah revealed it,” to the deviants who follow a wrong path, and acknowledge Allah through holy names and attributes (sifāt). Get to know Allah well with the glorious book that is the Quran. Allah is the singular all-able ruler of all the worlds. Know Allah well, and live at Allah’s command. That is what Janâb-i Haqq says, and then adds, “Then leave them. Leave those wrongdoing deviants who follow a wrong path. Leave those who are hostile towards right and reality, who attack Islam, who attack Allah, Prophets, the Quran, and Muhammad. Leave these tameless people of disbelief (kufr) and polytheism (shirk). Leave them, they will waste time by delving into vain talks.”
In the end, Azrail’s armies will come and carry them to Jahannam (Hell).

No army of disbelievers of polytheists can stand against the armies of Allah. Allah will sweep them all away. Allah will sweep them all away through the state, nation, army, privates, generals, pasha. None of those who attack Allah will not be able to escape, rather Allah’s armies will take them away. Allah has endless and boundless armies, and one of these armies is Azrail’s army. There are also armies of Mika’il. There are armies of Israfil. And there are throne bearer angels called Hamalat al-‚Arsh. There are armies of Ishmael, possessor of the Earth’s sky. There are countless armies above and beyond ground. There are endless and boundless armies from below the ground up to the heavens. Around the ninth heaven (arsh) there is an infinite number of armies that belong to Allah. The worlds are under Allah’s sovereignty; everybody should realize that first.
O valuable lords and generals! O labelled professors and philosophers! At first acknowledge Allah through Muhammad (asw) and the Glorious Quran. Learn about Allah via the Glorious Quran, and Islam. Islam came for the salvation of humanity, and it is the life-giving light (nūr). So, if you wish to find life in Islam, and if you wish an eternally blissful life, then discover Islam well. Hear ye! We are telling you.
Now, after announcing these, let us see what Janâb-i Haqq said next.
Hodja recites the 92nd verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
Almighty Rabb (Lord) of ours says, “This is the Book,” this is the Glorious Quran, and adds, “which We have sent down, confirming the books revealed before it, so that you may warn the people of the mother of the cities and all humanity around it, is a blessed book.”
“And those who believe in the afterlife (ākhira), they believe in this book, and they maintain their namāz, and maintain it.” Namāz is a worship that Allah wanted from us servants (qul) including all men, women, young and old people. It is said that those who believe in the afterlife (ākhira) must surely believe in the Quran. As for those who deny the afterlife (ākhira), and the Quran, and the prophethood of Hz. Muhammad; they have denied Allah. They have denied Allah knowingly or unknowingly, and they may not even be aware.
Hodja recites the 93rd verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
In this sacred ayat (sign/verse), our Almighty Rabb (Lord) says, “Who is more unjust than the one who invents a lie about Allah, or said, ‘It has been revealed to me,’ while nothing was revealed to him, and the one who claims he will bring down a book like the book that Allah has sent down?”

See, they try to compete against Allah by claiming they are able to write a book like the Quran. Yes, in your dreams. Who do you think you are against Al-Quran Al-Karim? The Quran has come from al-Lawh al-Mahfuz (the Sacred Tablet), from Allah’s knowledge (ilm), thus it came directly from Allah. Who are you? You are but a creature. It is an ageless utterance (kalam). O humanity! If you wish to increase in value and also in virtue, then imprint Al-Quran Al-Karim onto your heart, and then you may rise. Do you think you can deny the Quran and then claim you are able to write a like of it? That is like rising from the grave! And you will rise from your grave. Renounce this idea, otherwise you will not only rise from the dead but the Zebani, who are angels of punishment, along with Munkar and Nakir will bring you down to Jahannam (Hell) by hitting you with a hammer of hell. They will send you down and get you out by hitting you above and below. Get your head straight because one cannot stand against Allah. One cannot compete against Allah. Allah has sent down this book to Prophet Muhammad. This book and this universe belong to Allah. This kingdom (mulk) is the kingdom (mulk) of Allah. This book is the constitution or qānūn-e asāsī of the worlds. Those who deny Allah and the Book have to leave the kingdom (mulk) of Allah. Are you able to do that? No, you don’t. Then, obey Allah. Welcome the Quran with open arms, and rise with it. That is why Janâb-i Haqq says, “Who is more unjust than those who make such claims?”
