Turkish English Tafsir Lesson 318-320

Al-Quran Al-Kareem – Tafsir (Exegesis) Lesson 318

I seek shelter in Allah from the rejected Satan. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

That is to associate partners with Allah, or shirk. You see, if you divinize others, meaning if you divinize someone beside Allah, there is surely shirk (polytheism) therein. Allah is one, and has no equals or comparables, has no partners or similars. We supplicate to Allah that light (nūr) of monotheism (tawhid) may shine in the hearts of all humanity and all the worlds (alamin), and that they may be saved from shirk (polytheism), hypocrisy (nifaq), kufr (disbelief), zulm (injustice), and all evil, and that they may all be blissful through the commands of the true religion (haqq din) of Allah. We supplicate to Janâb-i Haqq in the name of all humanity because Islam came for the salvation, prosperity, and bliss of all mankind. The religion (din) of Islam does not want anyone to go to jahannam (hell). Islam does not want the slightest discomfort, cheerlessness, or nose-bleeding for anyone in the world. Islam wants everyone to be happy because Islam itself is the true religion (din) of eternal and exalted laws which Allah brought forth. Islam itself is the true religion (haqq din) o the Real (al-Haqq). May Allah grant everyone happiness through this religion (din) of the Real (al-Haqq).

Al-Quran Al-Kareem – Tafsir (Exegesis) Lesson 319

On the 28th to 47th verses of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

I seek shelter in Allah from the rejected Satan. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Hodja recites a prayer in Arabic.

Hodja recites another prayer in Arabic.

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

بِسْــــــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِارَّحْمَنِ ارَّحِيم

Hodja recites the 28th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Dearest listeners, the Book of our Exalted Rabb is a complete light (nūr), and we continue our lectures with the lessons of the life-giving light (nūr), sacred verses of the Holy Quran, which is the life-giving light (nūr). The life-giving light (nūr) is but Al-Quran Al-Karim and Islam. With that said, it is Almighty Allah who brought forth Islam. Islam has been manifested to the worlds (alamin) through Hz. Muhammad, by Almighty Allah.

“O you who believe! Indeed, the polytheists (mushrik) are impure (rijs).”

That is, polytheism (shirk) is dirt (rijs), and it is nothing but dirty (rijs). Be wary of polytheism (shirk).

“Let them not approach Al-Masjid-ul-Harām after this year. And if you fear poverty, when Allah wills, Allah will enrich you out of Allah’s grace (lutf) and bounty (ihsan). Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.”

Amenna wa saddaqna.

Hodja recites a part of the 28th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Almighty Rabb is All-Knowing, All-Wise. Allah encompasses everything with knowledge (ilm), and beginningless (azali) and endless (abadi) rulership belongs to Allah. Everything about Allah’s is filled to the brim with wisdom (hikmat).

Hodja recites the 29th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Almighty Rabb says the following in this verse.

“Fight those who do not believe neither in Allah nor the Last Day even though they were given the book, and those who do not acknowledge what has been made haram by Allah and the Messenger is haram, and those who call harams halal, and those who do not take the true religion (haqq din) as their religion (din), until they pay tribute out of their hand and are utterly subdued.”

We see here that for ensuring faith, truth, justice, peace, and sovereignty, and for establishing truth, reality, and peace on earth, it is said that believers should fight until these conditions are met. Meaning, establish peace on earth in all conscience. For the religion (din) of Islam is nothing but peace, and it is said that there won’t be peace until this is established on earth. Meaning, until Islam becomes predominant. There won’t be peace until then, and today, you see the situation in the world. A part of the world is being exploited while another part is being killed.

Time Stamp: 5:45

Hodja recites the 30th and 31st verses of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Let us see what Janâb-i Haqq said in these verses of the Quran.

“The Jews say, ‘Uzair is the son of Allah,’ and the Christians say, ‘Messiah is the son of Allah.’ This is what they made up with their own mouths.” Almighty Allah says that they made these up. “They imitate the sayings of those who deviated to denial earlier. May Allah ruin them, how they are astray.”

You see, they deviated from the way of Isa and the Bible. They deviated from the way of Musa and the Torah. Alaihimusselam. Janâb-i Haqq narrates how deviated they are, and how they deviated others as well.

“They have taken their rabbis and monks as lords (rabb) besides Allah.” Almighty Allah says this. “They have taken the Messiah, son of Maryam as a lord (rabb), although they were commanded to worship none but Allah the One; there is no god but Allah.”

And there is no lord (rabb) beside Allah. With that said, there are no equals, similars, comparables, or partners of Allah. Uzair (a.s.) is a human being who was born to a father and a mother. He is among valuable servants (qul) of Allah. As for Isa (a.s.), he is also another valuable Prophet, son of Maryam, and servant (qul) of Allah. Nobody can be a lord (rabb) except Allah. There is no other lord (rabb). However, what did they do? They took their rabbis and monks as lords (rabb) beside Allah. They took the Messiah, son of Maryam, as a lord (rabb) although they were commanded to worship none but Allah the One.

Isa and Musa, Bible and Torah were saying Allah is One, and they never said Allah is two. They never claimed to be lords (rabb). However, those who deviated from the way of Torah later declared themselves as lords (rabb), and they also slandered Isa and Uzair. Yet they did the worst evil to themselves, and they have deviated. That is why Janâb-i Haqq gives news of these, and there is no god but Allah, and there is no rabb (lord) but Allah. Allah is free and away (munazzah) from what polytheists (mushrik) associate. Almighty Allah is free and away (munazzah) from what they associate.

Time Stamp: 10:20

Now, what does munazzah mean? Almighty Allah lacks flawed sifāts (attributes) or ones that are similar to that of creatures (makhluq). Exalted sifāts (attributes) belong to Uluhiyyah (Godhood), and all exalted sifāts (attributes) are present in Allah. However, these sifāts (attributes) are unlike that of any creature (makhluq), or anything besides. Allah is unlike what is created, and is munazzah (free and away) from having equals, similars, partners, or comparables. Allah is attributed with exalted sifāts (attributes). None of the flawed attributes are with Allah.

Now, after announcing this, Janâb-i Haqq says the following.

Hodja recites the 32nd verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Almighty Allah says, “There is a light (nūr) of Mine, which I shined.”

“They wish to extinguish the light (nūr) of Allah with their mouths.”

Islam and the Quran are the light (nūr) of Allah entirely. You cannot extinguish Islam, nobody can. You cannot destroy the Quran because it is Allah’s Book. These worlds are of Allah. We are all servants (qul) of Allah. It is Allah Ta’ala who sent and assigned duties to every Prophet. Prophets are the envoys of Allah. They are all only at the command of Allah. The religion (din) of Allah is one, and it is Islam. Nobody can extinguish this light (nūr) of Islam and the Quran. They may only extinguish their own faith (iman), and they may extinguish the faiths (imans) of those whom they led astray. Then, they will fill jahannam (hell) to the brim altogether along with the Shatan. Such a shame, really. We need to know these truths beforehand, and Al-Quran Al-Karim has been shouting out these realities to the universe for 14 to 15 centuries, and it will continue to shout out until Last Day. It is the eternal and divine laws of Allah. Allah’s eternal and fadeless light (nūr) is Islam and Al-Quran Al-Karim. It is said, “They want to extinguish Allah’s light (nūr) with their mouths, but Allah is not pleased. Allah wants this light (nūr) to be perfected even though the kāfirīn (disbelievers) don’t want it. That is, Allah is the ruler of these words (alamin) whether they like it or not. Allah shall make Islam predominant, and this peace will be established, and justice will be ensured. This is the Islam that is known, which Allah brought forth. With that said, a religion made-up by someone is not a din. Some people made things up in the name of Islam and speak, but theirs is not Islam. Islam and Al-Quran Al-Karim can be understood through âlims, mujtahids, mufassirs, high-âlims, and people of knowledge (ilm) and wisdom (irfan). The understanding of Islam and the Quran that Hz. Muhammad has discovered has been preserved to this day by the Ulama. That said, it is Allah Ta’ala who explained the meaning of the Quran to Hz. Muhammad. Prophets cannot do anything of their own accord, rather they spread (tabligh) the command of Allah.

