Most valuable and venerable friends,

We are continuing to conveying discovery notes from Al-Imam Al-Azam work Al-Fiqh Al-Akbar. Al-Imam Al-Azam is a grand figure who enlightened the world with his wisdom, (Rahmetullahi Aleyh ve Aleyhim ecmain), we are commemorating him and our other Islamic scholars with prayers. We are appreciating benevolent researches that are carried with a conscience. Countless thanks and praises to our Almighty Lord. Hodja prays in Arabic: “Allahumme lekel hamd-ü küllü velekel mülkü küllü ve biyedikel hayr-ü küllü ve ileyke yûrceûl emrû küllü âlâ niyetühü ve sirruh. Fe’ehlen ente entuhmete inneke âlâ külli şey’in kadîr. Allahümme salli ve sellim ve barik âlâ seyidina ve nebiyyina Muhammed ve âlâ ali Muhammed bi’adedi ılmi”.

Valuable friends,

Our lesson continues with the subject of having faith in the books. We will be conveying discovery notes on the fundamental principles of iman (faith). And after that, we will explain these notes to you, via Almighty Lord’s help and favor; InshaAllah. And we will be doing that for the greater good of humanity. Our goal is to seek Allah’s consent and be a subject to Him. We have no other goal. The meaning of the phrase ‘believing in the books’, is this, they must be strongly acknowledged that the books are Allah’s words. There are many books in the world. The ones we can have faith in are only Allah’s books. Foremost amongst them, is the one that in its existence is the leader and the protector, that renewed the past, and it collected eternal scholarly documents in it, let’s start with Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. Al-Quran Al-Karim is conveyed to this day and to us, without any doubt, it was not changed in any way or disrupted and it will continue to stay unchanged forever and ever. That is a guarantee given by Almighty Allah Himself. Regarding that topic, we have given you discovery notes and warnings from the entire Al-Quran Al-Karim in our previous lessons. May Almighty Lord place us among your servants who reach maturity and follow the righteous path. Therefore, one must undoubtedly acknowledge that these books are Allah’s (c.c.) words. Al-Quran Al-Karim is Allah’s book. You shall acknowledge it is Allah’s book without any doubt and hesitation. All divine books are like that, too. The number of books sent to Prophets, as books and scriptures, are conveyed to us as 104. Friends, as there are books, there are also scriptures. We have believed in every book of Almighty Allah that He sent to the Prophets. We have undoubtedly believed in all attributes of Almighty Allah, all His names which are glorious, His infinite exaltedness, and that His wisdom sieged everything, most certainly we have believed. We are saying, “Âmentü ve Sâddaktû,” which roughly means “We have believed in the rules of Islam.” We are not saying that we will someday believe. We are saying “We have most definitely believed in.” And we will continue to say so. The names of the Prophets who were given books, and the number of those books is as follows: 10 scriptures to Adam Alayhissalam, 50 scriptures to Seth Alayhissalam, 30 to Idris Alayhissalam, 10 scriptures to Abraham Alayhissalam. What we see here are 100 scriptures. We have most certainly believed that all of these are Allah’s books and that these are divine messages sent to the individuals whose prophethood is certain; these are divine books and divine scriptures, we have most certainly believed that. This is one of the five basic rules of faith in Islam. Now, about the Four Islamic Holy Books. Tawrat al-Sharif (Glorious Torah) was sent to Musa Alayhissalam. Now, which Torah are we talking about? We are talking about the original Torah which was given to Musa, the one that is Allah’s book. We are not referring to the books that people rendered toy by writing and erasing things. Those books do not suit Allah Ta’ala’s glory. They do not suit Musa’s either. We are talking about the real Torah which is in Allah’s presence. Not the one that is distorted; we are talking about the true Torah that is given to Musa. We are referring to the Torah that has the Al-Qur’an Al-Karim’s approval, the Torah that is the protector and the pioneer. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim approves the true divine books and is their protector; gathers them under his protection. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim rejects everything that contradicts the Torah. For one thing, to comply with Torah, at first Al-Quran Al-Karim must approve it. Why is that? Because Torah is Allah’s book, just like Al-Quran Al-Karim is. Can there be a situation where there are statements contradicting each other in Allah’s books? There can’t be a controversy between Musa and Muhammad either, for they are true Prophets sent by Allah (c.c.). Can there be anything other than brotherhood among them? Anything other than unity?

Musa heralded Muhammad’s arrival. Torah also heralded that Al-Qur’an Al-Karim will descend and Muhammad will arrive. This situation is called “Chain of Prophets.” All of them heralded the arrival of the next Prophet, they heralded Muhammad’s coming. There are unity and integrity in Allah’s books and Allah’s Prophets. Aren’t there the ones who divide and shatter the humanity! They are against Musa. They are against the Torah, too. They are already against Qur’an. They against the Bible and Isa, too. Why? Can one make a distinction amongst the Prophets Allah Ta’ala sent? Whatever Allah (c.c.) says is true, and following His words is the righteous path.

(Dakika: 9:58)

So, Allah (c.c.) sent the Torah to Musa Alayhissalam, The Psalms to David Alayhissalam, The Bible to Isa Alayhissalam, and Al-Qur’an Al-Karim to our Leader Muhammad Mustafa (s.a.v). All of those books are Allah’s, we have believed in that. Hodja speaking in Arabic: “Âmentü billahi ve melâiketihi ve kütübihi,” roughly means, “We have believed in your books.” And InshaAllah our lesson shall continue. Dear friends, there are two requirements for a book to be Allah’s book. In Al-Qur’an Al-Karim there are mentioned books, scriptures and divine books mentioned as Psalm. There are two requirements for them to attain the rank of divinity so that they can be counted amongst the books which the believers have to believe. So that means, it is a requirement to believe in them when they fulfilled the requirements. What are they? The first requirement is this, the book must rely on divine revelation. In order to call the book you are holding the Torah, it must be an untouched divine revelation. It must not be a distorted and changed book. It has to based on divine revelation. We have faith in the Torah that is based on divine revelation, the one in the presence of Allah. We do not believe in the distorted and manipulated ones. The second requirement is the following: Allah’s word, that is based on divine revelation must be known via the way of Tawatur (the reports that are so widespread that their authenticity is valid), and it must be conveyed to you without distortion. That conveyance must be bound to Tawatur, too. That report, registry or sanad must be at the level of Tawatur. Today’s Torah’s, Bible’s have nothing in common. They have no correlation with Tawatur. We believe in the true Torah and Bible in possession of Allah. You don’t have to have faith in the books that are not protected via the way of Tawatur, distorted, and manipulated by people. You have to have faith in the divine books that are in possession of Allah, the true books which He conveyed to His messengers. You have to have faith in the true and divine Torah, true Bible, for they are under Al-Qur’an Al-Karim’s protection. Because Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is the last divine book. The second requirement, “Allah’s word must be known via the way of Tawatur, and it must be conveyed to our time without,” pay attention now, “being distorted or changed.” Look, the Torah couldn’t be protected, it wasn’t conveyed to us in its original form. It doesn’t have Tawatur Sanad (legitimacy). Same goes for the Bible and the Psalm, too. But there are many ayahs (verses) and surahs which are not present in the true Torah, the true Bible or the true scriptures that are under Al-Qur’an Al-Karim’s protection, but they are present in the Al-Qur’an Al-Karim that was given to Muhammad (s.a.v). Al-Qur’an Al-Karim both renewed the past and took it under its protection, it is musaddık and muheymin. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim also possesses the documents of the future in itself. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim informs us about the haqq (true) books that we have to believe in. The number of Allah’s Messengers are more than the number announced in Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. There have been many Prophets and we acknowledge the prophethood of each and every one of them. We acknowledge each and every one of true divine books. But we don’t believe in the ones that are distorted and manipulated, and betrayed. They didn’t protect the Torah, they betrayed it. They didn’t protect the Bible, for there are a lot of them, many of them contradict one another. Fourteen centuries passed since the day Al-Qur’an Al-Karim was revealed, not a single dot is changed, there won’t be any changes in the future too. It will eternally stay the same. Why? Because it is the last divine book.