The verse goes, “If you could see when the unjust are in agonies of death.” And now the Azrail (a.s.) came and Janâb-i Haqq is narrating him, telling us that Azrail comes to take their life by stretching them out and pulling out their lives.
Gather all the doctors, all the armies of the world, and all the generals along with the police force and the states people and see if there is a single soul who can save you from Azrail’s hand. Gather all pilgrims (hajji) and religious teachers (hodja), and get everyone who wears a turban or not, and see if any one of them can save you from Azrail’s hand. He takes your life by pulling and stretching it. It would not have been like that had you obeyed Allah.
Hodja recites the 1st and 2nd verses of Surah al-Nazi’at [79].
There are those whose lives are taken violently by stretching them out, and those whose lives are taken as easy as cutting through butter. Their souls are gently taken. Their souls are gently collected. They are conveyed to Janna (Paradise). Their graves turn into paradise, and some are taken up to illiyin (the highest place in jannah), and some are taken down to Sijjin, the depths of Jahannam (Hell).
Get your head together! There are those whose graves are in Fire, and those whose graves turn into paradise and they will be raised up and taken towards the true, real, and everlasting structure of Janna (Paradise). There are also those who get out of the grave and stay forever in Jahannam (Hell). Why are you ruining yourself? That is what Janâb-i Haqq says: “If you could see the unjust when they are in agonies of death while the angels stretch their hands to them, saying, ‘Discharge your souls.’ Today, you will be recompensed with a humiliating punishment because you used to say about Allah untruthfully and you were being arrogant toward the ayat (signs/verses) of Allah,” and then the punishment commences. Sakratu l-mawt (agony of death) begins, and they start taking your life by pulling it out violently. Then, a door from jahannam (hell) will be opened part way into your grave, and your grave turns into jahannam (hell). Do you imagine 7-headed dragons when you hear the word punishment? Much may come to your grave.
Time Stamp: 55:52
Your grave is jahannam (hell) as long as you have disbelief (kufr), polytheism (shirk), and corruption (nifaq). Do not forget that it is a dungeon from among dungeons of jahannam (hell), and a pit from among its pits. Do not forget scorpions, snakes, and dragons will come to tear you apart, and there is no death. Allah has made you taste death in the world, and takes your soul from your body, and resurrects you in the grave and punishment in the grave commences. So, when does the punishment in the grave end? That depends on your sins, and also depends on Allah’s wish. Whatever Allah says shall happen, and the laws of Allah are in effect. Allah’s laws are not games. Allah does not break a promise. People fabricate themselves a law and then they dislike it, change it and throw it out. As for Allah’s laws, they cannot be distorted. Allah does not break a promise. Allah’s laws are not games, they are not disposable laws. They are laws of everlasting reality. This set of laws are all in Al-Quran Al-Karim. There was a sharia (law) of Islam back when Adam lived. Started with Adam and his lineage, but where will it go? It went up to Seth, Idris, and Nuh, but everyone will be brought to account in the great gathering (mahshar) about Allah’s commands and the sharia (law) of Islam of each Prophet. That said, after Muhammad came to the world, all nations until the Hour will be brought to account in the great gathering (mahshar) according to Al-Quran Al-Karim.
That is, all nations after the coming of Muhammad because the past has been renewed with the Quran. All sharia laws of the past have been renewed by the sharia (law) of Islam, sharia (law) of the Quran, and the sharia (law) of Muhammad. From then on, the sharia (law) of Islam is the only law of all nations and all times that is valid in the eyes of Allah. This is the truth and reality whether you believe or not. I have Allah’s book Al-Quran Al-Karim before me, and I do not say things at a whim because I would have committed a crime if I did. Therefore, dear friends, we are all servants (qul) of Allah, and we need to tell each other the truth. Some western philosophers claim Muhammad was right in his own conscience and he truly knew himself as a Prophet, and they say that is what he thought. Muhammad is a true Messenger of Allah, and the philosophers made a mistake here. They have deviated to truth, and gone astray. Muhammad has never done anything wrong, and he can’t. That is why we need to understand the East and the West correctly. Something wrong, is wrong in the East and the West. The truth is still true whether it is in the East or the West. This goes for North and South as well. That is why a truth is true everywhere, and same goes for a wrong as well. It does not matter if the wrong belongs to a shepherd or a philosopher. When you study the ideas of the philosophers you will see contradictions. Why? Because there is no second god besides Allah. Allah is One.