Hodja recites the 33rd verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

“It is Allah,” Most Exalted. Almighty Allah, having no equals or comparables, and being one in every regard…

“It is Allah who has sent down guidance (hidayat) and religion of truth (haqq din) to the Messenger Muhammad so that he makes it prevail over all religions.” The faiths beside the religion (din) of Allah have been made up by people. Allah is such exalted and supreme that the religion (din) of Allah is superior to all fabricated religions. So, what did Allah do with Hz. Muhammad and the Quran, in order to make it prevail over them? Allah sent them with guidance (hidayat), with an utterly true religion (haqq din). Almighty Allah says these have been sent to make Islam, which is the true religion (haqq din), prevail over all religions.

So, Allah clearly says the following.

Hodja recites a part of the 33rd verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

So, what would happen if polytheists (mushrik) object to it? About that the following has been said.

Hodja recites a part of the 33rd verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Almighty Allah says, “Even though the polytheists (mushrik) dislike it, don’t want it, I have sent Muhammad with a guidance (hidayat) and a complete religion of truth (haqq din) in order to make Islam prevail over all fabricated religions.”

See, Hz. Muhammad is a complete Prophet of guidance (hidayat), means for the salvation of all humanity. He is the Prophet of the true religion (haqq din). He is a Prophet who was sent for the entire universe with the religion (din) of the Real (al-Haqq).

With that said, this is the religion of truth (haqq din), which is the religion (din) of the Real (al-Haqq). This is a religion in the world that is right and real (haqq wa haqiqa), and all fabricated belief systems and whatever has been made up in the name of religion; Almighty Allah says, “It is Me who sent Muhammad with a guidance (hidayat) and the religion of truth (haqq din) to make Islam prevail over all of them.”

You see, Allah says, “It is Me who sent it.” The peerless Rabb (Lord) of all the worlds (alamin) says that.

Hodja recites a part of the 33rd verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Even though the polytheists (mushrik), those who associate partners with Allah dislike it, Islam has prevailed over everything, and it will continue to prevail for eternity. This is why one can’t and won’t stand against Islam. The light (nūr) of Islam cannot be extinguished because it came for the salvation of humanity. Who can extinguish a religion (din) that came for the salvation of humankind? Is there even a possibility of that happening?

With that said, Janâb-i Haqq commanded the following.

Hodja recites the 34th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

“O you who believe!”

Janâb-i Haqq says, “It is a reality that, many of the Jewish rabbis and the Christian monks devour the wealth of mankind in unjustly.”

You see, those who deviated from the way of Torah and Bible have gathered people’s wealth, and they devoured people’s wealth, stacked people’s wealth high, and they made people deviate from the way of Allah, but why? This is because they have deviated from the way of Musa and the Torah. This is because they have deviated from the way of Isa and the Bible. They stacked people’s wealth for themselves, and made people deviate. Almighty Allah says all that. Now, who sent the Bible back then? Almighty Allah did. Who sent the Torah back then? Allah did. Who sent Isa and Musa as assigned Prophets? Allah did. Who sent the Quran? Allah did. Who sent Muhammad? Allah did. Why did Allah sent Muhammad and the Quran?

Friends, what did people do in regards to previous books? People deviated from their paths, and the books got corrupted. This is why Allah renewed them through the Quran.

Time Stamp: 21:05

Allah had already renewed Torah with Bible. Allah had also renewed the previous ones with Torah, and all were renewed with Al-Quran Al-Karim. Allah is One, and we are servants (qul) of Allah the One, and we cannot neglect this reality. Allah speaks the truths, for Allah does not speak wrong. Everybody should look for wrongs in themselves. The verse also says, “As for those who accumulate gold and silver and do not spend it in the way of Allah, give them the good news of a painful punishment.” Had these religious figures donated the wealth they accumulated to the poor and needy, they would have fulfilled the command of Torah, Bible, and Quran. Such a shame that just like they opposed to Torah on that day, and just like they did not implement the provision of Torah and deviated from its way, and just like they deviated from the way of Bible, there are people today who wish to play the same game with Al-Quran Al-Karim. However, Al-Quran Al-Karim is the Last Book, and it has no chance of being corrupted. Whoever tries to corrupt the Quran ruins himself, and this happened. Since the last 14 to 15 centuries there are millions of copies of the Quran in the world, without a single letter missing. Nothing has been added to it or subtracted from it. Al-Quran Al-Karim is in all the souls, hearts, memories, and books; it is under Allah’s protection, and it is being protected until eternity. It has been protected to this day, and it will be protected throughout eternity. This protection is undertook by Allah. Allah says, “I’ve sent down Al-Quran Al-Karim, and I am the One who preserves it.”

Hodja recites the 9th verse of Surah al-Hijr [15].

You see, Allah personally says that in this verse of the Quran. Al-Quran Al-Karim has no chance of being corrupted, one may only corrupt himself and those whom he deviated and deluded. Islam has no chance of being distorted until eternity. Now, what does Janâb-i Haqq say about those who accumulate wealth, devour it, and deviate people, and don’t spent it in the way of Allah, and don’t give it to the poor and needy?

Hodja recites the 35th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Janâb-i Haqq says, “On that day that gold and silver will be heated up in the Fire of Jahannam, and their foreheads, sides, and backs will be branded with it.” That wealth will burn those people, but why? This is because they devour the rights of the poor, deviate people, accumulate wealth, and pile up goods. They live a life equal to irreligiousness under cover of religiousness. With that said, they do all that by using the religion.

Time Stamp: 25:00

See, this is what Janâb-i Haqq says.

Hodja recites a part of the 35th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Says, “So, taste that which you have been accumulating.” “These are that which you hoarded for your lives in the Fire… Wealth is fire unless it is earned in the way of Allah through halal ways, and unless distributed to the poor and needy in the way of Allah, and unless spent that way. In that case, wealth is fire, and it will burn its owner. Janâb-i Haqq says, “So taste what you have been accumulating.

Wealth was tasty in the world, and Allah tells them to taste punishment of jahannam. Taste this punishment. Says they are to suffer the punishment of the fire. Janâb-i Haqq says that it will be said to them, “Taste that which you have been accumulating.” Says, “This will be said to them.” See, Janâb-i Mawla says the following. The wealth in the world, along with livelihood and everything including each breath should be taken in the right path, earned in the right path, and spent in the right path. We all belong to Allah with every fibre of our being. You cannot do the opposite of what Allah says in the kingdom (mulk) of Allah by using the religion (din) of Allah. If you do, then there is the law and court of Allah. It stands over you! The punishment you earned through your crime stands over you, whether you accept or not. Almighty Allah speaks the truth. With that said, Janâb-i Mawla gives news about many wrongs. Janâb-i Haqq also brings forth the truths so that people may attain the eternally blissful life, and that mankind may be saved from all dangers. The way of being saved from every danger on earth, in grave, and in gathering (mahshar) and to attain the murad (desire), and to find the truly blissful life is to thoroughly understand and comprehend the lessons of Islam which Allah brought forth, the glorious Quran, and the life-giving light (nūr).

Hodja recites the 36th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Let us see what Allah Ta’ala says in this light-shedding book and verses, which is Al-Quran Al-Karim that is light (nūr).

“Verily, the number of months with Allah is twelve months,” says Almighty Allah. This is because Allah created the worlds (alamin), created the moon and the sun. Allah created it like this in the writing which was written on the day heavens and the earth were created. and of these four are sacred. This is the decree of the right faith. Says this is the decree (hukm) of the sharia (law) of Islam. “For this reason, do not wrong yourselves in regards to these. And declare all-out war on polytheists (mushrik) as they fight against you altogether, and fight them.” Do not give a chance to shirk (polytheism) and zulm (injustice).”

Do not frighten away peace and justice. Do not destroy truth and make wrong predominant. Make truth, reality, peace, and justice predominant. “And know well that Allah is with those who are al-muttaqûn (the pious). Who is al-muttaqûn? Muttaqi is a person who believes the way Almighty Allah wanted, obeys Allah, and fulfils the rules of the sharia (law), and he who does not rebel against Allah.

With that said, Janâb-i Haqq also makes mention of Nasi‘.