So, dear friends,

If you are searching for the true Bible, it is present in Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. Indeed it is the Al-Qur’an Al-Karim which protects it. All Prophet’s are in Islam’s fundamentals (amantu). All divine books are present in Islam’s fundamentals (amantu). Unity, integrity, brotherhood, peace and the true basis these concepts rely on is the haqq iman (faith), and universal iman (faith) which is the body of Islam. Those are Islam’s core. You want to neglect them, be their enemy, and destroy the brotherhood in the world, divide and shatter the humanity, polarize the humanity, speak ill about peace, and you want the strong to tyrannize the weak so you can keep shedding blood, and you want to call that “piety”, right? Your endeavors are fruitless as you deny the Haqq (The Truth). We should speak the truth, acknowledge it, and let the truth be our core value (amantu). Without the true iman (faith), no one can enter Paradise.

Now, dear friends,

Tawrat al-Sharif (Glorious Torah) is a glorious book that was given to Musa (Moses), and it is unchanged in the presence of Allah. We are talking about the unchanged, haqq (true) book that is under Allah’s protection. Not the ones that are left unprotected or the ones that are distorted. We’re referring to the Torah that Al-Qur’an Al-Karim announces and keeps under its protection. Now, look, the book that was revealed to Musa Alayhissalam is the “Tawrat al-Sharif,” (Torah the Glorious). The name that has the meaning of “instruction” and “sharia.” Its name in the Al-Kitab al-Muqaddas (Holy Bible) that is acknowledged by the Christians is Ahd al-Atik. In the healthy times of Musa Alayhissalam, people did their deeds according to this book. Besides, that book is peculiar to the Period of Musa. But it couldn’t be protected, they filed to protect it. Because most of the 24 Jewish rulers left Musa Alayhissalam’s din (religion). Look, there were 24 Jewish rulers, and most of them left Musa Alayhissalam’s din (religion). The enslavement and disasters the Jews went through led to the oblivion of the Torah. According to a narration, it stayed forgotten until the year 622 BC, but then a priest named Azra compiled the Torah. That three widely known versions of the Torah that was compiled are in Hebrew, Samiri, and Greek. And they are not similar to one another. There were not three Torahs. Allah only sent one Torah. Look, they made three versions and they are not even similar. Because they weren’t protected. Even The Five Books of Moses that people attributed to Musa (Moses) narrates Musa Alaihissalam death.

(Dakika: 19:55)

Now, the Torah wasn’t protected. And on top of that, most of the 24 Jewish rulers left Musa’s din (religion). Now, the Bible, in other words, the book called ‘Ahd-i Cedid’ that is in the Al-Kitab al-Muqaddas (Holy Bible), means “Annunciation and instruction” and it is widely known that they started writing it on paper 50 to 100 years after Isa (Jesus) Alayhissalam’s death. Look, they started writing it 50 to 100 years after Isa’s death, or after Almighty Allah saved him from the crucifixion; so Isa is no longer present in the world. Look, it is stated that they began writing it on paper after 50 to 100 years. But just like the original scriptures are missing, throughout many centuries hundreds of different versions of the Bible, ‘hundreds of different versions’ were manifested by the people. The situation of hundreds of different versions of the Bible being manifested led to a statement being announced by the First Council of Nicaea to declare Isa Alayhissalam’s divinity, namely, they declared him – Allah (c.c.) forbid! – Allah. The true bible didn’t have a similar sort of information. Look, Isa Alayhissalam never said a thing like that, too. Behold what the Bible went through! The way they betrayed the Bible! They way they betrayed Isa! The a The First Council of Nicaea declared Isa Alaihissalam as – Allah forbid – a divine entity and they acknowledged 4 copies as backings of his divinity. Allah sent one Bible. Now, there is four, and all of them contradict one another. The other versions were destroyed by force. They destroyed the other copies, and they did that by force, imposition, and enforcement. If they had not destroyed them we could search for instances of Biblical verses, and maybe find a few original. So, why did they destroy the other copies? They picked the ones they liked. And they wrote the rest of the Biblical verses that did not match with their desires into a different version of the Bible. In it, there could be true and false verses alike. If they wanted, they could pick the original verses and leave the false ones. But the ones that may include the original verses were destroyed by force.

So, dear friends,

There are also many tezat among the four canonical versions of the Bible called “Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.” What is “Tezat”, you ask? Tezat means contradiction. Can there be contradictions among Allah’s books? Behold what the Bible went through! It was not protected.

Dear friends,

Even though there had been pieces from the original among the versions of the Al-Kitab al-Muqaddas (Holy Bible), they were all rendered invalid by Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. The next book renders the previous ones invalid and removes their verdicts. Allah (c.c.) does that Himself. Can you say, “Why are you doing that?” to Allah (c.c.)? For example, when the Bible was sent, some verdicts of the Torah were removed. And, lastly, Al-Qur’an Al-Karim renewed the entirety of the verdicts of the past, removed their authority. Almighty Allah (c.c.) manifested a new Islamic Sharia via Al-Qur’an Al-Karim and Prophet Muhammad (s.a.v). Allah (c.c.) renewed the past. No one except for Almighty Allah Himself can implement such change. Allah (c.c.) is the One Who renders the previous verdicts invalid via new divine verdicts. Only Allah (c.c.) can renew the past. Allah is the Şâri. Now, what does Şâri mean? Allah Ta’ala is Şâri, in other words, Allah manifests the sharia. No one else can manifest sharia. The last sharia that is manifested is the newest and it renders the past invalid, we are talking about the Islamic sharia that arrived with Prophet Muhammad (s.a.v). Pay attention, what did the Glorious Qur’an that is the book we believe in did to that past? It rendered it invalid. For the past verdicts are now invalid, it is not possible to count the past books amongst the reliable. For the past books weren’t protected but manipulated and destroyed. We only put our faith in the safeguarded books that are in the presence of Allah (c.c.). You don’t have to put your faith in the unprotected, disrupted and destroyed books. How can one put their faith in manipulated books?  We believe that Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is the truth and the protector. We believe in the true Torah which was heralded by Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. We believe in the Torah that is mentioned in the Qur’an. Same goes for the Bible, too. The true Bible that is in the presence of Allah (c.c.) is protected by Al-Qur’an Al-Karim, too. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is the believer, the protector and the evidential document for the Bible. The Qur’an does not approve the false, it approves the truth. Today, in the world, there are many falsehoods rejected by Al-Qur’an Al-Karim that does not suit the Bible, the Torah, Isa, and Musa. When you attribute these falsehoods to Isa, Musa, the Torah, or the Bible, then you are slandering the Bible and the Torah with your act. That is a slander to Allah (c.c.), Musa and Isa, too. Save yourself, and the ones you dragged into falsehoods from that mistake. Let’s speak the truth and be beneficial to the world. Now, let me speak briefly about Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim came down from the heaven to the last Prophet Muhammad (s.a.v) by Allah (c.c.) via Gabriel, and it is a divine book that is conveyed by means of Tawatur. It is the sole divine book of the world. It was conveyed by means of Tawatur, so it is protected. It has no chance of being distorted. The Qur’an is not distorted and will never be. The Qur’an composes of 144 sections (surah). There are 144 Surahs in Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. When you acknowledge the longest verses in the divine book as two ayahs (verses) then it starts with Al-Fatihah (The Opener) and ends with An-Nas (The Mankind). There can’t be any alterations to the Qur’an. But there are people who acknowledge the longest verse as two verses. The only change there can be is the number of ayahs (verses). There can’t be any alterations to its core, even slightest alteration, subtraction, or increment of its single letter is not possible. It contains more than 6000 or so ayat (verses). Why are we saying, “6000 or so”? Because, the number may change when you acknowledge a long verse as ‘one verse’, or as a few verses but there wouldn’t be any alterations to the core of Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. Now, the poor souls that can’t comprehend what we’ve just told reckon some long ayahs (verses) as two or so, and when the number of verses comes up to, for example, 6666 or some different number, they suppose that is a different version of the Qur’an. They are ignorant people whose minds are rotten. There are no subtractions or changes in Al-Quran Al-Karim’s core, neither to the number of verses nor to the core meaning. You may acknowledge long verses as one or two when counting them, but that verse will not be affected in any way. When you accept a long verse as two verses then you are only counting two verses rather than one, that is it, pure and simple. Does that make any alterations to the Qur’an’s core? No, it doesn’t.