Allah’s laws do not contradict, nor do they clash. It is just that you need to discover it thoroughly, and understand Al-Quran Al-Karim well.
Astaizu billah.
Hodja recites the 94th verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
Almighty Rabb (Lord) says, “Certainly, you have come to Us alone, as We created you the first time, and you have left whatever We bestowed on you behind your backs. We do not see your intercessors with you those whom you claimed that they were in your matters partners with Allah,” which means that those whom you trusted their help and intercessions, such as your leaders, masters, and partners with you, “Indeed, the bonds between you and them have been severed, and what you used to claim is lost from you,” says Janâb-i Haqq.
Everyone will be brought there alone. Souls come to the great gathering (mahshar) with two soldiers of Allah by their sides. They are raised from the grave by two soldiers, and are brought to the great gathering (mahshar), to the presence of Allah, no matter who you are you will come to the presence of Allah with two soldiers of Allah by your side. You may have a rank or not. No matter who you are, rich, poor, men, women, etc. You will come to the great gathering (mahshar). You may be young, old; if you have become a mature adult (bāligh al-‚aql), then you will answer to Allah. You may be a judge, or a convict, it does not matter. Allah will bring the judges to account as well as the convict. If the judge prisoned that person unjustly, and did not manifest the divine justice that Allah brought forth, then what will that judge say to Allah? O judges! You will be saved only when divine justice is manifested with your hands, tongues, and pens. The judges will receive the gravest punishment as long as the true justice is not manifested. People of religion will have the greatest crime and get the biggest punishment, but why? This is because they need to be leaders of right and reality. They need to be pioneers of justice, and that is why everything that they trusted has been lost from them. And Janâb-i Haqq is saying, “Who will save you now?” Is there another saviour? Can anyone be saved from the hands of Allah? You may invoke all your gods, idols, and false deities (taghuts) as well as your leaders and pioneers, and all of those who followed those masters. Can a single soul have a say in there? Or, will all those transgressors be chained up, and crawling in the presence of Allah in misery?
The masters of disbelievers (ahlul kufr), and the masters of transgressors and transgression are all chained up in there, and they are thrown into Jahannam (Hell) with their backs broken. Such a pity, you are ruining yourself. Just calculate the hours you have in this life, the days and nights you live, and look at the night and the day, look at your youth, childhood, and old age. How many hours will you live in this world throughout your life? You have such a short life-span in this world, and you are standing against Allah, is that right? Poor, pitiable fellow! Do you think a person, who does not have pity on himself, his lineage, his entourage, and his home… You would have obeyed Allah if you had mercy and conscience. You need to obey Allah, and embrace the Holy Quran with every fibre of your being. You need to accept the prophethood of Muhammad, and live the divine laws he brought. You are ruining yourself otherwise.
We will enter the grave, and rise up, and then we will answer to Allah. There is no doubt about it, and those who do doubt have no faith (iman). Let me tell you that much, there is no doubt about it. We will die as we have been Created, and we will be resurrected upon death, and then we will answer for what we used to do in the presence of Allah. There is either Janna (Paradise) or Jahannam (Hell) when the reckoning ends. There are headquarters that have been founded. Paradises and Hells are founded, ready. They are at the ready.

The heavens are endless and boundless. There are seven layers of heavens, and beyond that, in the ninth heaven (arsh-i âlâ), and the realm of divinity (‘alam al-lahut). Just take a look at these endless and boundless worlds; paradises and hells have been founded, and there they stand.