Time Stamp: 30:36

Hodja recites the 37th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Allah says, “Nasi‘ (custom of postponing the sacred month) is nothing but an increase in disbelief (kufr), by which disbelievers (kāfir) are led astray.”

This is because they choose the way of nasi‘ by their own free-will and disbelief (kufr). And what does that bring? It is said this is nothing but an increase in disbelief (kufr), and disbelievers (kāfir) are led astray with it. Why? This is because they want it; they are led astray in a way by their own free-will as their freedom is not interfered; they implement their own free-will in that way.

“They consider it halal one year, and consider it haram another year to correspond to the number made haram by Allah, and thus make halal what Allah has made haram. This way, their evil-deeds have been shown good to them.”

You see, the deniers themselves and their devils have accepted evil as good by their own free-will. They called haram halal, and vice versa. This is why their evil-doings have been made fair-seeming to them.

“Allah does not guide a disbelieving lot to the right path.”

But why? This is because they have chosen denial by their own free-will. They don’t accept faith (iman). They don’t accept Allah’s offer, but do the completely opposite of it. Allah says adopt faith (iman), but they disbelieve (kufr). Allah says, “Establish justice, and implement my laws and decrees,” but they do whatever suits their desires, and disacknowledge the command of Allah. That is why Allah does not limit anyone’s freedom on the test field. Trial is where there is freedom. Janâb-i Haqq created this world as a test field, and created humans as free beings. Humankind is undergoing a trial as they are free and independent. That is, you either do what Allah says or be struck by the laws of Allah. Allah’s law (huquq) is the most exalted law (huquq). Allah’s justice is the most exalted justice. If you neglect Allah, then you will wake up in the court of Allah Ta’ala, where you will be brought to book. In that case you will have to bear the consequences, and the consequence of that is eternal jahannam (hell). May nobody fall into that situation while Allah calls to janna (paradise), and calls to the endless and boundless table of mercy (rahmat). The disbelievers eat from the table of rahmat of Allah in the world, but they cannot find janna (paradise) in the next world, and they will find themselves deserving of jahannam (hell). So, what is the continuation of the table of rahmat (mercy) in the world, which is the eternal and immortal table? It is in ready and present Jannat al-Ala. Both janna (paradise) and jahannam (hell) are ready and waiting. That is why Janâb-i Haqq has called all servants (qul) to the everlasting table of Islam. This bliss is eternal. That is life itself. Islam is the life in which you are prepared for the eternally blissful life.

Time Stamp: 35:40

Hodja recites the 38th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

“O you who believe! What is the matter with you that when it is said to you, ‘March out to jihad in the way of Allah,’ you collapsed into a heap where you stood? Do you give up the afterlife, and become happy with the worldly life instead? Know that the enjoyment of life of this world is but little in comparison to the afterlife.”

That is, Janâb-i Haqq says, “but little”. With that said, deducing from a hadith-i sharif, the worth of the world is not even as high as the wing of a fly next to the afterlife. For the world has been created to be finite (fāni), and the world is present for a term. Also, people have different lifespans, and the world itself has its lifespan. People who live in the world also have personal lifespans. Surely, human lifespan is shorter, and the world’s lifespan is until the Last Day. Mawt al-kulli (death of everything); what is human lifespan? It ends when their appointed time (ajal) comes. Everyone knows this, how many years does one live at most? You may be a doctor, a philosopher, a sociologist, a psychologist, a head of the state, a general, a poor fellow, a rich fellow; death is breathing down everyone’s neck. Azrail (a.s.) breaths down everyone’s neck. When the appointed time or ajal comes the life is taken, and conveyed to its deserving place. This is why we have to be in the way of Allah on earth, and do whatever Allah tells us to do. Allah tells the best and truest of everything. There are no flaws in any command of Allah. There are no wrongs or shortcomings. Every command of Allah is exalted, just like Allah is exalted. Al-Quran Al-Karim itself is Allah’s Book. It is the commands and laws of Allah. It is the haqq (rights) and law (huquq) of Allah. Allah has given all creatures (makhluqat) their rights, and wants justice from us. Tells us to implement these, and Almighty Allah says that it is humankind’s obligation to establish peace and justice, and give every right-owner their rights by abiding by the supremacy of rights (haqq) and laws (huquq) of Allah.

Allah addresses the believers by saying, “O you who believe!” Disbelievers couldn’t acknowledge this matter and truth yet. They have been left out of faith (iman) and reality (haqiqa), and it is necessary to save them as well. It is necessary to save the faithless, but how? You are to present the truth of the matter which he disbelieves, and convey him the truth. Almighty Allah tells us to spread (tabligh) the Quran to the world.

Hodja recites a part of the 45th verse of Surah Qaf [50].

Says, “Narrate the Quran to the world.”

Time Stamp: 40:00

Hodja recites the 39th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Almighty Rabb says, “If you do not march forth to war altogether, Allah will punish you with a painful punishment, and replace you with another people, and you will not hurt Allah in the least, and Allah has power over all things.”

For if the believers, those who are honest and upright, and possessors of knowledge (ilm) and wisdom (irfan), and scientists leave the field empty for people of disbelief (ahlul kufr), tyrants, and the unjust (zalimun), what would happen to the world? The world will be ruined and miserable.

Hodja recites the 40th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Almighty Allah says the following in this verse, “If you do not help him, then Allah will help him.” That is if you do not help Allah’s glorious and beloved Muhammad, the true religion (haqq) din he brought, that religion (din) of peace, the guidance (hidayat) that Prophet brought, and the sovereignty of iʻlā‐i kalimatullah and the Quran, which are means of guidance (hidayat).

That is, if you do not help Muhammad who came to ensure peace in the world, and establish truth and justice on earth. If you do not help this true religion (haqq din), then Allah will help Muhammad and the religion (din). Allah helps, but why? The aid of the Real (al-Haqq) is always ready and waiting for those who are in the way of truth (haqq).

“When disbelievers expelled him from Mecca, and he was only one of two, and they both were in the cave, he said to his companion,” which was Abu Bakr, “Do not grieve because Allah is surely with us.”

Hz. Muhammad was saying that. The disbelievers (kāfir) caused our Prophet to get out of Mecca and emigrate (hijra) for they wanted to kill Hz. Muhammad. There have always been prophet-killers. The murderous mindset that wanted to crucify Isa wanted to do the same to Muhammad. The mentality that murdered and martyred Yahyā and Zechariah wanted to do the same to Muhammad.

Time Stamp: 43:27

The mindset that wanted to destroy Musa wanted to do the same to Hz. Muhammad. The mindset that wanted to destroy Nūh, Hūd, Sālih, and Ibrahim, one that threw Ibrahim into fire, wanted to do every evil to Muhammad. However, Allah is with Muhammad. Allah is with all Prophets, and those who are on the right path. Allah saved Isa (Jesus) from crucifixion. They were going to kill him, hang him, but Allah saved him. What did Allah do about Muhammad? Allah’s armies came to Muhammad. In all fronts, the unseen armies of Allah were fighting disbelievers (kāfir) on the side of Muhammad. Allah says this whether you believe or not! Allah speaks the truth. Surely, Allah always speaks the truth. Throughout eternity every word of Allah is right, unique, and most exalted. Allah’s words are exalted just like Allah is exalted. If you divinize creatures (makhluqat) beside Allah, then it means you have went astray from the start.

Janâb-i Haqq said the following.

Time Stamp: 45:00

Our Prophet said to his friend Abu Bakr, “Do not grieve, for Allah is with us.” Do you see what Allah says here? Allah had sent a tranquillity and strength down to his heart, and had supported him with an army that you do not see. Now, pay attention to this.

Hodja recites a part of the 40th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Almighty Allah sent down tranquillity (sakīnat) upon him, and strengthened him and supported him. But with what? With “bi-junūdin – armies.” However, the disbelievers (kāfir) couldn’t see those armies. Today, the faithless can’t see them either, but believers surely see and believe what Allah says in a more certain way compared to 2+2=4.

Janâb-i Haqq says the following.

Hodja recites a part of the 40th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Allah was supporting Muhammad with armies you could not see. Pay attention to this! And supported him with an army that you cannot see.”