(Dakika: 30:06)

Hence, for more than fourteen centuries there has not been any alteration, or changes in a single dot, or a single character of Al- Qur’an Al-Karim. One can not subtract a single word from the Qur’an, or add one to it. There are miraculous aspects of that situation. There is Allah’s (c.c.) protection, due to the Qur’an being the last divine book. Allah (c.c.) keeps the Qur’an under His protection. Also, the Qur’an is present in the hearts and memories of the Muslims, they know it by heart. Each and every one of the Qur’ans that are recited in the east and the west of the world are the same. There are no different ones. The only difference is in people’s minds who don’t understand Al-Qur’an Al-Karim truly. And for that, the companions have learned Al-Qur’an Al-Karim from Muhammad, in the truest way. (Radîyallahu anhüm ve erdahüm ecmain.) (Salli ve sellem ve barik âlâ Muhammed ve âlâ ali Muhammed). The Tabi’un also learned well from the companions. And our mujtahid scholars (âlims) protected the way of Ahl as-sunnat wa-ljamâ’at. (the people of sunnah and the community) and conveyed it to this day. There is no deterioration in Islam. Only the people deteriorate. The chances of Islam being deteriorated is eternally not present. For that, let us understand Al-Qur’an Al-Karim truly. O, the world! O, the realm of humanity! You can’t find the truth without truly understanding Allah (c.c.), Muhammad (s.a.v), and Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. Now, each of the verses and their arrangements is established by means of Tawatur. In other words, all of the verses in Al-Qur’an Al-Karim, whether they are long or short are conveyed via Tawatur. They have the legitimacy (sanad) of Tawatur. The Ijma of every century were conveyed to this day by being protected in the hearts of the Islamic community, it will continue to be so. The true guardian of the Qur’an is Almighty Allah Himself. For it is the last book it has no chance of being altered. That is the book of guidance and rahmat (blessing) that will lead humanity to their eternal salvation. The Qur’an is for the salvation of humanity. The humanity advances in science and discovers that the science is within Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. Besides, as the world will discover the books about existence in the universe they will learn that the Qur’an is the true divine book, Muhammad is the true Prophet, Islam is the true din (religion); they will learn that also via science. As the science advances, it will get closer to the truths Al-Qur’an Al-Karim manifested fourteen centuries ago. People have been approaching the Qur’an for fourteen centuries, and humanity shall get closer to it as time passes. The world is fourteen centuries behind of Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. The world is the children of the Qur’an. The world should advance in science. As the discoveries and the science advance the Qur’an is the true divine book and Muhammad (s.a.v) being the true Prophet will be revealed to humanity in a form that is much brighter than the sun; it is now revealed too. That truth is brighter than the sun for the believers. And I am saying this for the unbelievers, they shall see that truth, too. Who said the afore saying? Almighty Allah (c.c.) Himself, “Sen’ü rihim ayatînâ fil âfakî ve fi enfüsihim,” and “Hattâ yetebeyyenelehûm e’nehûl Hakk,” He said. Almighty Allah said so in Fussilat Surah, 53rd Ayah. The following is a rough translation of the above verse: “Indeed, we will show them our verses, both in the realm of heaven and the realm of the world,” He says. Humanity shall keep on discovering. As they discover, as the science advances they shall realize the Qur’an is the truth. They shall put their faith in the amantu (fundamentals) of Islam, and they shall become Muslims. For the entirety of humanity is servants of Allah (c.c.). Why shouldn’t they believe then? Aren’t we all servants of Allah (c.c.)? Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is Allah’s book. For example, let’s say you’ve acknowledged Allah (c.c.), but refused to believe in his book. That is not possible. Let’s say you refused His Messenger. That is also not possible. If you do, then how do you plan to avoid the punishment and the torture that Allah (c.c.) will give up on you? Let’s say you sent a messenger to another state. As you know, the states send each other messengers. Now, can there be an agreement, or friendship between two states if one slanders the messenger of the other? There can’t be. The act of refusing that messenger means declaring enmity towards that state. Prophet’s are Messengers of Allah. Muhammad (s.a.v) is the last Prophet. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is the last divine book. O, the realm of humanity! Do not fool yourselves. We are all servants of Allah (c.c.). When you refuse whichever command of Allah (c.c.), your iman (faith) starting from the part you’ve refused will be gone. And without iman (faith) you will die, you will arrive in the presence of Allah (c.c.). Do not do that. Do not do that evil to yourself. And do not recommend the evil you did to others. It would be a shame upon you and the ones you fooled.

So, dear friends,

In short, all verses (ayat) of the Al-Qur’an Al-Karim were conveyed to this day by means of Tawatur. Our Prophet conveyed it to us in the exact way Allah (c.c.) conveyed it to our Prophet. That is the duty of the Prophets. In the transfer, there is not a word that is missing, there is not an extra word, too. There is not a single extra or missing word in Al-Qur’an Al-Karim, too. It is just like the way Allah (c.c.) sent it. And it continued staying the same since the day Allah (c.c.) sent it. Al-Quran Al-Karim is Allah’s word, it is beginningless and infinite. Pay attention to this word. Al-Quran Al-Karim is Allah’s word, it is beginningless and infinite. Gabriel and Muhammad are just bearers. The Prophet and the Angel are just bearers. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is Allah’s book. The Prophet conveyed many verses (ayat) from Allah Ta’ala by means of Wahy, and they are all memorized and recited continuously by thousands of companions of that period. Editors note: “Wahy” is the Arabic word for “Revelation”. It means “the transportation of words from Allah to His Prophet, sometimes without a transporter, sometimes by Gabriel Alaihissalam”. Each and every one of the companions knew Al-Qur’an Al-Karim by heart. It was committed to paper by the selected scholars and wahy (revelation) clerks. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim was both memorized and committed to paper. They both compiled it and produced more books. Those were the same book, too. There was not even a slight alteration in any of them. Now, the verses (ayat) that were conveyed to Muhammad (s.a.v) by Allah Ta’ala by means of revelation (wahy) were all memorized and recited by thousands of companions. The Qur’an was committed to paper by exclusive scholars, namely revelation (wahy) clerks. This way Tawatur occurred. The Qur’an was conveyed by our Prophet (s.a.v) by means of Tawatur. And that Tawatur lasted until our time, via thousands and millions of people. Think of the Muslims of every century. No matter much Muslims were present in a century, they all conveyed the word of the Quran to the generations of the next century by means of Tawatur. And that way the Qur’an came to us, by means of Tawatur, of course. And onwards this day, it shall continue like that until the day of Qiyamah. Allah Ta’ala And Taqaddas (the Exalted and free from imperfections) have announced his word, commands, will, and wonders to our Prophet (s.a.v) directly and fully, sometimes by means of Gabriel Alayhissalam and sometimes by other means.