They are waiting in ambush, get your head straight. If you see that you have been created, and know it… You are given eyes. You are given ears. You are given intellect (aql) along with a body and soul. If you see these and that this universe has been created, then don’t you think resurrecting us upon death is easier? Is this not a sign of it? Why do you deny? I am addressing those who deny, and celebrating those who believe. Glad tidings be upon true people of faith (iman), there is eternal bliss for you as long as your belief (iman) is true, your knowledge is real… So, progress towards perfection (kamal) with your good deeds (amal-e-saleh), don’t you ever say your faith (iman) is enough. Nourish your faith (iman) with true knowledge. Eat and drink from the garden of the Quran. Submerge into its knowledge (ilm), and dive into its ocean, and continue to get fayiz (success), and also fulfil the true acts of worship because Allah is deserving of worship. Allah is a unique being, and we are servants (qul) of Allah. We have our obligations as servants (qul), and we serve our Rabb (Lord) with our unable, ignorance, unwariness… Yes, we are imperfect, but our Rabb (Lord) is indeed Merciful. Allah is the possessor of an unparalleled mercy. We have flaws. We are helpless. We are ignorant. We are unwary. Our Rabb (Lord)! We have never worshipped You as is due because of our ignorance, unwariness, and inability, but we humbly supplicate to You that you accept it. Allah is the Oft-Merciful. You should continue worshipping to the extent of your ability. Worship and obey Allah. Do not rebel, rather obey and perform worship. Obey, but do not ever rebel. Live as a pious believer (ahlul taqwa). Live with zuhd al-taqwa (detachment and piety), achieve that and then gates of ma’rifat will open. Allah likes to progress the servant (qul), and wants us servants (qul) to advance non-stop. That is why you should not defile your body with sins. Do not defile yourself with harams because halals are endless and boundless. The number of halals are plenty while the number of harams are limited. You should not abandon all these halal things and appeal to haram things, do not ruin yourself. Haram will destroy a person, and blacken his soul, tarnish his heart, and harams are a pathway to Jahannam (Hell), whereas the halals are the pathway to Janna (Paradise). That is why you should be aware. Be wary, Al-Quran Al-Karim is warning you; it is warning us. So, let us wake up. Let us ask Allah for guidance (hidayat), and try to be among the servants (qul) who are awake. Let us see what Janâb-i Haqq says here.
Janâb-i Haqq places truths of every nature before us servants (qul). Janâb-i Haqq places them before your intellect (aql). Al-Quran Al-Karim addresses one’s intellect (aql) because one of the first creations of Allah is intellect (aql). Regarding the value of mankind, one of its greater values comes from intellect (aql). It is not present in other creatures the way it is in humans. Janâb-i Haqq gave them instinct, and placed it in their creation, innate nature, instinct, and disposition. But Janâb-i Haqq has given mankind a complete quality of advancement and development.

Humans are prone to advancement, and they are also prone to abasement if they act contrary. Humans should never degrade themselves, rather they should advance and develop non-stop. An example of that would be idle grass, it does not turn yellow nor does it get dry and die, but it also does not blossom out, it does not progress. Some people live like idle grass; it is uncertain when someone will come and eat it or displace it. No human should be like that, especially not Muslims, they cannot be like that at all. Muslims always self-improve. That is why two things must primarily be discovered by humanity. These are Al-Quran Al-Karim and Prophet Muhammad. Then comes cosmological laws and the universe. Scientific studies must be sped up. Scientific studies in the world began after Prophet Muhammad. Had the soldiers of idols had not attacked Allah, the Messenger, Islam, faith (iman), or the Quran, and had scientific studies continued, then the world would have progressed a lot. Such a shame that there are awful people in the world who adopted fighting, shedding blood, and exploiting humanity as duties; there are souls worse than that of monsters.
Janâb-i Haqq says the following.
Hodja recites the 95th and 96th verses of Surah al-An’am [6].
Let us see what Almighty Rabb (Lord) says: “Indeed, Allah is the splitter of the grain and the seed.”