Hodja recites a part of the 40th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

So, what does Janâb-i Haqq say here?

Rendered the word of the disbelievers (kāfir) humiliated. The word of disbelievers (kāfir) are the vilest word. And the word of Allah is the uppermost. Iʻlā‐i kalimatullah, the word ʿulyā in this verse is the most exalted word.

Hodja recites kalimat al-tawheed.

Every word of the Quran is exalted, and what is in the contents of kalimat al-tawheed? There is Islam and the Quran. There is a summary of faith (iman), this starts with kalimat al-tawheed.

Hodja recites kalimat al-tawheed.

In the contents of this there is iman (faith), the Quran, Islam, all Prophets, all Holy Books, everlasting proofs/signs, beginningless witnessing and all witnessing of the past. This is such a word that it is an exalted word that encompasses azal (pre-eternity) and abad (eternity). You see, this is the highest (ʿulyā) word of Most Exalted Allah. You see, the word of Allah is the highest (ʿulyā). And the word of disbelievers (kāfir) is the lowest (sufla).

So, what is that?

Hodja recites kalimat al-tawheed.

There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger. They don’t accept this, they either divinize someone or worship an idol, or associate partners with Allah, or deny altogether. Once kufr (disbelief) enters into a person’s inner world from any side, and when shirk (polytheism) enters and he acknowledges it, the word of shirk (polytheism) and kufr (disbelief) is the lowest of the lost, vilest of the vile. It is Almighty Allah who says that. That is, we are not like people who convey the words of others, saying this person said this and that person said that etc. We are not among those people. We are obliged to narrate whatever Allah and the Messenger says, and we are elaborating on how our Prophet explored the Quran, we are elaborating on the discovery of the exalted discoverer in regards to both riwayat (narration) and dirayat (comprehension). We are dwelling on those discoveries. So, who explains the Quran? It is Allah Ta’ala who explained the Quran to Hz. Muhammad, and it is Hz. Muhammad who explained Al-Quran Al-Karim to people the way he took it from Allah. The real explorer of the Quran is Hz. Muhammad, Ashab al-Ghuzin, our mufassirs, mujtahid âlims, and faqihs. We have such Islamic philosophers who are juridical philosophers. They are unprecedented in this world.

Why are they unprecedented? The Quran has no equals, and their huquq (jurisprudence) is the divine huquq (jurisprudence). The law in their hands is the divine law. This is not a falsehood made up by a random person. This is not something brought forth by people. This is not games you can play today and spoil tomorrow. This is not a puzzle or something, this is the divine jurisprudence (huquq), which are laws of Allah. That is why one cannot explain the religion (din) or Al-Quran Al-Karm by narrating words of random figures. That is not religion (din) either. If you do, then you will start taking others as lords (rabb); understand Quran right, and narrate it right, listen to your Prophet well, understand well, and see how the Prophet established Islam, how he narrated, how he understood, how he practiced, and how he settled it. This is how we are obliged to understand it. This matter is not at anyone’s whim. Unless everyone adheres to the exalted values that Allah brought forth through every fibre of their being, their contemplation and consideration, their physical and spiritual abilities, they will not have adopted faith (iman). Can you adopt what suits your desires and leave out the others? Do you think certain commands of Allah are good and others are bad? There is no such faith (iman), there is no such belief-style in Islam. Islam is the whole of commands of Allah. That is why you are to acknowledge Allah’s commands as a whole. Denying partially is equal to denying wholly. This has been established as a law in aqidah and kalam. He who denies partially denies wholly, and vice versa. That is why it is not possible for a person to be faithful by denying a single word, a single sentence, or a single provision (hukm) of Al-Quran Al-Karim. There is no faith (iman) where there is denial. There is no faith (iman) where there is doubt. That is why Janâb-i Haqq informs us of the truths.

Hodja recites a part of the 40th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

“Allah is Mighty, Wise.”

Beloved friends, Allah explains everything and all realities to people through Al-Quran Al-Karim in the best possible manner. Listen to it well for Allah gave you an ear, but you don’t turn a deaf ear to Al-Quran Al-Karim. Allah gave you eyes, but you turn a blind eye to reality. Allah gave you heart and reason (aql), but you don’t use your heart for the Quran. You do not use your reason, ideas, and cognizance in order to understand the Quran. Okay then, if you are not using what is given to you by Allah Ta’ala in the way of Allah, then you will answer for that. Do you think Allah gave you that reason, heart, and soul so that you may deny Allah? Were they given so that you may deny the Quran? Were they given so that you may deny Muhammad? Were they given so that you may deny all exalted values that shall continue to be for eternity, along with everything that came from Allah, whatever there was in the past and present in the name of Islam? No. They were given so that the servant (qul) may be blissful for eternity, have faith (iman), acknowledge the rulership and command of Allah, and be at the command of Allah. They were not given so that they may serve others slavishly, for there is no other Creator. How can you enter into someone else’s command and worship him? How can you deny Allah? How can you disacknowledge the commands of Allah? Is this something wise to do? That is why Janâb-i Haqq says the following.

Hodja recites the 41st verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

O mu’minun! “O you who believe! Those who accept the truths as a whole, march forth whether you are lightly or heavily armed, and do jihad in Allah’s way with your possessions and lives. This is better for you, if you only knew.”

Hodja recites a part of the 41st verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

That is, this is much better for you. If you do not do that, then peace will be done, tranquillity will be done, and instead of justice the zalimun (unjust) will become predominant with their zulm (injustice). Almighty Allah strictly says, “Fulfil my command.” This is because jihad (struggle) in Islam is an absolute command of Allah. With that said, terror is forbidden in Islam.

To kill a person unjustly is like killing the whole of humankind. To save a life is like saving the lives of the whole of humankind. It is Al-Quran Al-Karim that said this, go and see this utterance (kalam) of Allah in Surah al-Maidah. Every action of Islam is for preparing you to peace, tranquillity, justice, bliss, and eternal happiness. This is why the name of our lecture is the lessons of the life-giving light (nūr), this is why we named our lectures like that. Why? This is because we spread (tabligh) Al-Quran Al-Karim so that it may be a means for the salvation of the whole of humankind. That is why it came, Al-Quran Al-Karim came for the salvation and happiness of the whole of humankind. Allah is one, and all people are servants (qul) of Allah. Everyone is a servant (qul) of Allah the One. Why is there a duality or trinity, and all that segregation and enmity in the world? There is no reason for all that. Humankind makes up and fabricated hostility themselves. Allah wants friendship, justice, fraternity, iman (faith), and amal-e-saleh (good deeds). Allah offers eternal bliss to servants (qul), and that is Allah’s right (haqq). Islam is the rights (haqq) and jurisprudence (huquq) of Allah. Allah has given the rights of every creature. Unless every right-owner receives their rights, this responsibility befalls everyone, and everyone shall answer to Allah. Huquq or jurisprudence is not that which you fabricate.

The huquq that Allah brought forth, and supremacy of law (huquq). Allah is the Real (al-Haqq), and the commands of Allah are law (huquq). the law (huquq) of Allah, and the supremacy and exaltedness of law (huquq) is here. This is a law (huquq) above nature, above humans and the jinn, above all the worlds (alamin), and the universe. An exalted law (huquq); supremacy and exaltedness of the law (huquq) is here. You will understand this is above nature and human once you get to know Allah. You cannot get to know Al-Quran Al-Karim without getting to know Allah. That said, you cannot get to know Allah without getting to know Al-Quran Al-Karim. So come, if you acknowledge Allah Ta’ala, then try to get to know the Quran. Get to know Al-Quran Al-Karim first so that you may get to know Allah right. If you don’t get Al-Quran Al-Karim right; Torah and Bible had narrated Allah correctly, but some people came up and divinized others. What did they do in regards to Allah? They associated partners and equals with Allah. Allah is one, but they made up so many false gods and lords (rabb). Many made up lords (rabb) and gods emerged, and they also slandered valuable figures. For no valuable figure calls himself a lord (rabb), nor do they ever claim they are daughters or sons of Allah. Allah has no equals or similars, for Allah is One.