(Dakika: 40:08)

Pay attention now! And Allah (c.c.) commanded, and announced the truth to his Messenger. The Glorious Qur’an was sent down by Almighty Allah via Gabriel Alayhissalam to our Prophet. It is evident the Qur’an is the divine word. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is the highest rank of wahy (revelation). Our Prophet’s (s.a.v) announcement of Allah’s wahy (revelation) via Gabriel Alayhissalam happened on two Our Prophet’s (s.a.v) announcement of Allah’s revelation (wahy) via Gabriel Alaihissalam has occurred with two steps. First: Gabriel would pass from the angel form to human form and teach our Glorious Prophet the words of Almighty Allah, and place it into his heart. Gabriel Alayhissalam would sometimes arrive in human form. He would take a human form and visit our Prophet. Now, pay attention here. We must not forget that our Prophet is human. Sometimes, he would spiritually ascent into angel form to attend to Allah’s revelation (wahy). Almighty Allah would ascent him from humanely attributes into the form of an angel to directly reveal His words to him. Allah used to reveal His words to him by exalting him from humane traits to angelical traits. He would acknowledge the Elfâz-ı Kur’aniye. Editors note: That means the virtue and merit of Al-Qur’an Al-Karim itself. We call all words of the Divine ‘eflaz.’ Our Prophet would wait and with his patience the divine word would arrive to him. For that reason, not only Al-Qur’an Al-Karim’s meaning, but also the words of it (eflaz) were sent down into our Prophet’s heart, too. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim, with it’s meaning and eflaz (words), is Allah’s Kalam (word). For it was sent down as such. It penetrated into Prophet Muhammad’s (s.a.v) heart. The reason the Glorious Qur’an is called Vahy-i Metlûv (the recited Qur’an) is this. Therefore, The Glorious Qur’an is not complete with meaning only, it is a total of meaning and the words itself. In other words, the Qur’an consists of the words and their meanings. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is the that is ‘Karim’ and ‘Azimüşşan’. – Editors note: The first means ‘holy’ and the latter means ‘has endless glory.’ – Al-Qur’an Al-Karim wasn’t revealed to our Prophet as a whole, but as verse after verse, and surah after surah. Our Prophet (s.a.v) would recite the verses (ayat) and surah to his companions (sahabah) by his side. The sahabah would then memorize them on the order of our Prophet (s.a.v). At the same time, they would write them down somewhere. The Clerks had a special mission. Besides, there were other wahy (revelation) clerks other than them, too. But these clerks had one duty, that is to write down the verses (ayat) and surah that were revealed to our Prophet (s.a.v). The exclusive clerks who were assigned only to this mission used to write it down whenever Al-Quran Al-Karim were sent down to Muhammad’s heart, and the sahaba used to memorize them.

So, valuable friends,

The sahabah would write them down, too. There were other revelation (wahy) clerks, too. They had a single duty; to write down the ayah (verse) and surah that were sent down to our Prophet’s heart, do not forget that. The high truths Al-Qur’an Al-Karim withholds are fundamentally the following: Ahlak (morality), Aqidah (School), Ibadat (worship), Ijtima’iat (Islamic congregation), Muamalat (rules of transactions), Hudud (boundaries), blessings of Paradise, and torments of Hell, stories to derive a lesson, and occurrences. Al-Quran Al-Karim is a grand and eternal miracle in every aspect. The Qur’an is not amongst the miracles that fade away and become dim. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is an infinite miracle. All are helpless in the face of that miracle. It is also miraculous in utterances (lafz). There are some people who assert that the Qur’an is not Allah’s utterances but Muhammad’s Alayhissalam’s. Against them, Almighty Allah has been challenging the humanity for centuries by saying, “If those are words of a human, then utter such words yourself.” They could neither compose an equal of the Qur’an or disrupt it. They couldn’t manage to lessen its utterances or add new ones. Nobody couldn’t manage to alter a single character or a single dot of it. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim eternally challenges. For Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is an unmatchable miracle. Al-Isra Surah 88th Ayah: “If the entirety of the mankind and the jinn, all forces that are seen or unseen gathered and were each other’s helpers, they could not produce anything similar to this glorious Qur’an’s shortest surah, or line. They weren’t able to, and will not be able to.” Almighty Allah said that Himself, “Fe illemtef alû ve lem tef alû (ilâ âhir),” He said. Roughly means, “They could not produce anything similar to this glorious Qur’an’s shortest surah or line and you will not be able to until Qiyamah.” By saying that, Allah (c.c.) challenged them, and even though there were some who tried very hard to do, no one could accomplish that up to this day, and no one shall. No one can produce the likes of Al-Qur’an Al-Karim because it is Allah’s (c.c.) utterance; it has no equals or similars. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim has no equals or similars. It did not have similars. And it will not have. Yes, Allah Ta’ala (c.c.) wished Al-Qur’an Karim to stay undisturbed until the day of Qiyamah. He wished, He gave this miracle to the Glorious Qur’an, and since our Prophet (s.a.v) hundreds of thousands of Muslims memorized this divine book. In each Muslims heart is the Qur’an; because the namâz (prayer) is performed by uttering the Qur’an. People don’t perform namâz without the Quran. Some people have lesser memorization, some have plenty; and some know the Qur’an by heart. Those who recite or listen to Al-Qur’an Al-Karim experience a spiritual pleasure and taste. In short, Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is unique in every aspect and is a complete miracle. Because it is Allah’s utterance, Allah’s book. The Sahaba (companions) had written all verses (ayat) of the Glorious Qur’an in the period in which our Beloved Prophet was healthy. As each verse sent down to our Prophet’s heart, he would tell the order and place of the surahs to the revelation clerks. The orders of the surahs were revealed. They would write down accordingly. This way the Glorious Qur’an was completely committed to paper in our Prophet’s healthy times. And those sahabah (companions) are lucky. Those companions whose hearts shined brighter than the brightest stars memorized the Qur’an.