See, all botanical plants that grow with a seed, and all seeds that spring up on earth, whether they belong to plants, trees, or whatever, who is their splitter? Allah says that it is Allah, the Creator. Allah created earth with that nature, and created the grains and seed with their respective properties. Allah placed a law into earth, and created everything including small things like the grains and seeds, including even the smallest grain and seed; Janâb-i Haqq created them all with a law. Janâb-i Haqq created earth, air, and water along with fundamental matters with a complete fate (taqdeer), measure, and calculation. Allah created them with a ratio of elements, and if you change that ratio you will distort it and it will not be water anymore. That is why everything in the cosmos has been created with a law. It is the omnipotence (qudrah) and sovereignty of Allah that created nature, reigned over it, and placed all the laws of nature. Those who worship nature see it but they do not see the Creator. Be wary of Naturists and Animists as well as philosophical errors. People simply worship something when they fail to find Allah, and that happens according to the wrong things people rely on. See, they rely on a creature, but they do not see the Creator. Then, they start worshipping it. There are those who do not see any leader but their own, and master but their own, and brave-fellow but their own. Then, they say there is nothing else in the world, and they cannot see the Creator. Every one of those who do not worship Allah are worshipping something. Those who do not acknowledge Allah’s order have an obsession and error. A person ruins himself when he gets stuck in a wrong, such as polytheism (shirk), disbelief (kufr), or hypocrisy (nifaq). Their master and those who follow him will all be destroyed as well. That is why we need to be realistic. The truth is Allah, and reality is whatever Allah has put under the name of Islam.

Some try to portray non-Islamic things that the Quran rejects as if they are Islamic to humanity. They do these to defame Islam. Be wary of them, these are ahlul bid’ah and dalalah (people of deviant innovation and misguidance). Pay close attention to Al-Quran Al-Karim and the Sunnah, along with the Islamic understanding of our grand mujtahids and âlims. There are so many wrong things that anti-Islamic powers bring forth with an ulterior motive, be wary of them as well. Be wary of those who portray those wrongs as Islam. Be wary of fake darwīshes and fake theologists. The enemy personally go there and establish an organization and claim it is under the name of Islam, in order to blame Islam. You see them and they seem okay but when you look at the work, they have been doing you see that they have no correlation whatsoever with Islam, they are either acting like Buddhists or Hinduists, or they are acting like Ancient Greeks, or they act like any Naturist or Animist. They have no correlation whatsoever with Islam, but they attribute that to Islam, why? Because they are provocateurs, they invent these lies themselves and they do these in order to defame Islam. Every Muslim should beware of the spies that live among them. They disguise themselves as so many guises and they spy.
Hodja recites the 97th verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
Almighty Rabb says, “Allah is the One who causes the dawn to break by splitting the dark. Allah has made the night for rest, and the sun and the moon for calculating your times. That is the ordaining (taqdir) of Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.
Now think about the creation of seasons, and watch as the day and the night unfold. These things have been made according to measure (taqdir), and are something orderly. This is a matter of measure. Do you think this order can unfold like this on its own? Do you think anything emerges from nothing? Almighty Allah is a wajib (necessary) being. Allah’s existence is due to Allah’s own being, and everything is Allah’s creation. That is why you should take a look at the day and the night. Look at the months, years, hours, minutes, and seconds as well as seasons, and the sun’s effect on the seasons. See the sun’s movement in its own orbit. Al-Quran Al-Karim says, “They are in motion in their own circles,” even before the world drew near that knowledge (ilm). So, Allah has placed the ordaining (taqdir) with regards to the occurrence of day and night in a balanced manner.
That said, Janâb-i Mawla says the following.
Hodja recites the 98th verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
Almighty Rabb (Lord) says, “Allah is the One who created the stars for you that you may find your way in the darknesses of the land and the sea.”
Who placed the stars to their places, and filled the sky to the brim with stars? Do you think they just appeared by themselves? How would a star appear by itself? It is also said that this is a creation, and ordainment (taqdir) of Allah.

In this verse of the Quran, “It is Allah who made stars for you, so that you may find your way in the darknesses of land and sea.”