Hodja recites the 42nd verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

“Had it been a near gain at hand or an easy journey, they would have certainly followed you,” this is said to Hz. Muhammad. What was Hz. Muhammad doing in order to establish world peace? He was going to jihad. Expedition of Tabuk was one of them, however that was a difficult expedition, and they felt like it was a long expedition. With that said, “They will swear by Allah, ‘If we could afford it, we would certainly have gone out with you,’ and they will drag themselves to destruction, and Allah knows that they are indeed liars.”

This is about those who fabricated so many lies and excuses in order not to join our Prophet in jihad. Allah gave news of their fabrications beforehand. This is an utterly miraculous verse. This verse of the Quran is but an utter miracle, just like every verse of the Quran is a miracle. Our Prophet was in Tabuk, and all lazy and ignorant people, murderers, liars, and impostors who did not join the jihad, who did not join the fight in Madinah; Allah informed Hz. Muhammad of this situation by reading their souls to him. Allah said they will bring up many excuses, and they will swear… Janâb-i Haqq said the following.

Hodja recites a part of the 42nd verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

“Allah knows that they are surely liars. Allah informed him of their lies beforehand, and most of such people are hypocrites (munafiq).

Hodja recites the 43rd verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

“May Allah forgive you.”

Janâb-i Haqq addresses Hz. Muhammad and says, “O my servant (qul), I have forgiven you.” As you see, the good news of amnesty is given in order not to sadden the Beloved.

“Why did you give them permission to stay at home before it had become clear to you which of them spoke the truth and which were liars?” asked Allah.

Hodja recites the 44th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

They asked our Prophet permission to not to go to jihad, and our Prophet gave them permission. So, what does Allah say? Says, “Have you inquired who among them were truthful? Have you inquired who among them were liars? Why did you give them permission before these had become clear to you? As you see, Janâb-i Haqq says this for our Prophet to do all his duties in the perfect manner, and gives a true method, a true decree and command. Janâb-i Haqq says the following with an exalted command, “Inquire about the situation, and do not be deceived by those who are not truthful.”

Hodja recites the 44th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

Do you see how grave news came to the detriment of hypocrites (munafiq)?

Janâb-i Haqq says, “Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day do not ask your leave to be excused from jihad with their wealth and their lives,” for they acknowledge this as a duty, and Janâb-i Haqq says the believers already don’t do that. Allah says those who believe in Allah and the afterlife (ākhira) do not ask for such a permission, and they join the jihad.

“Allah knows who those muttaqi are.” That is, Janâb-i Haqq says, “We know those who are truthful and those who lie.”

Hodja recites the 45th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

“Had they wanted to march forth to jihad with you, they would surely have made certain preparations in regards to it. However, Allah did not want them to go forth, and made them lag behind, and it was said to them, ‘Sit back with those who stay behind.’.”

As you see, Janâb-i Haqq personally announces that Janâb-i Haqq did not want the hypocrites (munafiq) to participate in the fight, and it is also wanted that an investigation should be carried out beforehand in order to not want them to join.

Hodja recites a part of the 45th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

“Only those people ask you to be excused who do not believe in Allah and in the Last Day and their hearts are in doubt. So, they are wavering in their doubt.”

Hodja recites the 46th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

That is what Janâb-i Haqq said. Allah said they did not want to participate in the war. That is, Allah also did not want them to participate in the war.

Hodja recites the 47th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

“Had they gone forth to jihad with you…”

See, what would the hypocrites (munafiq) do had they gone forth to jihad, and participated in the army of Islam, the army of peace?

“They would be of no use except cause disorder.”

They would cause disorder, and they would have tried to cause fitnah among the army. The work of the hypocrite (munafiq) and polytheist (mushrik) is nothing but fitnah (strive) and fasād (corruption).

Hodja recites a part of the 47th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

What does Janâb-i Haqq say? Says, “Among them some are to be deceived by their words.” These are sometimes believers (mu’min) and Muslims, but they are gullible. There are gullible-minded and weak-minded people who may be deceived by the words of hypocrites (munafiq) without seeing whether he who speaks to them is friendly or hostile. With that said, these can also be faithful Muslims.

Hodja recites a part of the 47th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9].

“Allah knows the zalimun (wrongdoers).”

Allah knows everything. Allah knows the zalimun (wrongdoers). Allah created the souls, and reads them. Allah reads the souls of hypocrites (munafiq), reads the inner worlds of the polytheists (mushrik), and narrates them in the Quran to the world. Al-Quran Al-Karim tells you of what nobody can know, it narrates the contents of the souls, and recites people’s inner worlds to you. But why does it narrate? This is so that everyone may see their wrongdoing, find what is right, and be happy. And that everyone may be saved from disbelief (kufr), polytheism (shirk), and hypocrisy (nifaq). Al-Quran Al-Karim came to save! Why does a doctor who operates on a patient does that? Why does he extract an organ, or cut tissues? He is to save the body, and the health of a man. He is to restore his health. He is operating to conduce towards that. What is the trimmings that Islam does in the world? It is like pruning trees, why do you do that? For it to be better. Why do you shave? To look better. Why do you pull out decayed teeth? Why do you spray disinfectant to microbes? So, it means that the religion (din) of Islam, through the justice it brought forth in the world, in order to ensure peace Allah brought forth the most exalted decrees.

Justice is to remove harmful ones, and to establish efficacy and mercy that all people will benefit from, to ensure peace and happiness of the souls, hearts, bodies, inner and outer worlds, in the heavens and earth, to protect the universe and preserve nature. You see, there are talks of a global danger. The laws of Islam, and nature of Islam does not let you corrupt the world. Islam encourages everyone to science, to scientific studies, but does not let you do fortune-telling in the name of science and corrupt the universe. In Islam, science if efficacy. Science is to defy harm, and bid what is beneficial. Do you know what some people do in the name of science? They butcher science in the name of science, just like fortune-tellers, hodjas of jinn, and sorcerers deceive people. True science is one that the religion (din) of Islam encourages people to. That is a science for the benefit of all humanity, and also technique and technology are parts of that.

May Janâb-i Mawla make it easy for everyone to work for the better good of humankind, and to establish peace and justice in the world. Islam is nothing but the laws of Allah. Islam is but justice. And it came for the bliss of all mankind. This is a reality whether they accept or not. The sun is there even though you turn a blind eye to it. Even if you walk in darkness the sun is there. The sun is there no matter what you do, even if you run away from it like bats. That is why Islam is a reality. Islam is a reality even if they deny it. They will face this tomorrow, in the grave and in the gathering (mahshar). Allah’s armies will bring them to the greater court. Come, let us work together and establish peace in the world heart by heart! To endeavour to destroy Islam is to destroy the peace in the world, that is what it means.

Al-Quran Al-Kareem – Tafsir (Exegesis) Lesson 320

I seek shelter in Allah from the rejected Satan. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Beloved audience!

The lessons of the life-giving light (nūr) continues, and we continue with discovery notes in order to reveal more of the meanings of the sacred verses whose meanings we have given earlier. Our lesson now starts with the 31st verse of Surah al-Tawbah, otherwise known as Surah Bara’ah, and we continue in order. Janâb-i Haqq says there is always no-good mentalities against the good ones, and these are sick mentalities. Allah Ta’ala has manifested through beginningless (azali) and endless (abadi) mercy (rahmat), which treats those mentalities, and the name of this azali and abadi rahmat is Islam. Al-Quran Al-Karim incorporates all mysteries of guidance (hidayat). The exemplary leader and excellent pioneer of the true religion (haqq din) and creed (diyanet) is Hz. Muhammad, with every fibre of his being. With that said, all decree (hukm) and sovereignty belongs only to Allah Ta’ala.