(Dakika: 50:15)

This way the Qur’an was conveyed and narrated by thousands of individuals. And there is this, these pages were not compiled. After our Prophet’s death, Abubakr gathered all hafizes (who know the Qur’an by heart) and all the written documents together, and revelation (wahy) clerks compiled Al-Qur’an Al-Karim’s pages together with the command of Abubakr (r.a.). Every verse of every surah was written down according to the scheme our Prophet (s.a.v) made them write; and that Qur’an was kept under protection. The original was kept under protection. All Muslims had memorized it anyway, and now there was a written document too. After that, in the period of Uthman’s Caliphate, they increased the number of that book, they printed it. Even though it was printed later, the Qur’an is the same Qur’an and takes its place in every shelf around the world, being the same Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. You can’t find any alterations, subtractions or extras in any character or word of it. It was conveyed as it was sent down by Allah (c.c.) and is under protection. It has no chance of being distorted. Yes, there haven’t been any distortion to its smallest utterance or neither they changed the place of a word. Indeed, two Al-Qur’an Al-Karim’s in the farthest regions of the world is the same. And that is indeed a miracle. Look, all copies of Al-Qur’an Al-Karim around the globe are the same. Can there be a greater miracle? Even though a few worlds gathered together they wouldn’t manage to disrupt Al-Quran Al-Karim. For none can defeat Allah Ta’ala. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is the last divine book under Allah’s (c.c.) protection. That is the savior of all humankind. For it was sent down for the entirety of the humankind. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim was sent down to protect the world peace, and brotherhood, social justice, and social state; and to individually, communely, globally, and universally protect both the living and the ecosystem. This world is the belonging of Allah (c.c.), not your father’s. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is Allah’s book. You can neither disrupt this universe nor stand against Al-Qur’an Al-Karim. The Qur’an, the universe and this nature of our world are subject to Allah’s (c.c.) command. They are under Allah’s (c.c.) command. If you reject Allah (c.c.) then one day in future you may find yourself in the deepest holes of hell, feeling the most extreme pain, and face the infinite grandness and power of Almighty Allah. We are warning you, don’t say you didn’t know. We are all servants of Allah (c.c.), we must warn each other. You are going to live in Allah’s (c.c.) property and reject Him, aren’t you? You will carry the soul and the life Allah (c.c.) has given you and reject Him, won’t you! Can there be such a thing! Just think. Allah’s (c.c.) book is not to be rejected. Allah (c.c.), His Messengers and Muhammad are not to be rejected; for all Prophet’s have their place in the Islamic amantu (fundamentals). Entirety of-of all divine values have their place in the Islamic amantu (fundamentals). Islam has no chance of being rejected. The sun rises for all over the world. Islam was sent down for all nations, until the day of Qiyamah. All nations and all Prophets have one religion and that is Islam. All Prophets are Muslims. You are going to leave Allah (c.c.) and render his servants divine, aren’t you? A mere human who was born into his mother’s arms, and soiled himself, and fed by his mother is being called “the son of Allah.” And they worship him as if he was a divine entity. Those utterances are slanders to Almighty Allah and his beloved servants. A sound person would do no such thing. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim has been warning you for fourteen centuries and will do so in the future, too. It wants to save you. It pities you. Says, “do not go to hell.” Says, “Come, let us all go to Paradise under the command of Almighty Allah.” Allah is the Master of us all. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is the book of us all. Muhammad (s.a.v) is the Prophet of us all. Muhammad (s.a.v) is not the Prophet of the east or the west. He is the Prophet of humanity until the Qiyamah, he is the Prophet of all ages. If you deny that, then it is your decision. Islam does not assert. Islam does not enforce. Islam speaks to mind and will. The true rational din (religion) is Islam. Islam speaks to mind. Al-Quran Al-Karim speaks to mind. Those who try to slander Islam by saying, “In Islam, logic is not valued,” are foolish people. They are brainless people. They could neither comprehend Islam nor the logic behind it. The people who have been standing in the way of science for centuries should look at themselves to see the real irrationality. The Qur’an’s primary command promotes discoveries and consciousness-related research. Islam is a science. It is a science of all sciences, a supernatural science. Islam is Allah’s Ilm (knowledge). It is the system He established. The better you acknowledge that the more benefit you will gain. The better you realize that, the more benefit you will gain. If you misunderstand, that means you have done wrong. In Islam, there are no falsehoods, imperfections or shortcomings. Imperfections and shortcomings belong belong only to those who misunderstand, or those who don’t believe it. Bigotry and backwardness also belongs to them. And all the nonsenses. For that reason, we have briefly talked about having faith in the books of the Prophets. Now, let’s talk about having faith in Prophets. “Rasul” is the name for the Prophets who were given a divine book and sharia. In other words, if a Prophet was given a sharia and a book exclusively to him, then that Prophet is a “Rasul.” In that respect, they are more special than the Nabi (Prophets). According to some âlims (Islamic scholars), the words “Rasul” and “Nabi” are synonims. They have said, “even though they are different in semantic meaning, they refer to the same thing.” These were the words of some Islamic scholars (âlims). Whether they were given a divine book and a sharia exclusively, or not, it is a obligation (fard) for us to believe all Prophets. We have believed in all prophets, whether they are Nabi or Rasul. Pay attention to Islamic Amantu (Fundamentals). Your heart shall acknowledge the prophethood of all Prophets, and you tongue shall declare it. That is one of the core principal of having iman (faith). Study the Islamic iman (faith) well.

(Dakika: 59:59)

Islam does not allow anyone to speak ill of Isa, Musa, Ibrahim or Nuh. They are Prophets and all Prophets are eminent characters. May Allah’s greeting be upon them. We do not let anyone speak ill of Isa or Musa. They are glorious Prophets. The people of their period stopped them from performing their missions. Some carried their missions, but others were stopped. And they never even gave Isa a chance to do his duty. They wanted to crucify him, but Allah (c.c.) saved him from crucifixion. We invite you to Al-Qur’an Al-Karim so that you can learn true Isa and true Musa from it. The Qur’an does not let anyone speak ill of them or our mother Mary (Miriam). Mary was a glorious, virtuous (namus), and honorable woman. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim narrates all Prophets like that. O, brothers come! The Islamic amantu (fundamentals) includes Isa, Musa, Bible, Scriptures, Torah, Psalm and much more. There is not anything that is not included in Islam. Refusing Islam is similar to saying, “I refuse the Sun, I can snuggle with a firefly to sleep; I prefer darkness to sunlight can gather wood in the dark,” but you can mistakenly collect a cobra and throw into your backpack, too. Please, do not befall into such falsehoods. The fates of those who refuse the truth are much worse.

So, valuable friends,

After summarising the notes about Prophethood, let us move to the subject of believing in resurrection after death. After people pass away all parts of their bodies shall be resurrected from the grave by Allah Ta’ala via giving them souls, and that occurrence is called, “Ba’s.” This is certain. What are the documents, you ask? So, I ask you: The entity who created this realm from nothing, created us, made us speak, and live, and equipped us with such power; can He who created all these from nothing not resurrect the one He killed? The evidence is clear. You are obliged to believe in that by saying, “vel ba’sü ba’del mevt,” which roughly means, “Indeed have I believed in the resurrection.” You shall not say “I used to believe, or maybe I will,” that would not be iman (faith).  Your heart shall acknowledge and your tongue shall declare.