See, Allah has created the sun, the moon, stars, oceans, land, plains, trees, plants, vegetables, endless and boundless diversity of life. See the various living creatures in the depths of oceans, below ground, and above ground. See them because Janâb-i Haqq has founded such an order. See these creatures, Allah created them all and assigned a duty to each of them; they all have duties in the ecosystem. That is why, dearest friends, “We have certainly explained our ayat (signs/verses) thoroughly for a people who understand.”
Janâb-i Haqq personally explains the Quran’s verses so that people may understand and know. The Quran, for a people who understand, is endless and boundless, beginningless (azali) and endless (abadi), and it is the sea of reality that Allah brought forth. Allah’s utterance (kalam) is beginningless (azali) and endless (abadi).
Hodja recites the 99th verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
Let us see what Almighty Rabb (Lord) says, “Allah is the One who created you from a single soul, then there is a place of dwelling and a resting place. Certainly, We have made the ayat (verses/signs) clear for a people who understand.”
“Allah Ta’ala is the One who sends down water from the sky, then We bring forth with it every kind of growing thing. Then, from it We bring forth green plants from it, and We produce grain in clusters. And from the date-palm, from its spathe clusters of dates hanging low. And gardens of grapes, and the olives, and the pomegranates; similar and dissimilar. Look at its fruit as it fructifies and ripens. Indeed, there are signs in that for a people who have faith, there are so many lessons to derive.
Every atom is a book, a divine book, a cosmological law. Every atom in a strand of hair includes many laws, divine laws. Just think for a second, imagine a single cell. Just take a look and see how many cells you have in your body. See your flesh, organs and systems, spiritual and bodily structure. From the smallest bug to the entire world, the moon, the sun, and the stars; just take a look, us humans are powerless. So many ages have passed and humanity could advance only this much. Al-Quran Al-Karim gave all the hints to humanity. It laid the foundation of advancement, and made its move. However, people try to demolish the house they live in, and that is why they stood against this book that sheds light and mercy (rahmat), and the Prophet of Mercy – thus, they roam about in soulless bodies.

See, that man has denied the meaning, he also denied his soul but adhered to material as a materialist. He adhered to nature, but he denied the One who created it. World can only advance this much in this state. That said, dearest friends… Janâb-i Haqq says the following.
Hodja recites the 100th verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
“And they make the jinn partners of Allah.”
See, the jinn exist, that is true. But they saw that the jinn are slightly powerful, and adopted them as gods to themselves. They made them partners, turned them into idols. They started worshipping jinn. Yet, the jinn are creatures just like humans. Allah created the jinn from fire, and men from clay, and angels from light (nūr). These are all servants (qul) and creatures of Allah. If you are to worship one because it is slightly more powerful, then there will be zillions of gods, but there is no god besides Allah. There is only Allah, the creator. Others are creatures. As you see, the verse lists varieties of polytheism (shirk) which are all wrong. It is said that those who worship the jinn are a different kind of idolaters and polytheists. The verse continues, “though Allah has created them.” See, it is Allah Ta’ala who created them. See, they try to abandon Allah and insist on worshipping a creature of Allah. The verse continues, “and [they] make up sons and daughters for Allah, without any knowledge.” Allah has neither sons nor daughters but servants (qul) and creatures. Ascribing sons or daughters to Allah is the gravest slander to Allah, and it is idolatry and polytheism.
The verse continues, “Immaculate is Allah.” Allah is subḥān (glorious), free and away from all inadequacies. Allah is attributed with perfect and holy attributes (sifāt). That is why you fall into polytheism (shirk) if you ascribe Allah with something that does not suit the glory of Allah. Allah does not forgive polytheism (shirk), so get your head straight.
Our Prophet used to pray to Allah constantly by saying this.

Al-Quran Al-Kareem – Tafsir (Exegesis) Lesson 251
On the 101th verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
I seek shelter in Allah from the rejected Satan. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Hodja recites the original text of our Prophet’s prayer (dua).
He would continuously pray to Allah saying that. He would say, “ve sûil ahlâk” and “ve sûil menzar,” and “fil ehli vel mâlî vel veled”. He had given prayer (dua) examples to his ummah. Hz. Muhammad has also taught all humanity what they should avoid, and on what they should take refuge in Allah. In this prayer (dua), he says, “Avoid polytheism (shirk) altogether. Avoid all kinds of evil such as disbelief (kufr), hypocrisy (nifaq), wrongdoing (zulm), debauchery and libertinism (fisq and fujur), flagrant sinning (fāsiq).”