They are bloody-minded, but the religion (din) of Islam says stop to those who go after murder. They wish to extinguish the light (nūr) of Islam. Those homicidal and blood guilty people who go after murder are telling lies, spreading denial, outcry and propaganda in order to destroy the book which is the Quran, and prophethood (risalat) of Hz. Muhammad. That is, they are working to cancel the book and prophethood, they wish to smother light in darkness. Dark brains are always like that, and the dark brains wish to smother the light (nūr) and its source in darkness, however it has always been them who got smothered, and they shall be smothered. Islam came to save them. They may be saved if they acknowledge Allah, the sovereignty of Almighty Allah, and Islam which is the unmatched order and law (huquq) of the Most Exalted Allah. Otherwise, nobody may be saved from the justice of Allah. No homicidal and bloody-minded terrorist can be saved otherwise. Islam is a religion of jihad, and it is against all terror, tyranny, and murder. Allah Ta’ala (c.c.) wants to brighten the light (nūr) of monotheism (tawhid), and to exalt and sanctify Islam. If Allah wished something, then Allah does it. Besides, they wanted to extinguish Islam at the beginning when it was born. What happened? Throughout 14 centuries all taghuti (idolatrical) powers of the world have attacked Allah and Islam, which is the law (huquq) and order of Allah. What did they do? Those who came to their senses became Muslims, and those who couldn’t have ruined themselves.

Time Stamp: 5:02

Islam came to save them, but they are striving to extinguish the light (nūr) of Islam. With that said, Allah is such an Exalted Being that there is no end to the power and omnipotence of Allah. Allah has the absolute power, and al-Qayyum (The Sustainer) is Allah. The worlds (alamin) and heavens and the earth are in need of Allah. However, Allah does not need anyone. Almighty Allah personally announces the world that the Real (al-Haqq) is superior to every force in order to render the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (asw) victorious, and announces that the religion (din) is Islam.

Hodja recites a part of the 19th verse of Surah Ali Imran [3].

Almighty Allah says, “Truly, the religion (din) with Allah is Islam.” This is what Allah says in the 19th verse of Surah Ali Imran [3]. So, what does many other verses do in that regard? They all affirm this, and they also announce. Allah has announced that all other religions have been abrogated (naskh), and they have been rendered invalid. The religion (din) of Allah is one. The true religion is one as Allah is one. The true religion has been brought forth by Almighty Allah, and it has extinguished the decree of all man-made and fabricated religions, abrogated all of them. That is, Allah has announced the worlds (alamin) that they have been rendered invalid.

See the 106th verse of Surah al-Baqarah [2] as well. You will see that this light sheds there as well, and you will also see that true religion is Islam. Tawhid or monotheism has been announced to all the worlds. Islam is a religion of tawhid (monotheism), and the iman (belief) of all prophets is tawhid (monotheism) and Islam. The 88th and 89th verses of Surah al-Shu’ara [26] also explains these truths. Once again, Allah announces to the worlds (alamin) that there is no other true religion. There is no other true religion. Allah is one, and there cannot be two religions. Allah has assigned all Prophets to that single religion (din), which is Islam. All prophets have fulfilled their duties in the past. Allah sent Hz. Muhammad and Al-Quran Al-Karim until eternity, which are universally praised.  Allah renewed the entire past with the sharia (law) of Islam. It is necessary to know this truth, and it is also necessary to repeat it. With that said, it has been announced that there is no other true religion. It is also announced that right to life may only find life through the life of the Real (al-Haqq). See, Holy Islam showed that right to life may only find life through the life of the Real (al-Haqq).  Do you want life? Do you have a life? You see, Almighty Allah showed through Islam and the Quran that right to life may only find life through the life of the Real (al-Haqq). It is Allah who gives you life, and nobody besides Allah can give you right to life. Allah has created everything with their rights and remedies while creating them. As right to life belongs to Allah. Since it is Almighty Allah who created life itself, nobody has the chance to give someone right to life except Almighty Allah.

Time Stamp: 10:00

That is why it is said right to life may only find life through the life of the Real (al-Haqq). Allah made shirk (polytheism) and kufr (disbelief) abased and degraded. In the world, shirk (polytheism) and kufr (disbelief) are abased, degraded. In the next world, their abode is only jahannam (hell). They have been abased, and they will be abased for eternity.

Islam, the Quran, and Muhammad came from Allah to save humankind from shirk (polytheism), hypocrisy (nifaq), injustice (zulm), and all that is evil. It came to give you life, and to prepare you to the immortal life. When we look into the 3rd verse of Surah al-Maidah [5], we can see what gives you life, how Almighty Islam perfected Islam and completed the blessing, and how Allah chose Islam as religion (din) for you, and whatever harams is there in life that bring harm to you are stated there. This also opens you a door of permit (ruhsat) when you are in hardship and trouble. Make your lineage and all humanity follow these lessons of life-giving light (nūr) of Al-Quran Al-Karim. Understand Islam and Al-Quran Al-Karim well, and explain it well, convey its meaning to your soul, and encompass your soul with the light (nūr) of Al-Quran Al-Karim, and try to be a servant (qul) at the command of Allah. With that said you should begin your affairs by reciting kalimat al-tawhid.

Hodja recites kalimat al-tawhid.

La ilaha illallah – there is no god but Allah. There hasn’t been any, for Allah has no partners, no equals, no peers ever, and will never have. Muhammad ar rasulullah – which means that Hz. Muhammad has been sent as a mercy upon all the worlds (alamin). Allah sent him, and he is a servant (qul) and Messenger. He is a Prophet sent to all the worlds, all nations, and all eras. See, he walked towards the Real (al-Haqq) in the year 632. Hz. Muhammad honoured the world in the year 571 in Mecca. The entire universe became a recipient of Allah’s manifestation of mercy (rahmat). Allah manifested with beginningless and endless mercy to all the worlds with him, and settled the whole of Islam and Al-Quran Al-Karim to the heart of Hz. Muhammad. Hz. Muhammad is the living Islam, and the book and source of Islam is Al-Quran Al-Karim. From then on until eternity, the excellent example and pioneer of the true religion and creed is Hz. Muhammad (asw). This excellence and being the example has been given to Hz. Muhammad (asw). The excellent example and pioneer of the true religion and creed is Hz. Muhammad. These came together in him. Excellence, being an example, being the pioneer, and all qualities that should be in the complete person are present in Hz. Muhammad (asw). He is al-Insān al-Kāmil (the complete person).

Time Stamp: 15:10

After him comes other prophets, and then comes the truthful (siddiq), martyrs, and the pious (saleh); this is the protocol. Janâb-i Haqq sent Beloved Muhammad as a Prophet of Mercy upon the worlds (alamin). All mysteries of guidance (hidayat) have been incorporated in Al-Quran Al-Karim. Pay attention to that! All mysteries of guidance (hidayat) have been incorporated in Al-Quran Al-Karim. As for all decrees and sovereignty, they are with Allah. There has never been and will never be anyone who possesses decree and sovereignty. All decrees belong to Almighty Allah, who is sovereign by Allah’s own decrees. There is no other absolute ruler and all-able (muqtadir) ruler besides Allah. The one who inserts provisions is only Allah. Islam is the decrees of Allah, the law (huquq) of Allah, and the supremacy of the law (huquq) of Allah. The religion (din) of Islam is superhuman. Allah’s law (huquq), and the supremacy of that exalted law (huquq) is the order of Allah, and as a whole Islam is the laws of Allah. As for its constitution, it is Al-Quran Al-Karim. Those who establish and settle this on earth are Hz. Muhammad and his companions (ashab), and among them helpers (ansar) and early Muslims (muhajirun), followed by other true Muslims and mujtahids.

The heaven and the earth, and all the worlds should know the following. Those who have always known and will always known have this knowledge, but those who don’t know should also learn.

Hodja recites the original text of the following prayer.

“Islam is always exalted, eternally lofty, and always rises. There is nothing that can rise above it.” Memorize this and do not forget!

Hodja recites the original text of the prayer.

Islam is always exalted, lofty, and always rises.”

Islam raises whomsoever holds fast to it, ascends them to the Arsh (the Throne), and to janna (paradise), and conveys them to the jamal (beauty) of Allah. You see, this is how wuslat or ultimate union is. In order to reach the ultimate union (wuslat), you need to adhere strictly to all commands and rules of Islam. People cannot reach the ultimate union (wuslat) by doing nothing, and one should not go on a journey with blind folks. But which type of blindness are we referring to? We are referring to people with blind hearts, and other blind folks are not considered truly blind. Those who lack iman (faith) in their hearts, who lack ilm (knowledge), who lack irfan (wisdom), who adhere to bigotry and ignorance, they have blind hearts, and one should not go on a journey with these people.