Beloved friends, let’s pass on to the topic of believing in fate (qadar). Fate (qadar) is Almighty Allah’s knowing and writing down everything starting from the infinite past to the infinite future. Allah’s (c.c.) Ilm (knowledge) sees the infinite future and the infinite past. Fate or Qadar in Arabic means Allah knows everything and writes them down. And, “Kaza,” is the fulfillment of the events Allah knew and wrote down. Let’s have a look at that. The word “Qadar” is an infinitive word that means, “predestination, and creed.” There is a time for everything, and Allah (c.c.) makes these things happen in a way that suits His own knowledge and infinite will, and that is called fate, or rather “Qadar.” Believing that everything occurs according to Allah’s (c.c.) approval is one of the fundamental principles of faith (iman). Fate is full of mysteries. The one who trusts in Allah’s knowledge may easily accept fate. Allah does not know less. He has complete knowledge of everything. Does Allah (c.c.) have shortcomings? No, he doesn’t. Does Allah (c.c.) do wrong? No, he doesn’t. Then our fates were written down by Allah (c.c.), too. Allah (c.c.) is devoid of falsehoods. One can only define Him via almighty attributes. There is no fault of flaws. Then a human can only believe without a doubt that fate is manifested by Allah’s (c.c.) knowledge and approval. If there is a fault, that can only be of humankind’s fault. Allah (c.c.) knew the things that you did right or wrong with your own will, from the beginning. And he writes your fate accordingly. Is there anyone pushing you? No. You have the right to use the strength that Allah (c.c.) has given you. You can use it for good or bad. You are free, but you are in a field test. The thing you are going to do is known beforehand. You are not doing those things by force, because if you were, that would not be a test. Everything is known beforehand and written down as our fates. You may think of the people dealing with astronomy for example, they can calculate a lunar eclipse a year ahead. That man calculated the date of the lunar eclipse. But does lunar eclipse happen because they have calculated it? Does that have any correlation with the occurrence of the lunar eclipse? No, but they have calculated the date of the lunar eclipse. So, does their knowledge affect the lunar eclipse in any way? No, it doesn’t. Just like that, your sins or good deeds, the things you shall do right and wrong are known from the beginning. You are free, but you are in a test. That is an aspect of fate, which is called “undecided fate”. And there is the “inevitable fate.” Fate is full of mysteries. It swarms with wonders, if you try to profoundly comprehend the contents of the fate, then your strength will not be enough. Put your faith in it. For Allah’s (c.c) knowledge, omnipotence, and will is infinite. He has no flaws of shortcomings. The one who believes in fate is who acknowledges that Allah’s knowledge is infinite. The man who says, “Allah does not do anything incomplete or faulty,” believes in fate without hesitation. You shall say, “I have believed in,” to Kaza and Qadar (fate) in order to put your iman (faith) into it. Abu Bakr and Umar (r.a.), of course, studied in Prophet Muhammad’s school. And Allah (c.c.) tutored Muhammad (s.a.v) Himself. Muhammad’s (s.a.v) school is the divine school. Allah (c.c.) taught Muhammad (s.a.v). And, Muhammad was the head of the ecole (school) that tutored the world. Those who graduated from that school are companions like Abu Bakr and Umar, and revered individuals such as Uthman and Ali, and all of the companions of Muhammad (r.a.). That was the school they have studied in. They did comprehend the true Islam, then became the shimmering stars of the sky. They are all splendorous stars of the sky, and they did comprehend the fate well. They did believe well. They did do good deeds. They did implement justice nicely. They founded the social state and implemented social justice. They introduced all creatures to mercy, kindness, and love. They implemented the rules of peace to the world. The world peace may only happen via Islam; Islam consists of peace, justice, brotherhood, and mercy. Islam starts with these fundamentals. Those fundamentals can only be implemented via Islamic amantu.

Now, what is the meaning of iman (faith)? Iman is an environment of trust. If a person has iman (faith) then he is trustworthy. That person trusts Allah (c.c.), and the values he believes. He has haqq (true) iman. Allah (c.c.) included him in the environment of trust. The person who has iman (faith) is under Allah’s (c.c.) protection, and he is the environment of trust. He has entered Allah’s (c.c.) fortress and is completely under Allah’s (c.c.) protection.

(Dakika: 1:10:00)

That is true iman (faith). Iman is the name of being inside an impenetrable fortress that is eternal and being under Allah’s (c.c.) protection.

O, beloved friends!

People would ask questions to Allah’s Messenger regarding situations. At those times, there were also conversations about fate. At those times, true lectures were given in Muhammad’s school, the school of revelation (wahy), the true school. For the lectures, answers and judgments came directly from Allah (c.c) The instructions about implementing orders would come directly from Allah (c.c.). Muhammad is the unequaled leader of the world. He is an eminent figure who tutored the world, and he is the leader of education. Allah Ta’ala tutored him, and he tutored the world. That education started with the companions. “Gabrial and Mikail are the first ones among the creatures of Allah (c.c.) to speak about faith (qadar),” they have said. Some people are having difficulties finding the source of the afore quote. Friends; Umar and Abu Bakr were discussing this topic among themselves, and our Prophet arrived and said, “You speak like Gabriel,” to Abu Bakr. And said, “And you speak like Mikail,” to Umar. “Israfil became the referee of theirs.” He settled on the following: “The fate, with the good and the bad, comes from Allah. Taqdeer (free will) comes from Allah. But He does not force anyone to do the good or the bad.” Does Allah (c.c.) force His servant by saying, “You shall do the bad!”, He does not. For that, believe in fate (qadar), and leave all of its contents to Allah’s knowledge. The Prophet (s.a.v) commanded, “That word, is my judgment for the matter between you,” after saying that he turned to Abu Bakr and, “O, Abu Bakr! If Allah Ta’ala wished for no one to revolt against Him, then He would not create the Shaitan,” he commanded. Life is a test. The Damned Shaitan was created for test purposes. For there are two polar, the first is the good, the second is the bad. Who shall select the good, and who shall go for the bad? Allah (c.c.) manifested all questions about life and their answers via Islam. Both the good and the bad polars were manifested, too. You shall reach to whichever destination you wish with your free willIndeed, we have believed in the Paradise, the Hell, the mizan, (the balance of sins and good deeds), and the day of judgment. Everyone shall answer to Allah (c.c.) in the grand trial. Everyone’s deeds will be compared, the good and the bad deeds will be revealed. The Paradise and the Hell are justice, whichever one a person wins shall find themselves in there. We have to say, “We have believed that the day of judgment, mizan, (the balance of sins and good deeds), the Paradise, and the Hell, are justice and truth.” Al-Imam Al-Azam said so, “Indeed, I have believed, and acknowledged with my heart, and declared with my tongue.“ You also should say that. The Mizan is “not knowing the amount of our deeds”; but the good and the bad deeds of everyone are being written down. The mind is helpless in comprehending the importance of the mizan. For no one’s knowledge and intelligence can never reach Allah’s knowledge. You can only acknowledge His knowledge via iman (faith). You can believe that Allah (c.c.) has almighty attributes and His knowledge is infinite. You should do what you are capable of, and don’t meddle with the things your strength can’t reach. Surrender to Allah (c.c.), put yourself in Allah’s (c.c.) hands, believe well; and your amantu (fundamentals) shall be strong.

Dear friends!

About putting your faith (iman) in Allah (c.c.); Allah Ta’ala is One. We have to firmly comprehend Allah’s oneness. The core of iman (faith) rests on that. No one can achieve “complete iman (faith) without profoundly acknowledging Allah’s oneness. You must first lay the foundations of that. Know Allah’s (c.c.) unity thoroughly. Allah is One in His name, One with His attributes, One with His deeds, and One with everything. “Gulhü vallahu ehâd,” read the Al-Ikhlas Surah and fully comprehend its meaning. We have given you the entire Al-Qur’an Al-Karim via discovery notes. We have given you discovery notes from Kalam (divine utterance) and Tasawwuf (Sufism), too. And we shall continue to do so. For we are a member of Islam and a servant of it. We are servants of Islam. And being a Muslim means working for the better good of humanity. The one who does his best to be a good Muslim is the one who works for the better good of humanity. He is the most dutiful person. For the savior of humankind is Islam. And a good Muslim is the one who does beneficial things that would benefit humanity on this path. We have to exert ourselves for this purpose. Allah Ta’ala is One.