Obey Allah, do not rebel. Get your head straight!
Hodja recites the 101st verse of Surah al-An’am [6].
Those who live in the world by abandoning Allah and godship to others should contemplate this verse. Let us see what Janâb-i Haqq says: “Allah is the originator of heavens and earth out of nothing.” Besides, that cannot be anyone else but Allah. The verse says, “the Originator of the heavens and the earth.” O humanity! Get your mind straight! It is Almighty Allah (c.c.) who created the heavens and the earth out of nothing. Allah is the Creator.
The verse continues, “How could Allah have a son when Allah has no companion?”
Allah has no equals, no comparables, no examples, no equivalents. How could there be a child of Allah when Allah has no equal? That is what Janâb-i Haqq said, “How could Allah have a child though Allah has no companion?” Allah has no equal. Allah is unique, one in terms of Being, one in attributes (sifāt), one in doings (af’al), one in regards to everything. Allah is the absolute and necessary existent (wajib al-wūjūd) Being. The only Being. Other beings are all creatures that have been created later. Allah is the only absolute Being whose non-existence is out of the question, the only necessary Being. The wajib al-wūjūd (necessary existent) Being. Allah’s existence is due to Allah’s own Being. “How could Allah have a child though Allah has no companion?”
Some people claim Isa (Jesus) is son of Allah. Never! Some people claim Uzair is son of Allah. Never, never in ever! Some people claim Allah incarnated into someone. Some people believe in metempsychosis (tanasuh). Never, never in ever! Some people believe in incarnation (hulul). Never, never in ever! These are all polytheism (shirk). No creature is divine. They are all creatures of Allah. No creature is a divinity, that is neither partially nor wholly, that is utterly impossible and out of the question. If you claim a creature is a divinity, then you will have ascribed a partner to Allah, which is polytheism (shirk). Get your mind straight! Worship only to Allah. Worship Allah. Besides, if you worship Allah, then you will have the best approach and behaviour against the creatures Allah created. You will have all the love, and all the capital. Those who worship Allah have all beauties and good things because love of Allah is the source of all love. That is, only love of Allah.
Allah Ta’ala is the source of all mercy. Your true faith (iman) in Allah Ta’ala brings the bounties (lutf) of Allah, which is a necessity of the mercy Allah bestowed upon you. That is why the true Muslims who have true faith (iman) who are servants (qul) of Allah will have infinite love, and infinite mercy. From then on, every Muslim becomes a manifestation of truth and justice for humanity. From then on, through Allah’s manifestation of mercy (rahmat), every Muslim becomes a manifestation of mercy (rahmat) and goodness, and they will not think of evil anymore.

People may go astray, be wrong, miss their footing, or stumble; but they may repent and ask for forgiveness thousands of times if they make a mistake. That is why it is said, “وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ” – “Allah created everything,” and there is no Creator besides Allah. No dot make a mistake! Do not attribute creatorship to others saying he has created this or we have created that. See, you are acting contrary to this verse. There is no Creator besides Allah. You will fall into polytheism (shirk) if you say this in the real sense, and you will become a polytheist (mushrik). Also, if you say this by force of habit, and you say it by mistake, then repent and do not do it! These wrong words that become a habit may drag you to mistakes and graver dangers. We should not get accustomed to wrong things. That is why it is Allah who created everything. The 101th verse says, “وهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ – Allah is All-Knowing.”
Had Allah not knew everything, could Allah create this universe and us? Allah is All-Knowing. Allah knows all methods of creating, and is All-Able over everything.
Hodja recites a part of the 2nd verse of Surah al-Hadid [57], which means, “To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens.”
Amantu wa saddaqtu. Amenna wa saddaqna.
That said, dearest friends!
May Allah make our faiths (imans) perfect and lasting.