Rather, travel with those who know Islam and the Quran, who take on journey to these two often. Hz. Muhammad roamed about seven layers of the heavens in miʿraj (the night journey) and came back. Do not forget that there are Hz. Muhammad’s footsteps in Arsh al-Ala. It is Hz. Muhammad who roamed about in the seven layers of the heavens, who roamed about in all the worlds, who watched the Beauty of the Divine (Jamal al-Ilahi), who has footsteps on Arsh al-Ala.

Time Stamp: 20:10

His companions and friends are the distinguished sahabah (ashab al-ghuzin). That is those early Muslims (muhajirun), the helpers (ansar), and the distinguished sahabah (ashab al-ghuzin), and the companions (ashab), and then the Tabi’in; this is the wholesome way of Ahlus-Sunnah wa’l-Jama’ah which came to us. One should act with knowledge (ilm) and learning (irfan), and ascend with Islam. Islam continuously ascends and raises a person. It exalts, for it is exalted. That is why there cannot be anything that can rise above Islam, for it is divine. Islam is above human and above nature, it is divine. Islam is the laws of Allah. Islam is the order established by Allah. Almighty Allah established Islam on earth by the hand of Muhammad and the believers (mu’min). With that said, it is intact, its written verses (kitābi ayat) along with its decrees and laws are in Al-Quran Al-Karim, sunnah (customs), ijma (consensus), and qiyas (analogy). Islam shall continue to exist until Last Day with these essential proofs. Nobody should extinguish his iman (faith), and nobody can extinguish Islam. The only thing people can extinguish is their own iman (iman), and die as a kāfir (disbeliever), which would be a shame. Islam came to shed light in the hearts. Islam came to brighten the light (nūr) in the hearts, and came to save all humanity. Islam is the mercy (rahmat) of Allah that embraces all humanity. Those who wish to portray it as something else themselves have charred hearts, and they are people whose brains are imprisoned in dungeons. Islam came to save them as well.

Beloved friends.

Hodja recites a hadith-i sharif.

Do not forget this! This is a hadith-i sharif uttered by Hz. Muhammad narrated by Bukhari Sharif. Al-Quran Al-Karim verifies this, and he verifies the verses of the Quran. With that said, the verses of the Quran are explained (tafsir) with the Quran. Then again, the Quran can be explained (tafsir) with the hadith-i sharifs and Muhammad. There are noble âlims of that, and those noble âlims of ours are pathfinders in regards to riwayat (narration) and dirayat (comprehension). That is why other beliefs, non-true beliefs that are not religions all bring humanity to ruin. Other religions are equal to irreligion, and they bring people to ruin, making them worship others beside Allah. They make people abandon the decrees (hukm) of Allah. Instead of the command of Allah, they show others to you as though they are lords (rabb). They portray the commands of others as though they are from Allah, as though they are command of the Rabb (Lord). What are all non-true religions? They degrade you, bring you to ruin, and they are the bane of humanity. With that said, Islam rises people. Allah is one, and so is the right faith.

Hodja recites a part of the 19th verse of Surah Ali Imran [3].

Do not ever forget this verse throughout your life, and memorize it! What are those who are Muslims but lag behind? See, they became Muslims, but they lag behind, why? Let me tell you why. Those who lag behind even though they are members of Islam are those who have resemblance to others, who imitate others.

Time Stamp: 25:00

Those who don’t hold fast to Islam accept Islam as the right faith, but they try to look like others, and they don’t do what Islam says, and they don’t embrace Islam. Now, it is not enough to say your religion is Islam. They say, “Islam is my religion,” with their tongues, and they say, “la ilaha illallah – there is no god but Allah,” and they say, “Muhammad ar-rasulullah – and Muhammad is the Messenger.”

Hodja recites kalimat al-tawhid.

However, if you look at their livelihood, they worship someone else without realizing, why? This is because they don’t hold fast to Islam. They don’t look like a Muslim. Their livelihood does not resemble, their words and conversations don’t resemble, their deeds don’t resemble, their morals don’t resemble; they couldn’t take their share of the knowledge (ilm) and learning (irfan) of Islam, and they don’t want to take it, but they call themselves Muslim. These are grovelling mentalities. These are the backward, bigot, and primitive mentality. What is the connection between them and Islam? They gave up obeying the Real (al-Haqq) and did the opposite of the command. Now, who is a Muslim? That is, he who does what Allah says, follows the divine offers, provisions, and commands in the Quran one by one. You are to know these, believe this, live this, and do jihad in this way. One may do jihad at any given time, and all beneficial services that are done at any given hour are all jihad. This encompasses the bravery in the front, spreading knowledge and wisdom on earth, to spread (tabligh) the Quran to the world, and to educate and chasten the soul (nafs), which is actually among the greatest acts of jihad. Jihad with self (nafs) is jihad al-akbar, major jihad. As for fighting the enemy, it is jihad al-asgar – minor jihad. For one thing, you should turn yourself into a servant (qul) of Allah. Do not worship yourself, make yourself a servant (qul) of Allah. Submit you will to Allah, and to the principles of Allah. You should also know Islam in regards to knowledge (ilm), for then you will see the true beauty of it. They are grovelling because they abandon obedience to the Real (al-Haqq) and do the opposite of the command. The following is their example, they don’t even know this themselves, and they have apostasy (irtidad), they are fāsiq (depraved), and they have fisq (deprivation), but they don’t know. A mentality that neglects the commands and provisions of the Quran is murtadd (apostate), and it is in apostasy (irtidad), but do they know? They live irreligious lives, but they claim their religion is Islam. Here is fisq (deprivation), irtidad (apostasy), and irreligion. As long as they have these they will continue to grovel. They say they are Muslim but this does not mean anything. There is the affirmation of the whole of Islam in the heart of a Muslim, and there cannot be doubt therein. They hate kufr (disbelief), shirk (polytheism), and hypocrisy (nifaq) with every fibre of their being. They become faithful Muslims, and no two days of a Muslim is equal, they always excel in knowledge (ilm), excel in science, excel in wisdom (irfan), and they always know that they are in the presence of Allah, and that Allah sees them at all times. Muslim is a servant (qul) who lives at the command of Allah. A Muslim, whose two days are never equal, ascends to the arsh with Islam. As for those who claim to be Muslims but avoid the Quran, those who avoid Al-Quran Al-Karim, who avoid Muhammad Mustafa and his sunnah (customs), who avoid ijma al-ummah (community consensus), and the knowledge of real âlims and mujtahid âlims, who don’t know what qiyas al-fuqaha (analogical reasoning of jurists); they do not know about the original sources of Islam. As if that wasn’t enough, they also don’t go near it. This is the mentality that grovels everywhere, and this is the cause of staying behind.

Muslims are to be Muslims, and be saved through Islam, and work for the peace and tranquillity for all humanity, along with truth and justice. Islam is universal, and it is the religion of mercy of all humanity and all the worlds. Hz. Muhammad is the Prophet of Mercy, and Al-Quran Al-Karim is the guide of hidayat. What does Janâb-i Haqq say in the 264th and 258th verses of Surah al-Baqarah [2] and the 108th verse of Surah al-Maidah [5]? What does Janâb-i Haqq say in these two verses and similar verses? Says, “Allah does not guide the zalim (unjust), and fāsiq (flagrant sinner).” So, what is the remedy? The remedy is to renounce kufr (disbelief), and adopt iman (faith). Zalim has to renounce his zulm, and come to iman of Islam. Fāsiq is to renounce his fisq, and come to iman of Islam so that Allah may guide (hidayat) them. For all mysteries of guidance (hidayat) is in Al-Quran Al-Karim. So, is there a guidance (hidayat) by denying the Quran? Who is going to guide (irshad) when you deny Muhammad? Hz. Muhammad is the murshid (guide) of all the worlds, and it is he who guides (irshad). Al-Quran Al-Karim is also the book of guidance, and it is Allah (c.c.) who personally guided Hz Muhammad. Allah placed Al-Quran Al-Karim into Muhammad’s heart, and explained him the exegesis of the Quran, and sent down its meaning and decree to Muhammad’s heart. With that said, Jibril (a.s.) is only an intermediary in this regard. See the 83rd verse of Surah Ali Imran [3] where Janâb-i Haqq says, “Are you seeking another religion?” There is no other religion. Allah is one, and so is the right faith, which is Islam. Islam is the religion of all prophets. Islam is the religion of Allah, and thus it is the religion of all prophets. Since the creation of humankind, from Adam until Last Day, the only religion (din) of humankind has been Islam. Started with Adam, and through Seth, Idris and other prophets it came to Hz. Muhammad. It goes towards Last Day (qiyamah) with Hz. Muhammad. Janâb-i Haqq renewed the entire past from time to time, and in the end renewed it with Muhammad and the Quran. I repeat this so that everybody may know this matter well. Janâb-i Haqq says i-f-k, says, “causes of lie and slander.” See, there are groups of liars who withhold this true religion from humanity, who misrepresent this true religion to people, who portray false religions as if they are religions, these lying groups are called, “af fakül esim.” This is a mentality that says a lot of lies and commits a lot of sins, and they are slanderers. They slandered Isa, Musa, Bible, Torah, Muhammad, Allah, and many other prophets. There is a blood-thirsty, slandering, lying, and impostor group in the world. They have been present, and there is a prophet-killing mentality. This mentality is still active in the world today. It existed yesterday and before, it exists today, and it will exist tomorrow. The world is a test field, and the fight between right and wrong may continue, but Islam is nothing but peace and justice. The exaltedness of the law (huquq) of the Real (al-Haqq) is completely with Islam.