Esteemed friends,

There can’t be two, three or five; Allah is One. He forever was and eternally will. “Qul huwal Allahu ahad,” means “Say, ‘Allah is One.’” He is One in His being, and His attributes. “Allah hus-samad,” means “Allah is omnipotent.” He doesn’t need anything or anyone, but everyone is in need of Him. Everyone needs Allah Ta’ala to maintain their needs. Everyone is in need of Him. But he never was, and eternally will not be in need of anything. “Lam yalid,” means “Allah was not born.” And, “wa lam yoolad,” means “He did not beget (a child).” And, “He had no equilavent or similar, and never shall be,” in Arabic, “ve lem yeküllehû küfüven ehad.” Look, Allah (c.c.) was not born, He did not beget a child, or produced one. Because, He is the Creator. The existence of Wajibul Wujud (having no creator) is a necessity of His being. Hence the ones who attribute a child to Him, are the ones who slander Allah (c.c.) and hold equals to Him, which is shirk. And there is no turning back from shirk, so give it up, and repent, and acknowledge Allah’s unity. O, the world! Allah is One! Utter the Islamic testimony of faith, “La ilaha illa Allah wa-Muhammad rasul Allah,” say that now. This way you can get through the gate of salvation. This the gate into the Almighty Islam. Enter and join us. Islam is eternal to the past and the future, and is Allah’s rahmat (blessing). Allah’s rahmat (blessing) embraces you both in the world and in the Hereafter. That would be pitiful if you stay outside of Islam. Why is that you ask? We have explained all the reasons for it, but let me repeat. For we are forgetful beings.

(Dakika: 1:20:00)

We are all servants of Allah (c.c.). Islam is the haqq (true) din (religion) that is Allah’s ruling, Allah’s din (religion) which He established. Allah’s din is the din that was sent down for us all. We have all been offered, Islam. Come, and don’t fall for those who wish to fool you. Get a grip on yourself. Return to Allah (c.c.), and beg to Him, say, “O, my Lord! Bestow me with tawhid iman (faith in Allah’s unity), and Islam,” You should not beg the opposite of that like Abu Jahl, or his men. They begged to Allah (c.c.), “O, Allah! If Muhammad is the true Prophet, and the book he brought is the true book, then pour stones down on us like the rain. And make the skies befall on us.” Can there be a lower, mindless and illogical pray? If Allah Ta’ala had given them what they wished for, then they would instantly be destroyed. In fact, they were destroyed, but later. Why? For the Qur’an is the true book, and Muhammad is the true Prophet. Islam is Allah’s (c.c.) din (religion).

Mu’âwiya and a Yemeni man came face to face. Mu’âwiya said the following to the Yemeni man, but he had no idea how he would reply. Mu’âwiya said, “Your people are so ignorant. They have appointed a woman named “Belkis,” as their leader. The Yemeni man says to Mu’âwiya: “O, Mu’âwiya! Your people are such ignorants. In the face of Muhammad, how did they beg? ‘If Muhammad is the true Prophet, and the book he brought is the true book, then pour stones down on us like the rain,’ they said. The Qur’an is the true book. Muhammad is the true Prophet. O, Mu’âwiya! If stones poured down from the skies right that second,  you would not be in this world. That was how your people begged.” He said Mu’âwiya retreated into silence upon this answer. So, how should they beg? “O, Almighty Lord! Guide us to that religion if Muhammad is the true Prophet, Al-Qur’an Al-Karim is the true book, and Islam is the true din (religion). If they had begged like that; if they have said that they would not be destroyed. Allah (c.c.) would guide them because they wanted guidance. Besides, Allah’s (c.c.) mercy and blessing had eternally embraced everything via Islam.

Dear friends,

My dear brothers and sisters who say, “Allah (c.c.) is One.” Allah’s (c.c.)  oneness is not about a “numerical value.” It is because he has no equals. Allah (c.c.) has no similar or equal. He is One in His almighty attributes, and being, and everything. For he has no similar. He neither begets (a child) nor is He born. Allah does not give birth or be born; He does not be a father. Allah is the Lord, the Creator. He has no equals either. So, what do you call that has no equals? He is One. His mighty is One. For there is no other might like Him. Besides, if you have gathered all minds and dreams together you still could not comprehend Allah Ta’ala’s mighty, and being. We only know of His mighty from His attributes, His almighty names, works, and books. We only know Him in the amount He conveyed to us. The truth is Him, just like He introduced, and recognized Himself. He knows Himself the best. He is unique and almighty. And do not forget, Allah (c.c.) is One! Now, many people are saying, “Allah is One,” but when you look at their lifestyles, utterances, words, and behavior, they make up many divine beings. So, what is this? This is ignorance, they have no idea of what they are doing.

Friends,

Isa is the son of Miriam. Like the other servants that Allah (c.c.) created, he is also a servant and a Prophet. He is a ‘Servant Prophet’ just like the other Prophet’s. Same goes for Uzair Alayhissalam, too. He is also amongst Allah’s (c.c.) servants. Now, let’s have a look. Let’s look into the words of the Christians and the Jews about Isa and Uzair. Al-Qur’an Al-Karim rejects such words. Their views have no correlation whatsoever with Isa, Musa, the Torah or the Bible. We call those deviants, “The ones who left the way of the Bible, the Torah, Isa, and Musa.” The word “wahid” is the name of the numerical value that we know as “one“ which half of the number “two.” It may also be used for the things that have no equals, similar, or peers. Allah Ta’alah has no equals, similar, or peer in terms of His existence and attributes.”Wahid, and Ehad.” Allah Ta’ala is One, both in His existence and His attributes. Allah Ta’ala is samet (omnipotent). He is not in need of anything, but everything is in need of Him. What a shame that the Jews said, “Uzair is Allah’s son.” And the Christians said, “Isa the Massiah, is Allah’s son.” “That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before them.” O, those damned people, how do they change the truth into superstition. Almighty Allah announces these in the 30th Ayah of the Surah At-Tawbah (The Repentance). So, Allah Ta’ala said those Himself. Look, that is the end of the Christians and the Jews who leave the path of the Bible, the Torah, Musa, Isa, and all true Prophets. Islam was sent down to save all nations who left the true path. Islam invites to the truth, to Allah’s unity. There is no second of Allah (c.c.) in existence. Pay attention, “There is no second of Allah (c.c.),” that means Allah (c.c.) is not an object. He can’t be measured, or shattered, nor is he imaginable. He is not a cevher. For there is no araz within Him. Because araz are only attached to cehvers. We will be using the terms “cehver” and “araz” quite a lot, so it is best to explain their meanings now. Cevher is the thing, that occupies a place in the space, and actually makes its presence felt. It is the essence of the matter. And it’s opposite is Araz. Araz holds no place in the space, its presence carries itself, it can only be felt within another being. So, the araz is existent within the cevher.