Insha ‘Allah, in our next lecture we will give you more explanatory discovery notes regarding these verses. The lessons of the life-giving light (nūr) shall insha ‘Allah continue as long as we live, and as long as Allah graces (lutf) us. All bounties (lutf) are from Allah. All skills are from Allah. We are thankful to Allah for eternity. Endless, boundless, and infinite thanks and praises be to Allah. Allah graced (lutf) us with the bounty (nimat) of faith (iman), the ability to believe in Allah, as we stand over this Book. Allah introduced us with a book like the Quran, and with a holy religion like Islam, and made us people of a Prophet of Mercy like Muhammad. Allah is unique and exalted, and has accepted our servitude, and created us as servants (qul). How happy we are! We would not have praised Allah as is due even if we praised non-stop. We praise Allah with every fibre of our beings, but Allah is like how Allah praises Allah.
We say the following.

Yet, Allah is still like how Allah praises Allah. Allah is like how Allah says Allah is. That is because we are weak, ignorant, and unwary. That is because we are people, and there is much we do not know even if we learn non-stop. We may afford certain things, but there are also ones we cannot afford. So, we are to confess our weakness, and do what? We need to confess our weakness, ignorance, and unwariness. Allah has given us whatever we have, only Allah has given to us. We will never abandon Allah’s gates of mercy (rahmat), and Allah’s glorious and excellent monastery. We will be at Allah’s door. We are Allah’s servants (qul). That is why Allah has manifested to us with the mercy (rahmat) and Islam. The greatest mercy (rahmat) is Allah’s manifestation on us servants (qul) with Islam.

Salaat and salaam be upon Your beloved. We hope all people will be recipients of guidance (hidayat) of Allah. Peace of Allah be upon every believer who is rightly guided.

After giving you the meanings of the previous verses of the Quran, we will now continue our life-giving lessons with authentic knowledge and discovery notes regarding them, which are based on solid fundamentals both in terms of narration (riwayat) and comprehension (dirayat).
As all of you know, Nuh (a.s.) was sent down as a Prophet first time against an idolater lot, and he is a Prophet who may be considered as the second Adam. Alaihissalam. He was sent to an idolater lot. In the end, those people were destroyed because they did not listen to their Prophet. As all of you know, that lot was killed by flood. Janâb-i Haqq had commanded Nuh to build an Ark, and made him build it. The believers were in the Ark while others were utterly destroyed by the flood. Islam belongs to all humanity. It is beginningless (azali) and endless (abadi). Islam goes from eternity past (azal) to eternity future (abad). Islam is the saviour Ark that leads to Allah. That is, Islam and Al-Quran Al-Karim. Prophet Muhammad (asw) is the excellent captain of that Ark of Islam. Muslims, and all people who believe are in this Ark, they are voyagers. As for all others who did not board the Ark of Islam, they will be destroyed. Such a pity! Janâb-i Haqq gives the punishment of those who do not accept Allah and the sharia (law) of Allah with justice. Allah (c.c.) has promised that those who obey Allah, accept Islam, have faith (iman), and accept Allah’s order will all be saved. Whatever Allah has said is the truth. See, Islam is the embodiment of these truths. Al-Quran Al-Karim itself is its constitution, it is the divine and unchanging laws.
Ishak (Isaac) and Ya’qub (Jacop) constitute the base of Prophets of Israel. As for Dawud (David) and Sulaiman (Solomon), they were given kingdom (mulk) and sovereignty as well. That said, Ayyūb (Job) and Yūsuf (Joseph) were given good perseverance (sabr). Ayyūb (Job) and Yūsuf (Joseph) were exemplary in regards to perseverance (sabr). Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron) were given the book, sharia (law) and they defended the truth against Pharaoh with overwhelming strength. See, we see a great struggle against Pharaoh in Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron).

That is why Janâb-i Haqq has supported the Prophets in every setting, in accord with the conditions of the environment. Allah has sent down Prophets according to people’s needs, and commanded sharias (laws) to those Prophets according to the conditions of those eras and conditions of time. Allah has placed shari laws (canonical laws). Allah is the Shari (Law-Maker), and the laws that Allah brought forth are called sharia (law).