That is why the truth is the ruler, and falsehood is the prisoner. Falsehood is doomed to be a prisoner, and to be destroyed. Now, we continue our lesson with discovery notes on the 34th and 35th verses along with the 36th verse of Surah al-Tawbah [9]. “This is the decree on true calendar,” and we have given you the meaning of this in the 36th verse. For example, the 217th verse talks about waging war in sacred months. So, what is said about waging war in sacred months in this verse of the Quran? It is called a major sin. It has been explained that 3 of these sacred months are sert and one of them is fert. In the farewell pilgrimage, our Prophet said every year consist of 12 months, and four of them are sacred months, three of them come after one another, which are Dhu al-Qa’dah, Dhu al-Hijjah, and Muharram. One of them is Rajab of Bani Mudar, and that month is between months of Jumada al-Thani and Sha’ban. Abrogation (naskh) has been lifted, and it got into its period in creation. Even the pilgrimage (hajj) of Hz. Abu Bakr was done in Dhu al-Qadah by taking it as Dhu al-Hijjah.

What is right is not to change the places of months, but to follow the months as is due, in the correct manner, according to the creation. Our Prophet said, “This is the truth,” and he said, “This is a law (sharia).” And the idolater mindset had changed the places of the months through abrogation (naskh).

And their false (batil) applications have been abrogated by our Prophet, and the decree of the sharia (law) of Islam has been established in this matter as well. All false (batil) applications have been removed, and these were called customs of jahiliyyah. Today, in certain places these customs of jahiliyyah continue to exist. Besides, the mindset that disacknowledges the Real (al-Haqq) is like that. Every era has its own jahiliyyah mindset. Those who live outside the truth (haqq), the law (huquq), and supremacy of law (huquq), and the mindset that disacknowledge the Real (al-Haqq) lives the Jahiliyyah Period in every era, and they are living it. We see these realities in the 12th verse of Surah al-Isra [17].

In sacred months, one wouldn’t attack even if they encountered the murderer of one’s father or brother. One wouldn’t even say a bad word. Commands came from Janâb-i Haqq, saying don’t consider haram halal through fabricated calculations. See, one wouldn’t say anything to his father’s murderer in those four months, but after they end, they disacknowledge rights and remedies in the world, and they disacknowledge religion or faith. What does Islam say? One can neither take the life of a person unjustly at any given time, nor can one pick a leaf or grass, nor can one do an inappropriate action. Everything in Islam is according to the standards of rights and justice, based on benefit, based on divine standards. Islam is not a standard brought forth by some people. It is the jurisprudence (huquq), and true laws of Almighty Allah.

Those who take people’s money and wealth and pile up fortunes, along with those who forbid people from the religion (din) of Islam that is true and upright; what were they doing back then? They would forbid people from the Torah and the Bible. They would forbid people from the truths that Isa (Jesus) and Musa (Moses) brought forth, and today, the same mindset forbids people from the way of Islam, the Quran, and Muhammad. The 34th verse points to that, and explains this reality. These are the people who forbid people from Al-Quran Al-Karim, the way of Allah, and the truth and reality. Al-Quran Al-Karim as a whole is Allah’s book, Allah’s utterances; it is kalamullah. Whoever forbids people from it will pay the heaviest price to Allah. That is why Islam is but utter justice, and utter mercy, and it is the beginningless and endless mercy (rahmat) that is manifested by Allah. See the 7th verse of Surah al-Hashr [59], and see what is said to those who accumulate wealth without spending it in the way of Allah, and those who spend their wealth in order to deviate people from truth and reality.

Hodja recites the 7th verse of Surah al-Hashr [59].

Let there not be a bounty, state, and power that only go circulate between the rich.

Do you see? It is said that fortunes, bounties, and states should not circulate among a few rich people. That is, Almighty Allah has a just and fair distribution, and there should be a just distribution among society in regards to these. It is said that money should circulate between the entire society. That is what Exalted Quran said. Money, wealth, and state should circulate among society, and don’t let these circulate among a few rich people. One should prefer important things over unimportant things, and money should be spent in a good, just, and fair manner. Those who accumulate wealth and devour it turn money into something invaluable. As for who don’t pay zakat (poor-dues), who withhold it, or waste it extravagantly; this wealth will turn into fire and burn them. See the 34th verse for yourself! A fight of justice is commanded against them through rights (huquq) and supremacy of rights (huquq), a fight through law (huquq) is commanded. See the 35th verse! The 36th verse says that unjust fights are always haram, and in Islam if a someone kills a someone unjustly is as though he had killed the whole of humankind. As for saving a life, it is like saving the lives of the whole of humankind. These are from Almighty Allah, open up Surah al-Maidah [5] and see for yourself! Unjust wars are always haram. Wars that are not for the sake of peace, truth, and justice, which are not done in the way of Allah are never rightful wars, and they are haram. When these are violated, fight them altogether in order to keep haram as haram. If people’s rights are being violated and devoured, you are to protect their rights. As for keeping haram as haram, if something is haram you are to protect its haramness, and if something is halal then you are to protect its halalness, and it is said that you should fight altogether against the zalimun (unjust) who disacknowledge rights and remedies, and fight for Allah. This is not limited to time and space; the biggest danger is to abandon or delay this jihad. See the 217th verse of Surah al-Baqarah [2].

The zalim and their zulm are not to be given any opportunity, because if the zalim becomes predominant with his zulm, then woe to humankind!

Editor’s note: Zalim means wrongdoer, transgressor, and unjust. Zulm is their action of wrongdoing, transgression, and injustice.

Fitnah is a worse bane than war. This is an expression of Al-Quran Al-Karim. Do not let them destroy respect. If something is haram, then preserve its haramness. Do not give opportunity to those who wish to abolish a haram by another haram. Harams should be harams, and whatever Allah calls haram is haram, whatever Allah calls halal is halal. You are to accept haram as haram, and halal as halal. Besides, there is harm in all harams, and benefit in all halals. Islam is a religion (din) is one a method that bids what is beneficial and forbids what is harmful. Then again, the 195th verse of Surah al-Baqarah [2] says, “Do not cast yourselves into danger with your own hands.”

Hodja recites a part of the 195th verse of Surah al-Baqarah [2].

“Do not cast yourselves into danger with your own hands.”

There are unjust killings, and as long as they continue to fight against injustice, zulm, and zalimun altogether. Fight the murderers who slaughter humankind and those who disrupt the peace, fight in the way of Allah for peace and real justice. Fight those who disbelieve in Allah and the afterlife (ākhira) as it becomes necessary. See, because Islam and iman (faith) is peace, you should fight for that also. Always fight against those who disbelieve in Allah and the afterlife (ākhira) as it becomes necessary. As for unjust killings, it is always forbidden. It is also said that unless they attack, you should not fight in sacred months and in Haram al-Shareef.