(Dakika: 1:30:00)

Hence, Almighty Allah is the Creator of the cevher and the araz, and all things. So, Allah Ta’ala is neither a cevher or an araz because he has no similar or equals. He bears no resemblance to His creatures. There is nothing similar to Him, or better than Him. Try to understand Almighty Allah well. Al-Imam Al-Azam lectures of faith (iman) to the world about this topic. Al-Imam Al-Azam learned about true faith (iman) from Muhammad and his companions, the Tabi’un, the Qur’an and the Sunnah. Al-Imam Al-Azam learned his knowledge from the primary sources and lectured the world about the true and acceptable faith (iman) via his Al-Fiqh Al-Akbar, and manifested that knowledge. We are talking about the knowledge of iman (faith). Al-Fiqh Al-Akbar manifests the knowledge of Islamic faith (iman). Tells you the acceptable Islamic faith (iman) that you need. Allah Ta’ala has bears no resemblance to His creatures, and His creatures bear no resemblance to Allah (c.c.) too. Allah is immortal with His attributes ascribed to His Being, and Actions. There are no other immortal beings except for Allah (c.c.). He renders the Paradise existent so those who are in it may live forever. But they can only live forever because Allah makes them. That is not because they are immortal beings, too. Allah is immortal, so His power is more than enough to make you live forever. You do not have the attribute of infiniteness; you can only live in Paradise forever because Allah (c.c.) keeps you alive. The creatures bear no resemblance to Allah (c.c.) whatsoever. That is a result of that Allah’s existence being Wajibul Wujud (has no creator). And the existence of creatures is due to Mumkin al-Wujud  (has a creator). In other words, they can only exist within another being. Everything except for Allah (c.c.) came into being by Allah’s Creation. They are called, Mumkin al-Wujud  (has a creator). And Allah is And Wajibul Wujud (has no creator). Allah is the Being Who exists necessarily, by Himself. His non-existence cannot be thought, and the same goes for His attributes like infinite knowledge, power, and others. It is not possible to compare Him with anything; He can’t be compared because he has no similar. It is strongly emphasized that Allah Ta’ala is One, has no equals, and there is no doubt in that. He is “qadim,” has no beginning, and He is “daim,” has no end. In other words, He is the only Being who has no beginning or end. Allah Ta’ala’s (c.c.) names and attributes were not created later. There is the following difference in Allah’s attributes that are ascribed to His Being or Actions. If the opposite of an attribute unique to Allah Ta’ala is mubah (applicable) for Allah (c.c.) then that is amongst His inherent (subuti) attributes. If the opposite of that attribute is not mubah (applicable) for Allah (c.c.) then it is an attribute of His Being. For Allah (c.c.) has no opposite characters. Can there be the opposite of a thing that has no similar? He has no equals, similars or betters. For that, there are attributes of Allah (c.c.) that are ascribed to His Being, and they have no opposites. But if the antonym of an attribute cannot be applied to Allah (c.c.) than it is ascribed to His Being. Allah is One, we have already established that. “the existence (wujud), eternity (qidam), infinity (baka), uniqueness (wahdaniyat), and Muhalefat al-hawadis, which means, “Allah is not like any other creatures.” And, qiyam bi nafsihi, which means, “self-dependance.” There were personal (zati) attributes. “Life (hayah), knowledge (ilm), hearing (semi’), seeing (basar), will (irada), power (kudrah), speech (kalam), and creation (taqwin).” Now, pay attention because these ones were His attributes ascribed to His Actions. For example, creation, feeding, or killing… He Created; we have acknowledged that, but if he wished, then he would not create us. Look, that is the opposite meaning. Allah (c.c.) has the attribute of Creation since the eternal past. He was already the Creator before He Created anything. So, that means, you can think of the opposites of His attributes that are ascribed to His Actions. These are the inherent (subuti) attributes. But there are no opposites of His personal (zati) attributes.

Most valuable friends,

If the opposite of an attribute is not applicable to Allah (c.c.), then it is a personal (zati) attribute. If it is, then it is an inherent (subuti) attribute. Do you know how grand our Islamic scholars (âlims) (r.a.) are? (Rahmetullahi Aleyhim Ecmain). What a beautiful thing that Allah (c.c.) bestowed them with such blessings of knowledge. Appreciate their value and pray for them. Pray for Al-Imam Al-Azam, along with our other Islamic scholars day and night. The following is narrated in Fetava-i Zahiriyye, “If a person takes an oath by one of Allah Ta’ala’s attributes, we first take a look. If the attribute he swore by is amongst personal (zati) attributes, that oath will be valid; if it is amongst inherent (subuti) attributes, it won’t be valid. For example, if a man said, “I swear by the excellence of Allah (c.c.)”, then his oath is valid. For Allah Ta’ala cannot be ascribed with anything that is the opposite of excellence. He is eternal, infinite and glorious. He is devoid of inferiorities. But if he swears by “Bi Gadabillah,” or “Bi Sahhatillah,” (Allah’s wrath or rage); That oath will not be valid, too. Because Allah (c.c.) is also ascribed with the opposite of those, blessing and mercy for example.” So, that was narrated in Fetava-i Zahiriyye, and its author is Zahiruddin Muhammed Bin Ömer el Buhari. His date of death is the year Hijri 619. He has a profound knowledge of religious sciences, usul, and fiqh. He is one of the eminent scholars of the Hanafi School. He performed the duty of Muhtasib (master of the bazaar) in Bukhara. His legal opinions (fatwa) are counted amongst the most prominent. There are valuable books including extensive information about his life. For example, El Nuknei and, el-Feva’idu’l-Behiyye.

So, we are talking about Allah Ta’ala and Taqaddas’s personal (zati) and inherent (subuti) attributes. Almighty Allah has personal (zati) and inherent (subuti) attributes. His personal (zati) attributes are the following: “Life (hayah), knowledge (ilm), hearing (semi’), seeing (basar), will (irada), power (kudrah), etc.” Allah Ta’ala is alive, and has life. Life (hayah) is one of His personal (zati) attributes. He is a Being whose absence cannot be thought of. He is completely in existence. In other words, He is always alive. His life is eternal and infinite. Power (kudrah) is his eternal attribute, with  (Al Jabbar: The Compeller) he is capable of anything. Knowledge (ilm): Allah Ta’ala knows everything in existence. His attribute of knowledge (ilm) is amongst his eternal attributes. He knows everything, whether they are secret or open. He knows the eternal past and the infinite future. He knows the summits of mountains and the deepest points of oceans. In that matter, there is no difference between the day or the night. So, whether you hide into the dark, or reveal yourself in the day, that does not matter. His knowledge (ilm) embraced everything. Allah Ta’ala (celle celâlûhu azze ve celle) speaks with his eternal attribute the kalam (speech). His speech bears no resemblance to the creature’s speech. The creatures speak via means like letters, voice, and organs. Allah Ta’ala’s speech (kalam) attribute does not need anything of the sort.

So, valuable friends,

“Semi,” is Allah Ta’ala’s hearing attribute. He hears sounds and words; and everything. Allah Ta’ala sees with His eternal attribute, “basar”. He sees everything with that eternal attribute. Shapes and colors are no secrets to Him. And Irada means, “Allah Ta’ala wished everything in the universe of the hereafter that has happened or will happen, small or big, less or more, good or bad, beneficial or harmful; in other words, he wished all these.” Allah implements what He wishes. There is no authority to refuse His will and wishes. He has also personal (zati) attributes like Azamat (infinite grandness), Kibriya (infinite glory), Ahadiyet (his Being) and Samediyet (omnipotence).

So, valuable friends,

We are going to continue on our lecture about Almighty Allah Ta’ala and His almighty names and attributes, InshaAllah. We are going to continue to convey discovery notes from Al-Imam Al-Azam Al-Fiqh Al-Akbar, which is a vast sea of knowledge.
